Aint no backing tracks or lip syncing, they really singing!
Absolutely! Nothing greatness out of Cleveland!!!
I said the same thing! They all sing straight from the hearts and souls of their bodies. I loved it
Soul live Real
@@Mariahslays137 and my background sang lol
@@AJ-jk6ui thanks for the good music that Dayton Canton and Cleveland gave us thanks Ohio.
They sang the hell out of this! When Gerald came out I got chills! Man, I miss his voice! Thank you for posting this!
I greatly miss Gerald's voice also. Joe has that Levert sound and no one can hit a note like Buddy. I miss the 90s in Cleveland. Great times.🔥🔥
🧸 ❤️ Gerald🙌🏽
Where? They oversang the song. It wasn’t necessary
@@yusefrose1975 Ok
I miss me some Gerald too.
Asking for prayers for our family over the passing of my cousin Buddy in the group.
So sorry for your loss. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
My condolences to you and the Banks' family. Looking forward to the Memorial.
🙏🏽💙🙏🏽
Noooooo 😭😭😭😭😭
Omg I had no idea I had to play this to my kids they dont know nuthin about this . That boy could sang all the kids use to try to sang like him including me. Much Luv man that hurts. So sorry. A whole Treasure!!!🥰🥰
Buddy in the yellow is a whole vibe!!
YESSSSSSSSSSS
100
Fine too lol 😂
2 whole vibes with that Soprano voice and nothing but Sexiness with that tailored suit fitted to perfection on that lil waist and dressed in all Tan from head to toe
Yeah, he jumped off the screen RIP✊🏿🙏🏿
The older lady in the front of the audience drove me crazy with all her antics. She was there every week. The good ole days.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
People say leave the past in the past but I really miss these days...these years! I cannot stand today's world. I won't ever let go of these years❤
Me too
When the sanging was 1000 times better than 99% of the stuff out now
Exactly!!!!
Sang Buddy!!! You are missed. RIP Buddy, Gerald and Larry. 🙏
Are they all dead?😒
@@nicolebutler2860 Yes
Aids got em?
@@bigzach7778 , no. Stop it.
@@AJ-jk6ui hush 🐒
They dont make music like this anymore and Never will again!!!!!!!
this was real singing with no lip sync nor auto tune
It it me or did the whole group take it to another level as soon Gerald came out. Like they stepped it up to stay on Gerald’s level! RIP to all of the great that we lost xoxo
Yep!!!
Hell yeah, when Gerald Levert, it's like the RBoyzs, fed off his gritty and got busy. Miss that boyzs soul.
Yep! I was underwhelmed until Gerald Levert RIP showed them how it’s supposed to go.
How Gerald stepped in and now only delivered a solid verse he got the group to step it up and put more soul into the song that made it that much better. Artist don't do this anymore! We need artist like them to come back and show them how it's done
Guys don't have Gerald type voices anymore
@@cocopuff6810 that is very true. If they do have it they are an unknown singer at the moment
I honestly think with this new generation they wouldn't be able to appreciate voices like Barry, TP, Gerald. This was one of my favorite songs back in the day. So many memories
He was the king of Soul. He just never gets the credit for it. No one could match his power on stage besides he father.
@@cocopuff6810 well the new generation thinks todays rapping and singing is good when its terrible so your right. The taste in good music is a dying trend it seems
Every man here killed it. They killed it even before G came in.
Yes however I think Gerald bought out the best in them
Back when brothers used to sang their asses off!!! Damn I miss the days when singing groups were cool.
When Gerald say they're going to the bridge.... They went to the bridge & crossed!!!! My Lord!
They killed it!! I love them So underrated! R.I.P. Gerald, Larry & Buddy!
That guy Gerald can make a song go #1 regardless
Yes! Gerald brought the gospel to everything he sang. He had a gift 🎁
Buddy had great range
RIH to my cousin Buddy. Please keep our family in prayer as he is laid to rest this weekend.
@@direland8484 oh my God no! I didn't know he passed! I'm so sorry! When did he pass?
Rest in Heaven Buddy.
@@direland8484 condolences
@@direland8484 NOOOOOO! Allah have mercy!!! He was such a great vocalist with a beautiful distinctive sound and what a range! He was absolutely one of my favorites! Sorry for your lost! Still a hit in 2023♥️
Yes!
And 2024!! It’s timeless music!!
Eva is FEELIN UP some Gerald!!😂🤣💖🔥🎶 She was ALWAYS up front and center!!
When I was working in the business, I had the pleasure of meeting Gerald and Joe Little (lead singer of the Rude Boys) at their recording studio in Cleveland, Ohio. As we were pulling up, Sean, and Mark we’re pulling away in a Range Rover, but Gerald and Joe stayed behind. It was surreal because Gerald walked up to me, stuck his hand out and said, “Gerald.” I have met several big named entertainers but Gerald was most memorable. Rest In Peace, fam!
I love hearing that. I have met Many famous people and most of them were fabulous. I stood and talked to Johnny Guitar Watson for an hour at a record store in 1994. Very down to earth and as cool as an iceberg. Roger Troutman was another. However, I can think of two that I wish that I had never crossed paths with. One was the so called greatest bluemans and the other ran track with gold shoes. Both were extreme aholes.
Joe Little was mad underrated! That dude can sang
Facts!
They tore that ---up.
I heard a little bit of that ole chuch choir in some of them notes!! LOL Great Music
Absolutely, Buddy was a PK!
thats the foundation of r&b soul music
@@AJ-jk6ui I could tell lol I always thought so 😂.
@@AJ-jk6ui that's real sanging (singing ) then from the heart ❤ lol.

🤣 Gerald knew what he was doing walking up to the lady in the front row. Me and my sisters always cracked up because it's like that woman had a permanent front seat every night.
Wonder what happened to her??
@@larhondaburchett3271 good question! It would be nice to find out who she is because she was at every show lol.

Miss my Gerald Levert!! RIHP King!
The SOUUUL that's in this song. I listen to this song almost EVERYDAY❤
Back when we use to express our love IN PUBLIC. What Happened Yall? 😶
Jan 91 Ft Jackson basic training will always remind me of this jam. Once the drill Sgts found out, I knew about music being a DJ as they were all black guys who I looked to as mentors changed things for me in basic. I think they were shocked that a young white kid even knew this song. Yes, I still have this on wax. I am turning 54 and still love this jam like I did in 91.
RIP 🌹 Gerald Levert & Buddy 🌹
@Alissa , three of them have died. Gerald in Nov 2006, Bingo in October 2016 and thee, Buddy Banks on earlier this month.😢 🙏

People that weren’t born in this era is truly missing out on real music, and real love. This 2023 2024 is of nonsense and don’t respect anyone.
Whew! Brought tears to my eyes...I miss those days❤️
Though brothers are singing this song, I love it...
THE LATE GREAT GERALD LEVERT WAS THE ONLY ARTIST TO HAVE 3 NUMBER 1 ON BILLBOARD IN THE HISTORY OF MUSIC IN THE SAME YEAR 1991(1) WITH THE RUDE BOYS 'WRITTEN ALL OVER YOUR FACE', (1)WITH LEVERT 'BABY I'M READY' AND (1) 'BABY HOLD ON TO ME'....R.I.P GERALD LEVERT, LARRY MARCUS & BUDDY BANKS.
