@@hajimichealis7922honestly, it would be a lot more better if you repaint it into a nice colour. I'd use a red base for it, with a nice gold orange coat for it too.

My most sincere apologies for having to comment twice, but, something tells me this might be the end of it all.
This is the most satisfying conclusion for me, but a conclusion means the end. This has been a fantastic journey, a journey for Protoceruptops papolus, a thing that may be terrible on the surface, but deep, deep down, it holds a special place in us. Papo may be gone, but the story of them hasn't, and although the end may have been a bad one to go off with in some ways, it reminds us of how much we humans are known to make mistakes. Humanity will fall, but our memories will not.
And yet maybe, just maybe, if you really squint at it, P. Papolus could be the best one of them all

After doing extensive research I am afraid that my good friend might be correct, diminishing quality could be a sign of loss of money which would eventually end up into bankruptcy. Rexy Rex let us start a group in which we warn everyone about the end of Papo. The next figure will be even worst.

Remember how disliked the Amargasaurus was a few years back? Or the Giganotosaurus? They pale in comparison to this thing. I really feel like Papo's last decent figure was their 2019 Spinosaurus. Their Allosaurus is also still one of my favorites though and I wanted it all the way back in 2012 from finding a mod for JPOG that was based on it. Didn't get it until a few years back though, but it was definitely the first non JP dinosaur figure I ever wanted as an adult collector.
thank you, RUclips, for introducing me to the diverse hobby of collecting dinosaurs, and apparently that Schliche isn't the only company that makes Dinosaurs, or that collecting dinosaurs was even a thing.

I feel the exact same way… I got into papo but this years figures really made me look at my shelf and my past and say… why… why did I bother getting papos bad figures… for the sake of completion I guess but this figure right here I just couldn’t justify it… I’ve moved on to PNSO but am taking the lesson with me that completion doesn’t matter and I should only get the ones I really really really like

Like everyone else. I really despise this monstrosity, and i have no idea what Papo were thinking, personally i still like papo, i still have hope for the company. Im sure a lot of us (including you, David) have started our ever growing collection with papo, it was THE dinosaur figure company that we would look to in quality, cheap price, and overall good figures. Now we look to PNSO, safari, eofauna etc.. if papo focused on very scientific ally accurate animals with the same use of detail as their older figures i think they would be a top notch figure company. I will try to be getting there mosasaurus sometime, but other then that i still have hope for papo. Sure hope they are listening to us. Great review David!

I just picked up the Papo Proto. It is indeed Schleich quality. Fortunately, the upcoming Papo Kronosaurus, and Mosasaurus are PNSO quality. Even the 2023 Papo Einiosaurus is leaps and bounds beyond this Protoceratops.
I bought it for the sake of buying it and it's way more expensive where I live 😅 There were so much flaws with that Protoceratops Papo Fell to the dark side with this one
