What kind of CPO are you? If I may ask, I’m a Seabee Chief Retired, CEC. I plan to build a UDS with a Weber top like yours it’s outstanding, great job! You have provided good ideas, thank you.
Awesome DIY project ... I have watched all the series of your build and I can't wait to see your finished uds ... And maybe the will be some future smoking coming our way love thanks for sharing...
Besides painting it, yes it's finished. I haven't been able to come up with a paint scheme that I like so I just left it grey...lol. I love smoking on it and do all the time. Haven't really made any changes to it since making this last video.
Sorry. I hope to come up with a scheme and do a video it'll probably be a decent length video since the UDS needs some major cleaning and prep work in order to paint it. It would be a good video to do. Just need the time and that's been hard to come by being back on sea duty again.
@@OldGoatWorkshop OLD GOAT. nice smoker brother. im building one myself and you can find my plans on texas bbq forum. can u please make part 8 ! AS IF its still grey . can i recommend go buying some rustoleum 1200f flat black paint and paint the whole drum and lid. i used flat black rustoleum paint on my smoker lid and it actually looks close to the original weber paint if you give it a few coats.
hey chad. how about putting a spring style , adjustable metal clamp on the front of the lid the keep it air tight. just thinking mods and welding. but if your smoker doesn't need then dismiss this comment.
Great series. Very thorough. Thanks.
Nice job! That profiler is pretty neat!
This is a fantastic job. I'm planning to build mine just like yours.
