I'm using this in my reports since a while. My use case is, that for "new to powerbi" people, I"ve created some "GIFs" from screen recordings, in order to show how to create bookmarks, or use a visual like the decomposition tree....etc ;)
Every one of these power bi videos gives my reports a significant upgrade, thanks so much! With the ongoing pandemic I've missed in-person BI meetups like SQL Saturday, but channels like this on youtube have allowed me to really level up my reports.
My favorite application is the beautiful moving background. So simple, but really sells the website feeling for leadership power bi report. Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic video! Those are some solid innovative ways to improve the visual presentation of your report. Though, honestly, that tooltip one is game changing! I love the idea of being able to have an animation for a tool tip, especially since many of my clients are not the most tech savvy. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Amazing ! Love how you pay close attention to the presentation of the report-something a lot of report devs don't do! For me, I believe a report *has to look good* ! Great use cases for gifs as well. 👍🏾

This is a great idea. I published all of my teams dashboards to an App. I’m thinking about redesigning our landing page to use a Gif instead of just “Landing Page” text on a boring background. I’ll create an animated landing page gif using PowerPoint 🤩
Is anyone else experiencing terrible gif quality when viewing in a published report or app in the online service? Quality is perfect when viewing in desktop or in SharePoint but viewing in the online service lowers the quality to the point I can't even use the gifs 😢

However the dimension of my .pbix became enormous (from 4 to 45 mb 😮). So I’ve erased the wallpaper, but the dimension remained the same 😢 Is there any “blind memory” in .pbix that I need to clear? Hi, it seems you have a lot of experince with graphics in pbi :-) I'm trying to insert base64 encoded animated pngs which are stored in a SQL server, but I have the problem that only the first pictureframe is shown with no further animation :-( I#m using the visual "simple image" maybe you have an idea how to solve this problem?

Great video, really cool stuff. You can also make one enhancement for even more transparency for button. You can actually create measure like: "Transparent = "#FFFFFF00" and used it for fill color to get transparent background :)

Update. Adding the gif substantially slowed down the load time of the landing page. Reverted back to static image.
