I'm impressed by her intelligence, depth of thought, insight, level of maturity, and candid honesty. I hope she retains and builds on this, just as I hope she builds on her brand of pop. I love her comments about pop and alternative music, too. Spot on!

When you play instruments or sing and ya love it, it should natural to sing or play. When I play guitar I base an improvisation around a scale but shit, I go outta the scale but who cares? It's all expression like listen to Jimi Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner at woodstock 69!

Pop can not be serious no matter how deep you right because pop is meant to be fun and the easiest and most mainstream thing to do especially in music culture if you want to get a radio hit.
