It's Valentine's Day!

Went to Appleby in Westmorland with my husband and daughter, she has had better days. There was a young couple with a service dog, and they were chilling in the pub where we retreated to for a late lunch. A long journey down from Cumbria to West Yorkshire and as soon as we got home I rang the police because of seeing a man on a road in my town leading a woman by the armpit, relationship or trafficking I couldn't tell but it looked coercive. But I couldn't use my phone in the car and risk upsetting my daughter. They probably went in a house, it's a residential area. But the police thanked me for reporting it. So three different sets ofpeople with different valentines day experiences. The young couple's the happiest (they looked about 17) but chilling in the pub drinking coke might not match the glamour narratives of valentines day.
I have not done it this year yet but traditionally I would always post a "thinking about people who find today difficult for any of variety of reasons, I hope everyone gets the best out of it for them, love to everyone" sort of post that I also have done on mother's day, father's day, and for the Christmas and New Year period. This is that sort of post. With a broader consideration.
