    When I qualify the rest of the way as a midwife here in the US and manage to be able to bill insurance for my privileged self and my clientele, I am committing to sending these hospitals without resources money, supplies, medications, and proper equipment. Just basic equipment like an autoclave, soap, meds, etc can help them so much. Midwives in the US make enough money to be just fine with. I am willing to share as much as I can with other midwives around the world in the hopes of helping women and babies everywhere. If more people cared about moms and babies, this wouldn’t be happening. There is no excuse in this day and age.

    Being a mother of 3,grandmother of 2..It is so heartbreaking seeing what these poor women have to endure during a time that is supposed to be sacred and beautiful...When my children and grandchildren were born we had good private insurance and we got the 5 star treatment, my Dr. even sent me flowers and a fruit basket!! Yet these poor women can't even get the bare minimum of basics! Not even clean water to drink!! Something has hot to be done for these women,😢 it has to get better for them ,because it certainly couldn't be much worse!!! Im praying for you ladies...God bless you

      God!... If I were rich I would go there regularly and provide them with everything they need to treat the women at local clinics (medical equipment, drugs, etc.!) and to train midwives that could travel in secluded areas!...
      I would arrive there with TRUCK LOADS of medical necessities to save these women and their babies!...
      Heck! I would buy these midwives cars!...
      Even in 2009, this was not acceptable for women to die while giving birth!...

      She's trying to sooth the baby. Its obviously hungry and in need of comfort. And if the grandmother does have milk likely not a lot of it. :( my baby nurses for comfort all the time. She never took a pacifier/dummy so she just nurses or sucks her thumb for comfort.

    I don't get it… Women in these countries don't work outside the home and their field… They stay at home to have children and to raise them so of course they don't have the money!...
    My question is WHERE are the husbands that are supposed to be the providers?!... WHERE are the in laws that married these women to their sons so she can produce grandsons?!…
    How can you look the women, the young girls' parents in the eyes and tell them "your daughter died because we would not pay for normal, basic maternity care, we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best"?!...
    At 10:46, the forgot or intentionally left out, the fact that some are not even "women" but young girls, teenagers whose body is not ready to carry out a pregnancy and a delivery...
    At 13:36, FINALLY some commun sense!... A community mutuel help fund to help women get maternity care!... If everybody in the community provides just a few pennies it can go a long way and save lives!...

      That circumsision on women is evil. They should castrate a few men and see how they like it....if it's good for the goose it's good for the gander. Why did that woman twist that babies head after nursing it. You could see that it caused the child pain. Some people should not be parents at all.

    • @gabriellavictory3080

      What are the exact medical causes of the women dying in childbirth? All I can gather is it's because they're poor. What's going on here? Why are they having severe hemorrhaging after childbirth? Is the placenta allowed to be delivered on it's own? Are they massaging the fundus to help it contract, especially after multiple births?

    the British people have to do alot more to help the people in their Commonwealth countries. they have to build big modern hospital and provide transportation for women to get to these hospital. teach them about birth control. in the states they give shots that are birth control. instead of pills. they last longer. when they are nice pregnant they need to go to modern hospitals. I like the royal family but I think they can do alot more. and also they need free public schools for every child up to age 16. maybe Megan and Harry can bring these people into the 21st century.🙏💙

    I'm an American and I say we need to STAND UP AND HELP OUR SISTERS in these poor countries. They are dying while doing the most miraculous amazing thing.. bringing LIFE into the world.. how tragic.
    this is not just inafrica, but in many countries across the world. they should not be dying at childbirth for conditions that are easily treated had they been blessed to be living in USA.
    how can we help them?

    Just don't have sex. that will fix so many of your problems. Relax, what I want to say is that these people should have safe sex and create a safe environment for everyone first in their community by creating new facilities and then reproduce. That will surely lower a lot of psychological and physiological pain these communities are going through. Also, let's stop treating these people like third world and start allowing them to make better decision for themselves. Give them the tools and let them learn what is good for them.

      itsma name So how is the human race going to be continued?

    • @itsmaname3384
      @itsmaname3384 9 лет назад

      dancerlove30 Okay maybe vitro fertilisation can be of a help here but as we know not everyone can afford such a service. Moreover, In the present, Earth is already over populated so at this point we need to lower our fertility rate in the developing country considerably before we have major food and water crises. Look I will stop being a jerk now but the obvious answer here is that people in these particular and similar situation where they do not have adequate access to health services need to be educated and have knowledge on how to have safe sex. To put it simply, use a condom, take a birth control pill or just use a different type of contraception. However, due to social and religious norms some people voluntarily won't have safe sex or just won't have access to contraception because the place where live at is highly isolated. So, in order to save lives just stop having sex till you have 1) adequate protection (Medication, health services or in a safe environment 2) reliable contraception 3) the want to have children 4) a safe place in life 5) a comprehensive understanding about WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO YOURSELF, LIFE THAT YOU WILL BE BRINGING IN THE WORLD AND YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER. Think of me what you like but if having sex was going to put the lives at grave risk cause of the health services around me where understaffed, under equipped and largely under funded then I am not doing it.

    • @itsmaname3384
      @itsmaname3384 9 лет назад

      ***** 1) When the fuck did I insist, imply or say that a women should sell her body so she could food on the table. How disturbed are you?. STOP YOUR FEMINAZISM and stop imposing your opinions on others cause you feel validated somehow within yourself. That is plain stupid. To me no women should ever have to sell her body to feed herself or her family. She should be an educated individual and have some dignity and respect. If she is poor then at least she should have the courage to live her life the way she can even with the limited resources she has.
      2) I said do not have sex because if having sex in an area where hospital was miles away from where you live, under funded, understaffed or overpopulated by sick people cause they weren't receiving adequate medical attention then I rather wanna do something about that problem first and later on have children. Hence, I meant improve your living conditions first and then decide to have sex or children.
      3) You asked "So you want to take the joy of motherhood away from these women?" No. There are many ways women can feel the joys of motherhood by actually adopting a child. Yes, people can adopt now and yes women do that cause some of them actually can't have children (unfortunately). Giving a birth is not the only way a women can achieve the status of a mother she can also adopt and look after her child and she would still be considered a mother.
      4) You said "Can't you see how poor they are?" Yes, I do have a conciousness and eyes that allows me to understand how horrible there living condition is. Unfortunately our world is not a utopia. These women and the rest of the society is living in some of the most worst living condition women and the rest of the human society has to live in. I feel rumours and great deal of sorrow for them. I hope there government can find a way to fix this situation as soon as possible cause this extremely horrible situation.

    These women know the risks they are facing when they get pregnant,why keep getting pregnant knowing the horrible situation they will be in and the circumstances they are in? Why not wait till things improve and they are in a better situation to bring a helpless baby into the world ? Contraception should be considered for these women till funding is available,the women know they could lose their lives giving birth yet still continue to have intercourse and get pregnant knowing this,and they know their child will be born into poverty and illness,it dosent make sense,I'm sure contraception could be funded until things get better and funding is available for health care etc so women don't lose their lives during pregnancy and during or after giving birth

    • @CheerAngelLeShea
      @CheerAngelLeShea Год назад +1

      I think your idea is great but the problem is funding. War is expensive, and contraceptives such as an IUD can cost even a woman in the U.S. up to $500 and that bec of a labor involved. You need qualified nurses and OBGYNs to insert the IUD and that is what costs a lot of money. So now the price becomes even higher. BC pills month to month is a monthly payment most people can’t afford. In this video they said healthcare for pregnancy is « supposed » to be free but it’s not bec surprise surprise healthcare is not free. Even if the government is paying for it they still use your taxes for funding so it is not free in the slightest.

    Actually, although FGM can lead to childbirth complications, uncircumcised women also have trouble giving birth. It has more to do with the shape of the pelvis. African women typically have a square, male shaped pelvis, and that reduces the opening. It's complicated.
