Raylen knows that his purpose in life is to care for kittens, so it's understandable he would gets mopey.
Still I love that he knows how to care for them and teach them what they need to know.

Raylan is a super hero.
Raylan is so sweet towards the baby kitties! Ever thought of getting him a permanent kitty brother/sister? That way he won't feel so gloomy when any future foster kitties have been adopted out.
I’ve followed their instagram for a few years now. He does enjoy alone time too. As he’s gotten older there are times when he needs breaks for his own medical needs.
Fostering works because he really enjoys kittens. He likes winning them over and gaining their trust. Same with older cats, but kittens really are his favourite. Getting “his own” cat would mean no more continuous kittens. Also, far less solo time.
Plus fewer kittens and cats would be helped, and the number of well socialized kittens/cats that can be adopted into homes with dogs would lessen too.
It’s important to consider all angles and what works best for Raylan and his human (and the many kitties lucky to be helped by them).
Raylan is Justified in his love for kittens. They are great and so is he.
This gives me life. He provided a calming presence and they reciprocated by giving him service work. How can this not heal your soul? Animals just get it about the important things in life.
RAYLAN, with his beautiful frosted face, takes his role of surrogate Papa to a foursome of sight-impaired kittens very seriously with his calm, loving and nurturing canine way. Seriously, is there anyone who didn't watch this video with a smile and maybe a little mist in the eye? Just beautiful!
We humans have so much to learn from animals. Kudos to the human foster Mom also . . . she's amazing!
If it was me, and I saw how happy my dog was with the cats and how happy the cats was I would had kept a least two of them, because they might not say it caz they can’t but you can clearly see he was not the same, 😮
