I just watched you lasted vid for Preston and loved it i really I enjoyed your natural venue live matches when are they coming back?????? I recently qualified for the canal pairs just wondering if you had any information on the final venue it's the grand union Northampton between Yardley and Stoke Bruerne I've never been there before hoping to get up there for a practice shortly Thanks Gareth
Hi Dave I am thinking of going holdings pool open match next week. I have never fished it. What would be the best way to to fish it please. And what depth rigs would I need. Thanks john
Hi John, rig depth depends on which pool you are on as Oak and Beech pools are quite shallow compared to the bigger pools. If you make rigs long enough to fish upto 7ft, you should be covered. As for baits, I've always done well with maggots. Pellets can be good and corn also. Look to target the shelf area at around 5-6 metres out as this can be a really good area at some point during the session.
