    My front tire went out because it's an old one. And i used this to get to the shop for a new tire. I bought a new tire and got zero complaimts from them about it being messy and everything worked out just fine. Everyone is complaining about it ruining your tire, but... If your tire goes flat. Wouldn't you want a new tire anyways???

    Thank you for your video🙋‍♀ . I think your demonstration was simple and straightforward. I'm going to try it today or tomorrow for my minivan tire. The only thing is that I don't have a compressor to put more air or one of those measurement tools
    (I wouldn't know how to use it either 🤦‍♀). So, I'll just use it and go straight to the tire shop🤷‍♀. Thanks, again🙏. Blessings

    My tire guy said to avoid these products. You are better off having a spare in good condition to use. Unless you get a flat with the spare already on while the other flat tire is in the shop... The reason being, these products gum up the valves and the Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors (the ones that are a part of the valve). I guess as an ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT you could use this if you are stranded but be prepared to pay for the tire shop to clean the residue off the rim, and possibly replace the valve and/or TPMS. Great video explaining how to use this product. Safe driving!

    I plan on having a plug kit, and tire inflator in my car at all times, and this as a 3rd backup. No spare tire in my vehicle which is fine, i've only had like 2 flats in my 40 years of driving, and both times already parked at home when I discovered the flat.

    I used this stuff on a tire I had a nail puncture in and I had a plug put into which was very close to the sidewall. The plug was OK for about six months but after that it began losing air again. I would have to put 10 psi in it every two/three weeks. Since it was such a small leak, I decided I had nothing to lose trying this to plug the small leak. It's been well over a year and it's still holding.

    Can anyone tell me if the compressor can be reused or do you need a new one? If you cant use the tyre and often the wheel, then how can you reuse that. I took the kit out and I have a full size spare in my 2019 Jazz, thank goodness, as it came in handy one Sunday evening after i hit a pothole. The kit would never have repaired it and i would have been suck out at 7pm in the rain waiting for a low loader. Why oh why did they take out the spare? Its just wrong on every level and the cost of replacing this one use items is vast when you put in the cost of the tyre also.

    Do NOT KEEP THIS PRODUCT IN YOUR TRUNK..it can explode in heat over 120 degrees Fahrenheit, and that is easy to get to in a trunk in the sun. keep it in the glove box or a box in the back seat floor, so the air in your car will keep it cool, and remember to take it with you if it is a hot day, or keep it in a lock metal box..or better yet, a plastic cooler with a lock

    I believe you are supposed to have the valve on your tire at the bottom of the tire, does anyone know if this is true? I would think it would be the opposite, so the sealant can run down the tire to find the leak, but maybe it helps blow the sealant up through the tire, and also let it settle downwards in case the hole is where the valve is..any info on this from experience?

      DrZazzoo I've never heard that Dr - no mention of it on the can; not that the manufacturer would mention that ! I guess it depends on the situation a person is in. if you're stranded, or have a flat on a hill where you can't jack the vehicle - it would be an easy decision

    • @JodianGaming
      @JodianGaming 8 лет назад +4

      +DrZazzoo ... YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!
      As someone who's actually worked with tires for years I can tell you right now that if you spray one of these into your tire you'll be buying a new tire instead of having a hole patched. The chemical mess in these spray patches actually penetrates the rubber on the interior of your tire. Once that happens the glue, used in patching, can't bond to the rubber of the tire. Thus, the tire can't be patched.
      Don't waste your time with these stupid cans. Most tire punctures are slow leaking so long as you DON'T remove the item that caused the puncture. Keep a good 12v air pump in your vehicle and if you get a nail in your tire just leave the nail in there, air up the tire, and you should have enough time to drive to the closest service station before it's flat again.
      In most cases a professional tire patch job will cost about the same as one of these stupid cans anyway, so just get it done right.

    • @haitianpanda3173
      @haitianpanda3173 4 года назад

      Not true tires would of been dry rotted by that point, the outside part of a brake drum has no function, vehicles that have never broke down have rusty drums

  • @JodianGaming
    @JodianGaming 8 лет назад +24

    No... No... No... No!!! NEVER USE THESE!
    I've got years of experience working on vehicles and I can tell you right now if you spray one of these into your tire it will cost you A LOT more than $15. The chemical in the can penetrates the rubber on the inside of the tire and will not allow the glue, used in patching, to bond to the tire. Ergo, your $15 just cost you an additional $60+ for a new tire when the temporary (even the can admits it's only a temporary solution) goo patch fails. In addition, this stuff can cause damage to your valve stem and WILL destroy tire sensors (costing another $120+ to replace)
    The best option to prepare for a flat is to keep a 12v tire pump in your vehicle. Most tire punctures are slow leaks while the offending object (nail/screw/etc) is still in the tire. Once you notice the tire is low you should be able to easily air up the tire with your 12v pump, without removing the offending object, and drive to the nearest service station for a repair job.
    Also of note, tire puncture repairs usually only cost about $15-$25 and are a permanent solution.

    valve stem should be at 12 o'clock, not 3 o'clock, first if possible have some air, if not, is ok, but , Jack the car, then, value stem must be at 12 o'clock.

      Directions on the can says the valve stem should be positioned at 6 o'clock.
