Great video. This is how I teach it: Soy = characteristics Estoy = conditions (The condition of being married, for example.) This usually clears up the "Estoy feliz vs soy feliz" conundrum, too.
This is an amazing video! There are apps (Duolingo for example) that tell you what the words mean and how to combine them in a sentence. But they don't explain why something is or isn't grammatically correct, they just tell you it's wrong. This video cleared up ALOT about soy and estoy! ¡Mucho gracias, mi amigo! ¡Yo estoy muy feliz!
Thank you so much it helped alot, but i have a question, you used i am happy for yo soy, but happy is a feeling that can change so can you please explain?
Sir please do verbs like( to learn to work.. To read.. and like this..) then say I learn, you learn they, she,,, ... And all.... ❤❤❤I'm no English speaker so if my comment is not understandable tell me 😅
Hmmm. If you haven't already done so, what's the difference between como esta and como estoy? I'm rather confused on that. I'm a rather slow-learner but I am trying to learn spanish, seeing as a number of the spanish speakers I'm around seem to like it when I speak their native tongue.
Yes. We say "Soy feliz" when it is something more permanent or general. It is like saying " I am a happy person " When we say " Estoy feliz" we mean it like something is going on that is making you happy at the moment.
Great question. If you are thinking in English I am saying "Jo soy" That's the correct sound in Spanish. However, if I get lazy when talking, and a lot of Hispanics do, the sounds tend to come out as, "Yo soy" (from an English perspective pronunciation) Basically Spanish "Y" is an English "J" However most English Speakers keep it as a "Y" sound and that is not the most correct sound. So if I write "yate" you are supposed to say "jate" or "jateh"
This is literally the best video ive seen that gives the difference and is directly to the point. I finally understand.
One of the simplest explanations. Much better than trying to remember a list for each one. Im better learning rationale.
Great video.

thankyouuuuuu
Yo soy feliz
Yo estoy cansado
Both of those can change. So I’m still confused.
yo soy feliz - if you're in general a happy person
yo estoy feliz - you're happy right now (maybe) bacause something happened, you got a present etc.
👍🏼
So you can say both , estoy feliz and soy feliz right ?
Yes. We say "Soy feliz" when it is something more permanent or general. It is like saying " I am a happy person "
When we say " Estoy feliz" we mean it like something is going on that is making you happy at the moment.
Yo soy bueno means i am ok or i am calling myself a GOOD person?🤔🤔🤔
That means "I am a good person"
Which one should i use ..if u want to say she is my wife... " Ella está mi mujer"..or "ella es mi mujer". ?
Hi. It is " Esta es mi mujer "
@@realcaribbeanspanish7720 why i use es not está ... especially this can change in the future
l have question do you say "yo soy" or "jo soy" ?

@@realcaribbeanspanish7720 gracias as a beginner that was really helpful💖
Can yoy tell me why it is Yo soy feliz and not yo estoy feliz because your mood can change
Feliz has to be soy and tired has to be Estoy. That one makes no sense. They’re both can be temporary
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!!
