Mattel is definitely trying to appeal to the Integrity audience with these dolls for sure 😆 I think it’s good for mattel to have some competition out there to keep them alert.. Still, they still try to get away with horrible fashion choices 😂😅🙈
My favorite is curly/curvy Andra in the second look with the blue and white color scheme. I haven't received this doll yet from this wave, I only have Elle and Brandon so far (and LOVE them), but I will probably keep her curly when I get her. I kind of want to give her a Barbie and the Rockers vibe, her makeup and hair seem to call out for that. I also like her better curvy for some reason, she looks kind of ordinary to me on the regular Made to Move body for some reason. Love the Arjen mini-me doll too, super cute.
The thing I like about re-rooting is it doesn’t have to be done in one day. I take it a row at a time after work for 15 minutes or so. I tried to do a whole head in a weekend and my hands cramped up really bad. So I just make a list of how many holes are in each row. When I finish a row I cross it off and then just do what I can. It feels good to cross off a number on that list. 😁
I love her with straight hair, but I also love the curvy with curls too.😂 You really did both very beautifully. Mine has not arrived yet but it may be hard to resist not to straighten her hair and rebody her. She's gorgeous, she reminds me of the BMR doll with the blond curly hair. My experience with steamers is with kanekalon 18" doll hair, so take with a grain (shaker?) of salt for other hair types. Any steamer with plastic parts for the steamer head will work, but avoid the ones with metal steamer heads. They get too hot and can cause melting. The steam acts similar to a boil wash in behavior, but you can control it a little more. You can use it with a comb to straighten hair, or you can set the hair in rollers and then steam the curls in. As usual, test first and use caution!
I also noticed the hair variation on Andra 🙋🏻♂️ I got my first one physically on a store and got the extra curly one and then I received my second Andra from Mattel creations with the different hair type. So I decided to buy a second Victoria to see if she also had a hair variation but in my case it didn’t. The one I bought from a store came with the same hair as the one from Mattel creations. My favorite girl from this line is Andra hands down. This weekend I bought a third one to keep in box 🤷🏻♂️ thanks for this Amazing video ❤

I have two of these dolls. The curls on mine are the same. But then they were bought at Mattel Creations the same day. I'm actually glad I accidently bought the second doll because I can keep one in the box. 🙂 I'm still waiting for the red head. I ordered it from Amazon and they informed me that it wouldn.t be shipped until the 31. Your restyles are always a joy to watch. 🙂
They're from different batches - look at their kneecaps! The one with the uniform curls are from the first batch (which is what I got) and she has darker knees compared to the rest of her body. People were complaining about this, and now mattel have seemed to have fixed it, and her hair is more separated.
My favs are the School Soldier and Easter Sunday. I love the way you did the curvy's hair. That is my favorite of all the hairstyles you have done that I have seen : ) Since Spring started we've had even more snow here in northern Utah, USA.
The knees look different between both as well, one seems to have darker knees very odd …… either way she is my fav from this line cant wait to get mine in the mail 😍

There is a you tuber called everything dolls and she does really good re-roots. She has a baby steamer that she will use to lay the hair down and flatten it out. Might be worth checking out. I love the face and the makeup on these dolls. Love your curvy look re-style. ❤you are just the best!

Wow, I did not know about the curly hair variants. I have seen another review of this doll that shows the dark knees though. My Park Pretty Barbie from a few years ago has that knee issue too, that's the first time I ever noticed it. I wonder why that happens.
Kindly watch Jaymes Mansfield as she has videos to style human synthetic wigs. I used those steaming techniques with my dolls to straighten thier hair but boil washing is easier. Steaming would be best to change the curl patterns of the dolls to achieve vintage looks. Not sure if you are into bouffant looks thou

Yay another fun video Arjen. You worked extra hard this time, I think they both turned out great. Rerooting takes some getting used to, I wish I could teach you no doubt you would do amazing reroots, once you get the hang of it its easy trust me. I loved both outcomes on both girls, I actually got this Andra doll but keeping her in box , really want the buff Ken doll. I prefer straight hair myself on most of my dolls and when I straighten mine I do it with a mini hair straightener as they are not super hot and works wonders every time. I have used the steam on my clothing iron to straighten and smooth kanekalon hair and it works but have to be careful as always, there's a nice fine kanekalon hair I use mainly and a courser one that you can straighten without burning but it's more stiff so I don't use it often. ✌👏💖✌💜

Holy cannoli! Next to the Odile mermaids, Model 16 is my favorite! She's so gorgeous and so sexy! I have, um, more than one. Got one whose hair was relaxed and she was put on an original MTM body. So beautiful. Definitely going to try your restyling hints. The high ponytail with the itty bitty braid near her forehead is a wonderful style! I got the version with the small curls and one piece outfit. I ironed her hair as I usually do and it got really damaged. Even hot air melted the hair...its the worst hair I've seen😢

So the super fluffy hair girl is like a second batch or something? Is nice that in Europe you can choose which one you get, my friend from Sweden got by chance the fluffy hair girl. I personally prefer the first batch (sorry for saying that, I have no other thing to say) girl's hair. On the other hand, that knees color difference is a completely bummer. This makes me mad and sad at the same time. I had no idea about this issue until hours after unboxing mine and I live in a tropical country so I'm not sure if I'll keep her in pants 365 days a year to cover that monstrosity. Why? Why they did that to her? Yes they fixed that but I guess thousands and thousands of them were sold, mostly for us who live in third world country. It really makes me super sad. Sorry about the rant. Wow, I did not know about the curly hair variants. I have seen another review of this doll that shows the dark knees though. My Park Pretty Barbie from a few years ago has that knee issue too, that's the first time I ever noticed it. I wonder why that happens.
Kindly watch Jaymes Mansfield as she has videos to style human synthetic wigs. I used those steaming techniques with my dolls to straighten thier hair but boil washing is easier. Steaming would be best to change the curl patterns of the dolls to achieve vintage looks. Not sure if you are into bouffant looks thou

Yay another fun video Arjen. You worked extra hard this time, I think they both turned out great. Rerooting takes some getting used to, I wish I could teach you no doubt you would do amazing reroots, once you get the hang of it its easy trust me. I loved both outcomes on both girls, I actually got this Andra doll but keeping her in box , really want the buff Ken doll. I prefer straight hair myself on most of my dolls and when I straighten mine I do it with a mini hair straightener as they are not super hot and works wonders every time. I have used the steam on my clothing iron to straighten and smooth kanekalon hair and it works but have to be careful as always, there's a nice fine kanekalon hair I use mainly and a courser one that you can straighten without burning but it's more stiff so I don't use it often. ✌👏💖✌💜

Holy cannoli! Next to the Odile mermaids, Model 16 is my favorite! She's so gorgeous and so sexy! I have, um, more than one. Got one whose hair was relaxed and she was put on an original MTM body. So beautiful. Definitely going to try your restyling hints. The high ponytail with the itty bitty braid near her forehead is a wonderful style! I actually do reroot so one of mine is going to become a brunette. Gotta finish my current Odile reroot first! 😉 I love your videos! And your Mini-Me Ken is perfect. Awesome job!

So the super fluffy hair girl is like a second batch or something? Is nice that in Europe you can choose which one you get, my friend from Sweden got by chance the fluffy hair girl. I personally prefer the first batch (sorry for saying that, I have no other thing to say) girl's hair. On the other hand, that knees color difference is a completely bummer. This makes me mad and sad at the same time. I had no idea about this issue until hours after unboxing mine and I live in a tropical country so I'm not sure if I'll keep her in pants 365 days a year to cover that monstrosity. Why? Why they did that to her? Yes they fixed that but I guess thousands and thousands of them were sold, mostly for us who live in third world country. It really makes me super sad. Sorry about the rant.
