JC glad you found the problem, you have you're work cut out for you checking to see how much metal ran through it. Hope it's not to bad. Good luck brother

Always made me wonder why they didn't put roller bearings on this cover. Everything else is.
Glad to see you found the problem. Definitely drop your oil pan while you're at it. Too bad you couldn't open up your oil filter and do a though inspection of the pleats just to see how much debris you can find.

You have my luck. I getting ready to get a newer bike, with low miles, hopefully in a couple weeks. i want to get out and ride, and not constantly have to fix Gypsy.

@JCcanU I got the belt back on Gypsy and took her for a ride. While out riding, she was back-firing a little, and had a little vibration, so when I got back home I looked her over, the darn exhaust had a big Crack, so today I'm taking the exhaust down to be welded, but it just seems like every time I fix one thing, something else breaks . Very aggrevating.

@@JCcanU I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination but watching tatro machine videos. When you get a new cover you put in a new bushing I guess you have to size it for the end of the cam and it has to be like reamed . And reamed straight like line board so the crank runs straight in it and runs easy.. if I remember right.. that was going to tackle that motor that I got until I found out that the whole bike was stolen but there was a lot to do in that... That's why I started learning as much stuff as I could..
