What an incredible end to two incredible episodes. This show did character growth for Oczy and Badeni better than shows with countless more seasons can do. This show is truly incredible
なるほど...
さてはお前作者だな?
That part when Badeni said Oczy’s book doesn’t have the value of a thesis, but it can easily spreads inspiration is right on point. Orb anime doesn’t have the value of a well researched scientific video about heliocentrism, but it definitely spreads the inspiration among people who watch this anime.
Good reaction as always! Can’t wait for the next episode.
I see, Badeni saved Oczy' eyes to see the sky at the end.
Yess🥲
You can imagine my feelings when Badeni broke at the moment Nowak threatened to take Oczy’s eyes.
Remember how Badeni perused the contents of the stone chest and surmised that the author was “oddly childish”. I imagine it finally clicked for him when Nowak told him what Rafal’s age was.
What a hauntingly beautiful ending for Oczy and Badeni. Badeni against his previous declarations leaves something behind to inspire other people, while Oczy dies marveling at the beauty of the night sky he used to fear.
As I theorized previously, it does seem like Badeni left Oczy’s book with the beggar. Whether as oral history or separate papers, who knows? At the very least, the theory lives on.
So it definitely seems like Jolenta will take on the mantle of protagonist, where she will be a fugitive from the church. This will also put her on a collision course with her father, which is a dramatic conflict everyone saw coming, and yet we’re still dreading it. Whew. Cannot wait for next week.
Just like Vinland Saga couldn't win an award, this anime might not win one either. However, even if it did, no one who watched this masterpiece would complain. Of course, what's more important than winning an award is the emotional impact this work has had on its viewers. That impact will undoubtedly be passed down to many people.
Well at least this won a Tezuka award and the creator is the youngest mangaka to receive this award.
Please, can anybody praise the quality of the animation? Some scenes are just beautiful and convey the sense of Hope and Wonder at the universe, while others are brutal, gory, and hold no punches, but ALL of them are on point
This is such a marvelously written story - and part of the reason is, because the stakes are so high for all the characters... there is no way to "make them alive again", no fantasy plot, no magic device, no deus ex machina... they put their lives at stake for pursuing something of meaning during a brutal time. Even the violence is not misplaced or " for shock value". Everything - all the information- is perfectly flowing and falling into place, as the story is progressing.
First🎉 What an incredible episode, hard to watch, but I loved how our protagonists supported each other until the end.
It's sad that at the end of their life, they're unable to look above to enjoy the sky that they love 😢
I love Novak's arc. They flesh out the angles of the main antagonist from the very beginning, which is rare in stories with multiple dying protagonists and one antagonist. Typically the antagonist goes through their arc at the beginning or end. Although, I'm not sure, maybe Novak won't be with us until the end of the story either
this anime is ruthless, I haye it, But I love it. Ugh
Dude nobody survives on Orb.. only the idea survivez...
i did give a check in the manga, and the torture scene is worse as hell in the manga! I can't wait the next ep
Not a particularly happy trivia note but they had to censor the pear scene really heavily, in the manga we see up close his jaw getting ripped open.
Which itself doesn't make much sense because the mouth with all the fat under the skin, doesn't break like a piece of cardboard
if they switch the op next week like they did with rafal n oczy would be hilarious
Maybe they will have a brand new op
next week no, in episode 16 100%
