We gotta give kubo some respect this dude never misses with his designs he’s had like 20 forms for aizen this arc and their all heat 😂 and don’t even get me started on ichigos forms 😫
Aizen’s plan was to get ichigo to his limit(bc ichigo has the highest potential in the series) and evolve the hogyoku to become a transcendent being like the soul king. Aizen kinda planned ichigo to beat him because he never used techniques like ks or bankai so that he will be able to allow ichigo to push him to further heights
@LzNBR42 or because he was in no threat of dying. We know that ichigo was the only person who could pose a threat to aizen so far, so if there is only 1 man and he on top of that cant even kill you why would you use your strongest technique. 1 of 3 things, his bankai is shit, he doesnt have one or ichigo wasnt a bankai level threat
@LzNBR42 We do know why, i'm pretty sure it's been mentioned (not in the series) that Aizen's bankai only works one someone that has seen his release, so it wouldn't have worked against Ichigo either way.
@LzNBR42 in an cant fear your own world english translation it was stated that aizen’s bankai is closely tied to his shikai which means you need to be under ks for him to use bankai

His Hollow form was his soul reaper form as explained by zangetsu in the last couple of episodes so if he loses his powers he also loses his hollow powers
I'm glad they like Aizen Usually by the end of the Deicide arc a lot of people disliked Aizen. Also it's good they overall loved the whole arranacar saga Imagining in 20,000 years central 46 being like "ok Aizen you're free to go"
to be fair though... His experimentation over the years before he was a captain and such isn't entirely revealed. Though as far as what was shown goes, he definitely could've done worse...

Dont get me wrong Mayuri is also a devil but aizen was on some other shit
Rob has a point about Soul Society being trash. Especially with the New Breaths from Hell arc being announced, like WTF Soul Society?! They let shinigami get away with literal murder--Maiyuri's legit psychopath, and Aizen's no better.
'Nothing can be explained' ost which is also Zangetsu's theme is one of Bleach's goated soundtracks, it hits different this scene. I wish it played more in the series. Hands down the best Ichigo transformation, one of the hypest anime moments. 'Stand up be strong' ost embodies the scene perfectly 🔥 Mugetsu means 'Moonless Sky' which represents the darkness of Ichigo's technique. Only thing I wished this fight lasted a little longer. It ended a bit too quick for me but regardless I still love this fight.
Like Ichigo said, the sadness he felt on aizens blade. Aizen literally made Ichigo who he is, so he can eventually beat him. Aizens existence is lonely because of how powerful he is. He basically just wanted someone at his level. Ichigo (and maybe kisuke) are the only ones who understand that.
Evan picked a predictable star in Kisuke so it’s not as impressive to me as his Usopp pick, but he did back the right horse and took a w while his more experienced peers didn’t (as much). Funny to see him turn up when kisuke comes in clutch at the end. Good convo at end
@@arcaneshadow1275 Not really, as great as Kisuke is no one predicted that he would show up after Aizen was defeated to seal him esp. the first time watching bleach, at least I didn't so he wasn't that predictable, not to mention the other guys(esp. wellz) trolled him a lot when kisuke lost to aizen before, so this was definately a W for evan, the others just being salty bout it😅
Mugetsu means "moonless sky" Ironic because during and after the technique, ichigo darkens the sky with his power and makes it cloudy.... but also zengetsu means "slaying moon", who is apart oc ichigo...and ichigo became getsuga, which means "moon fang"... so when the "moon slayer" becomes the "moon fang", you have a "moonless sky"
i never got why Momo was still alive. after this she doesn't do anything at all for the next arc or the final arc. if Gin had to die, why couldn't momo
@S M That is very pathetic being alive for the development of Toshiro lol. Hopefully, Kubo actually does something with her character instead of being a damsel.
Yup my biggest gripe with Kubo is that he didn't get courage to kill any of the side characters of the "good guys". Momo should have been dead at least two times.
The next arc is more character focused. I know y’all love the action of Bleach, but just give this one a shot. Once the last arc gets animated, this upcoming arc will prove to be a much needed lapse between all the fights. Cuz the last arc goes off the chain. But this arc coming up is dope, hope y’all enjoy it.
I can understand their opinions on the Espada as a whole, but it's hard for me to think the same way bc they served a much different purpose for the series than the Akatsuki, which is why I don't even compare them, and the context of just how strong Aizen is compared to the Espada and soul society BEFORE his transformations, what arrancars are as a higher form of hollows, prevents the same form of storytelling for these characters than those in other series
@@djmeagaaim17 Arrancar and Hollows are all about the nihilistic approach that they make on the story, they are beings who are tormented by their previous life. You wont get much worth from that.
I feel like *Aizen is really Kisuke if he was evil.* Aizen highly respected Kisuke because of his intellect, the fact that he created a perfect Hogyoku, something Aizen tried and failed to do. But he *absolutely despised* Kisuke seemingly for the simple reason that a man of his intellect is allowing "THAT THING" (Soul King) to rule over him. As though Aizen would be content with someone like Kisuke in power as long as he isnt inferior like whatever "that thing"
Ichigo made Aizen think that he will never achieve a higher state so Aizen lost his will power and Hogokiyu if you dont have the will it can't manifest it this is why Aizen lost
That doesnt make any sense though, him realising that Ichigo is on a higher plane of existense WOULD make him outraged and therefore want to evolve past that. Thing is that moment made Aizen thoughts about being defeated by him pop up more frequently in his very being and of course the Hogyoku sees this and grants him this wish and debuffs him back to a Soul Reaper form.
Ichigo sensed loneliness from Aizen's sword. Apparently Aizen felt lonely cuz he was stronger than everyone, and thus decided fk it, I wanna get to the very top of the top no matter what (but not sure about why he had beef with the Soul King). Ultimately when he sees how strong Ichigo became, he subconsciously lost the desire to gain further heights in power, he could already see someone who surpassed him. So the hogyoku granted his desires. Otherwise Aizen should've eventually evolved to something stronger than Ichigo even after that Mugetsu attack.
*was. This one wasn't earned or useful and is quickly thrown in the trash. Plot and meaning do not exist by this point in bleach. By tybw it's just...pure silliness. How is wellz the “anime king”. I’ve been keeping up with there bleach reactions and he never knows wtf he’s talking about lmao. His knowledge is based off basic nostalgic anime from his childhood like DBZ and naruto😭
The coolest transformation in the anime for me, literally symbolizing a soul reaper. Also Urahara playing 4d chess with Aizen 2 steps ahead. Love to see it
@@danieledesantis988 the best arc already happened. TYBW is like the 3rd best arc lol it's all over the place just for the sake of fan service, makes more plot holes than it fills. It forces the story to progress because Kubo was writing himself into a hole leading to a decrease in sales leading to a terrible finish.
When you guys were talking about how a lot of the espada or other characters didn’t have enough depth or the like, I think that’s one because a lot of it is hidden in symbolism and dialogue instead of things like flashbacks and real background on the character like how naruto does like say itachi. Two it’s also because it’s the anime so some stuff is gonna be left out from the manga so some of that stuff is in the manga
Wellz is spot on with saying SS is better than the Arancar arc, but then do agree with Pat that the Uqiorra fight is probably the most hype fight in the series. The writing however was a lot stronger in the first major arc, as this one had so much filler (not even referring to actual filler, just pointless fights) that it lost its pacing completely. Bleach is very much a style over substance type of shounen, but the SS arc genuinely had a lot of good writing in it that kept it engaging. Just a shame it couldn't carry on for the rest of the show
TYBW is the only other arc that does this IMO. It had such a strong start and even middle. Its a shame external factors prevented it from closing the arc well, I hope new anime fixes that.
This is mainly an anime only thing lmao. Arrancar was solid in the manga. I agree more with Evan as he brought better points anime just needed better pacing which I don’t blame anyone if they say it put them off
Bleach has a very subtle story, I don't agree on the style over substance because to me that says weird and wacky art-style with minimal story. I agree that Soul Society was the best arc but minimizing the whole series because this arc wasn't as good as one of the first arcs is insane to me. The story is still really good, it's just a shame that it took the author so long to make it less subtle imo. Obviously the show leaves some things to be desired but everything makes sense now that I've experienced the full story.
@@basement_dweller39 Idk there really isn't much there thematically to dig your teeth into. Stuff like HxH or OnePiece leaves it behind in the dust in comparison, as the majority of the writing in Bleach is extremely surface level. It's not "weird and whacky" art it's some of the best character designs and asthetics of its contemporaries. The transformations are mostly fire and the OST is absolutely incredible. That being said, the character writing after the first arc is extremely lacking in all but a few characters. Bleach isn't terrible by any stretch, but it's a 7/10 series at a push imo, pushed to the heights it reached due to a strongfirst arc with phenomenal asthetics.
Well considering that continuation that got published last week shows who lived and who died and a certain hat and clogs enthusiast is not done yet. He's still a Goat
This is why characters are so important in story telling. It doesnt matter how epic the scenes get, the characters are what invest you and what drive the story. When a show doesnt develop its characters, you lose a lot of potential.
@@djmeagaaim17 I found the arrancar arc to be bleach's weakest cannon arc so far. In terms of story its identical to soul society, with different characters and location. The espada lack development. I dont know their motives, or desires. We only get a little bit on ulquiorra towards the end. He was searching for a heart. Again we get nothing out of aizen, until the last moments. Its ok to have a mysterious villain but at some point you need to start exploring his character.
a lot pof peopel don't understand mugetsu, it is a one use attack that does infinite damage, it erases what it touches body and soul, regardless of defences, aizen only survived because of the infinite regen of the hogyoku to match the mugetsu's destruction
I like that Urahara and Aizen are the only two who know about soul king and his state, while Urahara is fine with it, Aizen is pissed that so called God is just existing and wants to take matter in his hands. His clash with Yhwach is great
Aizen completed what he wanted to do or at least 80 percent of it. he was able to ascend higher than a soul reaper and a hollow and fuse his zanpakto with himself, pushing the hogyaku to exceed the limitations, becoming immortal/God and his experiment actually rivalled his power and surpassed his power. He's a scientist, so even if he's disappointed and triggered about Ichigo, the only person to surpass him was his own experiment and he can at least say all the time that "I created you". Only thing he didn't accomplish was getting the Oken for the soul palace and dealing with the soul king (Imagine Aizen now vs Ichibe)
Well i wouldn't say he did nothing wrong, if he didn't ruin the lives of dozens of people and sacrifice the souls of people to the hogyoku he probably could have been a anti hero
@@dominickdixson5523 Agreed. I think Madara leans more on the antihero side than Aizen does. Madara wanted to help people escape reality for their own sake; to help end suffering by putting them all to sleep. The hougukyou neglected Aizen because he doubted himself after seeing ichigo's final Getsuga. @@OriginalHotBoy Damn calling me a child, why are you so mad for being wrong? Aizen did doubt himself for a moment because the final getsuga tenshou made him realize that ichigo was indeed at a different level, aizen said it himself "can it be that he is even at a higher level than myself?", the hogukyo noticed that aizen doubted himself and stopped powering him up resulting in aizen to go back to his soul reaper form after being slashed in half. The hogyoku refused to power him up for a while giving that breach for the kidou to take effect on a weakened aizen. The last few minutes of episode 342 is technically the ending of the arrancars saga that wasn’t at the end of 310 but most of 342 is filler and goes into 343 the next arc
Kubo made bleach because people said he makes cool character designs. That alone tells you he isn't a writing specialist. Naruto's author actually made a couple stories before naruto, so it was more refined as a story.
The Espadas were cool with their designs and individual personalities, but I agree with Jerry that overall they fell short of being great villains. The fact that none of the captains died while fighting them was disappointing and kinda made them look more like fodder than a legit threat. Even though the Arrancar Arc had some great moments, I feel that Bleach peaked during the Soul Society Arc.
Just because someone doesn't kill a character it doesn't make them less threatening or legit. So Bleach peaked at the Soul Society, right? Yet not *a single* character died st the Soul Society. Ichigo went on a winning streak in the Soul Society, yet on the Arrancar Arc he took loss after loss, same for most of the main characters... I don't know where this narrative comes from, but how in the hell are the Espadas less convincing than the Captains? Jerry himself kept saying again and again "so how do we beat this guys?" when Nnoitra and Szayel just kept 1v4ing... If Soul Society is your favourite arc then that's cool, but saying that the Espadas are less convincing or great villains just because no one died is just... yeah.
@@youthinkso2695 I agree killing characters doesn’t make a good character but it would of been cool if the espada push some of the captains to their limt like the sternritters did but overall all I liked the espada as a group cause they all were great written characters

Aizen is strong asf, as you just seen one energy orb he let loose was a nuke bruh, fucked up the whole country side. @chewskiii in a battle, second release Ulquiorra beats stark. Kyoraku would not have been able to beat him, either. Stark may outrank him by reishi, which was how they were ranked, but Ulquiorra was stronger. And Yammy was full of reishi and physical power, the most powerful, but he was just a big strong punching bag: slow and technique-wise lacking.
@chewskiii stark doesn’t have a second release and aizen left ulquiorra in hurdle Mundo to develops ichigo use the cues in the story cmon bro. Watch clydes ulquiorra video
He right, the Espada were a massive disappointment. Aside Grimmjow's first fight, they basically had 0 wins and the fight between number 8 and uryu and Renji was agonizingly long. And then the top 3 just getting rekt by Aizen just for him to do what they failed to do. They became jokes
@chewskiii ah you right I forgot harribel was the only one slashed. Still 0 wins, they needed to feel threatening and besides Ulquiorra and arguably Aaroniero, they never felt like it I still love them tho, Ichigo vs Grimmjow is what got me into Bleach and anime in general back in the day
@Xbox One huh? Every akatsuki member had story Nd lore prior to even joking the organization. They all also took out high level shinobi and even kage. The espada have literally no feats, there hype is based on what the viewers perceived them to be. They got no w’s and only grim and uqi were 🔥. Pain, obito, itachi and kisame all were dope characters with a lot of screentime and development. Even lower akatsuki caught bodies or had way better fights than the espada
3:53 - That actually would’ve been a pretty awesome twist. And creepy as hell. What if the Hogyoku actually just did take control of Aizen to try to kill Ichigo, because it wanted to prove itself superior to him and thought Aizen wasn’t using it properly? And the parts where Aizen’s talking then would be the Hogyoku, which would help explain his voice distoring? That’d contribute to the part where Kisuke said that the Hogyoku turned against Aizen later.
The final attack Ichigo used on Aizen called ‘Mugetsu’ means “Moonless Sky” ⚫️ which very fitting considering what happens during that point. Almost forgot that for a fight that came out and was animated a decade ago, I gotta say this fight looks looks like it was just made today, if not better. We gotta give kubo some respect this dude never misses with his designs he’s had like 20 forms for aizen this arc and their all heat 😂 and don’t even get me started on ichigos forms 😫
Yeah
In a way Aizen beat himself. He kept Ichigo around to beat him. And he caused the hogyoku to depower him which led to Urahara sealing him.
@@arkyyvibin5317 Funny thing is Aizen wassn't even close to the soul king. Power wise he was a fart in the wind to him.

'Nothing can be explained' ost which is also Zangetsu's theme is one of Bleach's goated soundtracks, it hits different this scene. I wish it played more in the series. It ended a bit too quick for me but regardless I still love this fight.
Considering Kisuke's plan actively relied on someone else beating Aizen's ass, Kisuke definitely did not solo Aizen.
No one mentioned soloing him though. He just said he beat Aizen
Ok? Everyone agrees with that. The question is whether Kisuke should be considered the winner.

Evan picked a predictable star in Kisuke so it’s not as impressive to me as his Usopp pick, but he did back the right horse and took a w while his more experienced peers didn’t (as much). Funny to see him turn up when kisuke comes in clutch at the end. Good convo at end

Mugetsu means "moonless sky"
Ironic because during and after the technique, ichigo darkens the sky with his power and makes it cloudy.... but also zengetsu means "slaying moon", who is apart oc ichigo...and ichigo became getsuga, which means "moon fang"... so when the "moon slayer" becomes the "moon fang", you have a "moonless sky"

A fair point honestly

Naruto's author actually made a couple stories before naruto, so it was more refined as a story.
The Espadas were cool with their designs and individual personalities, but I agree with Jerry that overall they fell short of being great villains.

“Moonless Sky” ⚫️ which very fitting considering what happens during that point.
Almost forgot that for a fight that came out and was animated a decade ago, I gotta say this fight looks looks like it was just made today, if not better.
Arrancar Saga overarching episodes 110 - 310 for the longest time has remained the best arc of the Bleach anime as being the one that maintained it’s greatness as part of the Big3, which cemented itself with The Soul Society.
Now it’s time for the sexiest arc in all of Bleach. The Lost agent/Fullbringer arc!
This is why yall should've watched the regai arc. Ichigo and the gang had one last battle together before he officially lost his powers. The animation and and the fights was fire 🔥
Bruh why does rob keep saying soul reapers are trash
Because he don’t like them
Bc Quincy gang
@@blacktrack8716 I'm pretty sure he doesn't like central 46, The rest of the soul reapers are cool but he probably doesn't know
@@mangafan9991 robs reaction to tybw will be the best
I know that the final arc is being animated but any idea when it will be released?
Ichgio gave aizen that emotional damage
i wish they watched the sub just for Aizen's VA. it's the most soothing yet powerfull voice ive heared of any VA\Character.
Did u watch these eps in sub, it was so much better ngl
@@_ph4nt0mzz_47 ye i always watch anime sub. Almost always better than the dub.
I like Aizen's dub voice
you are absolutely right Aizen original voice give him even more Dept to his character is actually what makes you connect with him for first time
soul society is definitely bleach's best arc for me
