- The 2025 Mazda CX-70 is two months away from arriving at dealerships. We have photos of a CX-70 Turbo S Premium Plus in Melting Copper that is visiting dealerships.
The Turbo S Premium Plus is standard with the Tan Quilted Nappa leather with suede inserts. The body cladding and wheel arches are painted body color.

I'm sure there will be a lot of buyers that will appreciate the CX 70 as is, but personally I'm disappointed that it wasn't made somewhat smaller.
Agreed. I love the styling of the CX90, but it is too large for my needs, so when I saw the CX70 I was excited...and then disappointed that it was the same size...just too big for me.
Still cant believe Mazda had us excited for CX-70 for over two years... and it ended up just being a CX-90.
They need to put some “ornaments” on it, so CX-70 owners will not try to open somebody’s CX-90.

It is nice but the size and some of the cosmetics really make me wonder if anyone in the Kodo design team speaks to any American consumers about what we want!
Have to agree, CX70 has missed the mark for me too. Looks great, but as an owner of CX5 I was hoping a size between the CX5 and CX9/90 would be the goal. Why not bring g in the CX60 to North America? The CX60 makes it a choice between the 5 to the 90. A new CX5, slightly larger in width and length would get my attention, but for now I stick with my CX5. And the price point of the CX70 seems completely out of whack! Less seats, same vehicle otherwise as the CX90 and price went up! Mazda getting a little above itself I fear.
As a former 6 owner & a current CX9 owner I just can’t get excited over the 90 or 70.. The 90 has lots of redesign issues & I see many already traded in with a few thousand miles. A new powertrain & mild hybrid will be plagued with issues for 2-3 yrs like all new models.
There's nothing new about the inline 6. Mazda engineering and manufacturing is second to none.
In reality of my CX90 PHEV ownership there were few issues and most of them were addressed during regular oil change. CX9 was nice for its time but cx-90 is better overall.

Mazda missed the mark. The CX 70 should have been a few inches shorter and a few thousand dollars cheaper than a CX 90. Fold the rear seat down of a 90 if you need extra cargo room. No incentive to buy a 70.

Some people want some power in a 2row suv. Lots of new 2rows are coming out with 4 cylinders.
There will be buyers of this "new model", but I personally wanted something like the CX-60 (but a bit bigger) that is functionally sportier than the CX-90 and not just cosmetically sportier like this model. I really wish I knew what went on behind the scenes when they green lit this. Because Mazda likes to do "less with less," I get the sense the CX-5 update will look similar to the CX-60.
nah the cx5 is their most sold car, a cx60 redesign will tank sales for the cx70 & 90

Would love to see the Mazda 6 in North America. I have owned 2 Mazda 6 and 3 CX 5 . Currently driving 2017Mazda 6 Signature and a 2023 Mazda CX 5 Signature.

I just ordered the red turbo s premium plus with Ambiance, Premier Tow, Digital Rearview Mirror and Body Color splash Guards, front and rear.
5-9-2024 Got my VIN, Window sticker. On the water now. Could not get 3 person seating in second row in the CX90 top trim. I am only loosing 1 person seating from my 2020 CX9 signature and gain a lot of cargo space

Taking the cx70/90 superior build and interior appointments over Hyundai and kia's Palisade/telluride.
It’s interesting that Mazda is investing so much into these colors. Lexus came out with a similar color with the latest RX350. I have seen a whopping one, so far, out where I live in the northeast. But I have seen a ton of dark blue, dark green, dark grey, etc. The types of colors offered by companies that have been in the luxury segment from inception suggest that people with that kind of money to spend aren’t looking for bronze or copper or whatever else Mazda offers these days.

Yes agree with what you say about the rear. Thinking for the price the MDX type S still wins but we will see once someone compares them each other.
Hopefully made in Japan because the units from the US are crap rattle cans.... Expected when they are assembled by drunk, and high DEI employees.

The CX 70 has a sportier look.Dealers in my area have them on the lot already. The green and the flat gray are really nice.
