I will forever curse those music shows and other self proclaimed live programs/events that force them to use handsync especially since it haunted their image as an instrumental band for 10 years. They never had the same problem in Japan since they were scouted as an indie band so there was no 'produced band' bias against them. Hongki's japanese friends are either surprised or don't believe him when he claims FT is an idol band in Korea.
I agree with you, they have done a disservice to our FT Island for 10 years and they have force them to live like exiles instead of support their talents.
To summarize: the common opinion is that FT is a talentless bunch of pretty boys that can't play their assigned instrument or sing a tune. They got a fresh start in Japan and worked hard to integrate themselves in the band scene, which eventually paid off at the cost of their popularity in South Korea.
mrt in some tv shows they don't allow the instruments to be plugged in supposedly there is no system to carry the music and voice so they have to pretend they are playing no band in Korea plays live all the time so FT island doesn't go to that many TV shows anymore they decided to stop attending some shows and do only a couple in some cases they do handsync in others live that is why their concerts are better to check their talents.
