Since I am working for the US based company, should the Country, State and City fields in the 'Work History' section have the information of the US company or should it be the information about where I work or perform my job i.e. my home country? Now that the express entry is targeting category-specific draws, do I change my NOC code to 21300 as I am a civil engineer since I had been applying in the express entry as a construction manager NOC 70010 until now. My consultant suggested that since NOC 70010 had been selected repetitively in the SINP program I had a better chance of being selected. But Now looking at the situation the SINP score has come down to 67 whereas the NOC 70010 has not been selected yet, therefore I have this query whether I stick to my previous NOC and wait for SINP draws to select NOC 70010 or change my NOC to 21300 and wait for category based Draws, my CRS score is 390. And Finally, I would also like to ask if I have to have a licence from a Canadian regulatory body before applying in the NOC 21300 as it is a regulated profession. Please do reply.

To be an express entry candidate you need to have 1 years work experience within the last 10 years, but for the category based selection draw you only need 6 months work experience within the last 3 years. It sounds like your experience qualifies you under the STEM category and trades category. But consult an expert on which route would give you the most scores. All the best.

Data scientist is one of the preferred job categories for Express Entry, so just apply for it and you will get ITA in a couple of months.
