Conductor: Oh yeah just slap some eighth note hits in there for the brass. They wont mind at all.
Aka the sax song
My left ear was fond of the Barry solo.
“Barry”
Yeah Barry was the name of the Tenor player.
My friend played this solo in this song and it sounded amazing
For all the brass players who talk about how boring their parts are and how they fall asleep, record yourself playing your part. Now listen back to it and you may notice that your tone and intonation are not what they could be. Strive for great tone and intonation and that is the goal.
See but it’s still boring as fuuu
Okay boomer.
No
Says the sax player lmao
This should be called let it sax let it sax let it sax
Our jazz band is playing this for our huge holiday concert this year
P.s. 4th trumpet is mentally draining on this chart
Yes, I played trumpet 3 in this song and your kind of just sitting around not quite having enough time to drop your trumpet to rest in between notes.
The brass is just there for the sake of this being a jazz ensemble lol.
That ending sax soli has so much swagger
A written in solo for tenor 2?? Now that's a rare one
Yeah it’s so rare for a part 2 alto and tenor sax to have a solo part it’s quite weird lmao
there’s a written solo for all saxes
Playing 1st tenor on this beast of a song. Soooooo fun!!!
Playing second tenor is too!!!!!!
Most calm Alan Baylock chart ever.
We played this in my school jazz band and it was so fun even though I was playing the trumpet 3 part which is a bit boring since this song is mainly a saxophone oriented song.
How high was Alan Baylock when he arranged this chart?
Playing drums on this piece, never got to do it in concert
Mucho éxito!
I had no idea this was inspired by four brothers until now
Playing lead on this in an hour. I’ve only been playing 8 months and a little nervous. Wish me luck!
Kinda late but how did it go?
@@Lukaboi hit all of the b’s!

Lol I get it, four brothers rofl
Lead trumpet should have played a d at the end
Im so nervous. It's my first time playing a piece of jazz and I have the first sax solo.
My band is playing this and the trumpets suck at it I'm a trumpet lol the only good one if that
Does anyone know who the soloists are
Flute part mid
This sounds like family guy music lol
Backrow politics but for saxophones, basically.
2:20
