Thanks a lot Neal. Frankly said I didn’t count them personally, but don’t forget the small area of Zamalek. As far as I know, there is still no registration requirement in Egypt, so it may well be that all the numbers that I show are lower than they actually are. Thank you for your feedback.
@@GuidanceX I stayed in Zamalek in 2019 and it is both beautiful and crowded. I think I've seen a figure of 250 thousand in one source and 400 thousand in another. Much as I like Zamalek my heart is in the streets of Misr Gedida
Indeed I found a source with 420.000 residents. Heliopolis is a very beautiful district. Do you wish to see a specific area of it? Be aware that the look has been dramatically changed if you see for example the Hegaz Street or Abo Bakr El Sedeek Street.
@@GuidanceX Oh I know how much it has changed. I loved riding the trams in the 80s and 90s (gone now) and going to Merryland (closed and run down looking last year). But your videos show so many streets that I've walked, shops that I used and the joy of life that is Cairo.
I loved to take the metro from Heliopolis to Ramses Square. Instead the Metro line the “Roxy Ramses Axis” has been built. I also see not all changes positiv. Merry Land is a negative example. Also not all new built bridges are necessary i n my mind. A new bridge has been built and connects Nasr Road with el Fustat. Many small houses have been torn down as a result of the bridge construction. During my next stay in Egypt, I am going to film more in Heliopolis and places with more shops (Medan el Gamea, Korba, Roxy). Then you are excellent prepared for your next stay.
