This book is absolutely wonderful. It is an inspirational story of a couple who have lost their only child. The emotions of this book go from laughter to tears. Vera and Dominic had to deal with the pain of loss in their own way causing them to lose sight of each others needs. Readers can learn alot from the insightful spiritual journey they take and the message of forgiveness and trust. This is Christian Fiction at its best in my opinion. Jessie wrote a memorable book for the 100th narrated and performed by Jay Dyess! Congratulations to you both for reaching such a milestone in working and collaborating together on these books in production. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them and a lot of them I have listened to and read numerous times in one month. It is wonderful to see people enjoying their work and honoring God while they are working. Keep up the good work as long as God allows.

“Young does not mean beauty to me. You equal beauty.”

I really enjoyed this in marriage second chance romance. I don’t read many of these, and really can’t imagine reading one that isn’t Christian. Our culture is so focused on your feelings in the moment and I adore the concept of commitment and the second chances we get every day. I love how this second chance romance doesn’t require our mains to have broken up. I love the renewal of commitment and the faithfulness of vows.
I can’t imagine life after such a tragedy and I pray I never experience such a thing. Gussman does a great job of dealing with the realities and pains of life. As Christians we aren’t promised a life exempt from the pains of sin imposed on creation. This was a lovely and sweet romance to curl up with. I’m excited to see where this series goes.

Many times the loss of someone destroys a marriage & it is difficult to survive. Each person deals with it differently. When my father in law passed my husband had a horrible time dealing with it. Faith helped me. But my husband's wasn't as strong. Leaning on Christ's peace & comfort is so important. This book shows the reality of the struggle of the pain of loss toward recovery.

The beginning of this book was very sad for me, my heart was hurting for what they've gone through, and individually they dealt differently with their hurt.... and then it turned into a compassionate, healing, beautiful and uplifting love story. I won't easily forget this story.

As someone who has also lost a son this book touched me so profoundly. My son was 23 so we had so much more memories that the broken hearts in this book.
On a second note. Where are the “chapters” in the “more”? I listen while my daughter is working. I really need the running timeline besides the counter at the bottom of the screen.

This was a really hard listen. It's a great story, but so much heartache and heaviness. And cluelessness - talk to each other, people!
Seriously though, I've been in a marriage like this couple when they were at their most distant. I'm glad they found their way back to each other. I'm also glad I finally found some time to listen to it!

I loved this heartwarming love story of Vera and Dominic who have been married for a decade, and the foundation of their great marriage survives the lost of their only child, Trent. In the early 1960's, my Dad was an evangelist who opened each service with his theme song, " Turn your eyes upon Jesus". When that song was mentioned in Chapter 28, it brought fond memories back and after over 50 years, I can still remember the words. That song is what helped Vera stay strong in her doubts about her marriage when Dominic worked with another designer for a landscaping project. This book is a great start to a perfect series and I look forward to reading and listening to the other books in the series. I know that Jay Dyess will bring Jessie's books to life with his narration of an audiobook. I highly recommend this book and the series to those who enjoy clean inspirational books. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.

What a beautiful background for the video and the book is starting out good. The concept of healing gardens is great. Flowers do bring a calming spirit. I think that is why I enjoy the spring season so much, so this opening for this book is enjoyable. Congratulations on this 100th audiobook created by the Jay/Jessie team. I hope you produce 100 more. My review: Wow! Jessie Gussman, just start a new series with all the hard stuff right up front. Dominic and Vera deal with their grief in very different ways that impacts their marriage. The author treats the situations and emotions with respect and compassion. I love the idea of a healing garden. The scene with Jay Dyess was a nice little surprise. These characters are all so wonderful and I hope to see all of them in future books.

Vera and Dominic Miller lost their son, and she drew in on herself. Prior to that she and Dominic worked together, she designed and he built her gardens. Since Trent’s death Dominic has worked with another designer on a project, and she wants him for more, but both Vera and Dominic want to revive their marriage and work solely with each other again. A touching story about loss and the different ways people cope, and also how to reclaim a close relationship. Great read!
