Heyy!! Thank you for the video it helped me a lot! I am applying to colleges through common app and I don't know if I should talk with the coaches about scholarships after or before being accepted, what would you recommend ?

Thank you so much! The video is so informative! What if I don't want a scholarship but I want to pay the fees myself... I'm from Nigeria, I want to play college NCAA basketball and apply for the NBA draft when the time is right. Can I still join the college team if I want to pay for tuition? I'm currently able to pay for tuition...thanks for your video! Anticipating your reply 🙏🏾

P.s I'm really good in basketball so making videos of myself doing spins and windmills won't be a problem..I'm I'll be turning 23 by April tho...am I too late?

That’s pretty awesome! I’d say to still contact the coaches from the schools you are interested in applying and let them know you are interested. If you have videos of full games you felt good about then I’d also suggest sending that to them. Id recommend getting admitted to the schools you want first and once you are there do a tryout w the team since You can only be on the team if the coach recruits you. But it sounds like your level is good so I think that’d be a good strategy! keep up the awesome work. Good luck!!!🍀

@@MelissaReyes11 Thanks Melissa and just one thing more. I am studying at the University level but I'm junior 20 years old and have done half of my bachelor's degree in BS English literature/linguistics 2 years are remaining for my graduation. So, should I apply now or should wait till my graduation? And if I apply from now then which association(NCAA, NIA, NjCC) would be the best for me and if after my graduation I apply then which association should I target?

Helooo, pleasure my name is Carlos !! I'm Brazilian, I'm 18 years old and I'm a beginner in Men's Volleyball (I've never participated in championships), and I'm VERY interested and a giant LOVE for Volleyball, but I'm in my senior year at the moment, I feel I'm LATE compared to players who have played since childhood :(.
My dream is to play Volleyball in the USA, and for that I have to go through several processes and such. What are the chances and tips you would give an International Athlete to get a Sports Scholarship (I don't have a very good financial condition ...) and the only thing you have is PURE PASSION and a lot of WILL to be a player ??

Hi! To be honest if your English is good you already ahead!! I recommend studying hard for the admission tests (SAT) to get the highest score possible and keep training hard. Because you don’t have experience on the sport it might be harder to get an athletic scholarship right away but you could try out once you get admitted into the school. So I’d recommend trying hard to get an academic scholarship for a DIII or DII school to help financially and then try to get into the team once there. Keep working hard!!! And good luck!!!🍀
