- From cathedral builders who would never see their finished works to arborists planting forests they will never walk under, we have the capacity and obligation to shift our gaze into the future, to be a “good ancestor”.
Mara has lived full-time in the Bitterroot Valley for 19 years and has been peddling books at Chapter One Book Store since 2005. In bookselling, she has found the sweet spot between serving her community and constantly learning something new. Mother to an hilarious 9 year-old, she also makes time to pursue multiple types of storytelling in art, music, writing and performing.
Recently, she finished a degree in literature and creative writing and looks forward to a life of continued learning. Constantly amazed at our very own “backyard”, Mara loves to cross country ski, hike, kayak, backpack and had the divine experience of hosting the St. Mary’s Peak Lookout last summer. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

'Intentional mistakes' does not merit too much Grace. Sanctions might actually be a better option. RCCR.

every day for me...
Only if it benefits us
Not just children though and not simply long-term however. We should Teach and Encourage and Exemplify People to *THINK.*
I Know me can do better.

Here's a one paragraph summary of this talk that was created by ChatGPT:
The speaker delves into the contrast between short-term thinking and "farsight," using personal anecdotes and societal examples. Short-term thinking, exemplified by quick fixes and immediate solutions, is juxtaposed with "farsight," an approach involving extended forethought and long-term planning. The narrative explores how this applies to daily life choices, societal trends, and parental decisions, emphasizing the importance of teaching future generations to anticipate, plan for, and prevent problems rather than simply reacting to them. The talk advocates for a shift in societal culture towards considering the long-term impact of present actions, drawing from examples of communities, organizations, and individuals already embracing this farsighted mindset to positively impact future generations.
TLDR
Here's a human's summary. She saved her daughter from a minor incident and it let her to thinking how she could avoid any similar incidents in the future. She then discovers that futurists already exist and becomes one. She hopes the practices of futurists can be more widely adopted by society for the sake of her children and our children's children in what she calls the farsighted mindset . @@jonr6680

De-Centralization is the way to go!
the jewish establishment are the ones pushing for digital currencies, social credits, ESG and such.. so they want the exact opposite
I try...
The smartest thing that should be on everyone's mind right now should be to invest in different streams of income that are not dependent on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in gold, silver, and digital currencies (BTC ETH...).
Even with the current dip in the market I'm still glad I can smile 😊 back at my portfolio of $19750 built from my weekly trading with Mrs Olivia.
Same here, I earn $19,500 a week. God bless Mrs Olivia, she has been a blessing to i and family.
Oh please, how can someone get in touch with Mrs Olivia!!?
I will leave her number just below this comment

I would actually disagree our society is built on a economic system that only incentivces short term profits. Preparing kids for a reality that isn't there only set's them up for failure.
there is a such thing as a short-term memory loss some people have
You can't teach students or teens if they don't want to learn.
They always want to learn, it’s just about presentation and teaching them things they’re interested in. Some are more hardheaded than others but they need to be met like 75% of the way
maybe if you wanted us to think long-term you shouldn't have wrecked the planet and expected us to clean up your mess
people I don't like
maybe she is angry with me
