- At the beginning of Fallout 4, you can refuse the Vault-Tec Rep's services. But what if both characters say no? Check out how Nora and Nate react to the persistent salesman in this video.

Would’ve been a funny game over scenario if the salesman actually left if you said no meaning you don’t get to enter the vault leaving you and your family to die to the bombs. Either that or a secret alternate play through as a ghoul.

You wake up as a ghoul and some vault dweller gets out from a vault in search for his child and beats you up
You could always follow him back to Sanctuary when he gets threatened at the gate and your spouse takes Shaun inside. Though you'll need godmode, since the bomb still goes off

That 'no means no' went out the window real freakin fast
I always felt bad for the guy, so I find him in Goodneighbor and send him to Sanctuary. Vault-Tec screwed him badly, and he deserves a better ending than wandering the Wastes.
I set a shop up for him since he's literally the most experienced salesman in the Commonwealth

This is the story of the dialog wheel in a nutshell: Yes, sarcastic yes, question that loops back to here, no (that will actually mean yes)
Therefore, the correct solution would be to install a mod to replace the dialog choice.
Overall this will not solve the problem. But visually it will be less annoying

That salesman IS VAULT-TEC! Too bad he had to live 200+ years the hard way…but then again if they had let him in he’d be dead. But then again maybe he’d rather be dead. He’s a tragic character for sure… “Mongo only pawn in game of life.”

Nate and noras dynamic in either senario is wholesome in its own way. They loved each other....

Yeah this essentially had 1 choice in the entire game, being which faction you choose. The gameplay is fun asf and I do love it but the story and rpg aspect is so unbelievably mediocre

@@tyronestrydom1 the problem with fallout 4 is playing as an actual character where there’s only so much you can do. Your options in every conversation boil down to Yes, Yes but sarcastic, No (Puts the quest on hold but you gotta say yes to advance) and some random question

Because of bad writing! The devs railroad you into it whether you want it or not! You hear that, Bethesda?! Stop forcing us into your single sided story lines and let's see some PCs get turned into ghouls or get the FEV injection! =)

You can. But it's a Bethesda game, so you just load back into the last autosave because it's impossible to actually fail anything.
You can follow the Vault Tec rep back to Sanctuary and see the bomb go off
Reminds of my first ever interaction with piper, legit din't wanted to do a interview with piper and i was only going for no and sarcasm lines but the game forced me to do, and when she asked at least what i suggest for the people that lose their loved ones and i say "revenge" she got my Mad with my Nate lol
That’s crazy that they’re both saying no for themselves and the other is convincing them to say yes. So it’s either they don’t wanna or they do. Wish you could make them agree with you.

I find odd how they sort of give the impression you could reject him, but have your partner eventually come in and say "yes" if you wont, is very jarring especially as he literally runs to the vault to drop off your paperwork just seconds before it all goes to shit. Feel like they could have handled it better, maybe you filled in the paperwork yesterday and he's come by to say it's been dropped off and maybe give you a Vault-tec branded toy for Shaun.

After watching this? I'm actually surprised that Bethesda didn't put a consequential senerio where the bombs dropped and everyone in the household died because they turned the Vault-tec man away. Major LOL!
