  • UPDATE (12/2017): We created a sequel that's a musical! See it here:
    • NOTGLaDOS: Electromagn...
When a science-mad A.I. system (voiced by GLaDOS actress Ellen McLain) is installed at NASA, two hapless computer technicians learn the process behind nuclear fusion in the Sun, and how it differs from fission.
This video was produced by the education & public outreach department of NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, focusing on STEM education. It addresses content included in the Next Generation Science Standards, PS1.C: Nuclear Processes
NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., manages the Spitzer Space Telescope mission for NASA's Science Mission Directorate in Washington. Science operations are conducted at the Spitzer Science Center at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. Data are archived at the Infrared Science Archive housed at the Infrared Processing and Analysis Center at Caltech. Caltech manages JPL for NASA.

Despite her viciousness in the games, GLaDOS actually makes a pretty good teacher. 68% intellect, 32% spite. There should be more of this. I imagined GLaDOS would change all of them to either Still Alive or Justin Beiber songs XD I'm GLaD she was able to instill her standard sarcasm to an educational video, mainly referring to the male repairman.

PS: The reason I wanted to do this project was because I want more ladies like you in the world. I made the "mistake" of not studying science and in my final year of college, I took a class in astrophysics and wished I could go back in time and study science from a younger age (I needed to catch up on a heck of a lot more math skills). I'm happy I'm an actor, and wouldn't change a thing in my life, but there are other young ladies out there who I'd love to help guide into the awesomeness of science. :)
