If there is no letter in your cabin listing out your Crown & Anchor onboard benefits, then seek out the Loyalty Ambassador on the ship. They should have all the tier-specific letters available. Their location and hours will be listed in the Cruise Compass.

Thank you for posting that. Just did our first cruise ever this past January and didn’t know how to do anything. Went to the casino and couldn’t find anyone to explain how to use the machines. I was able to get our $2.00 free assigned but had no clue what to do with the machine once that was done. There were no instructions on how to play.

Here is my photo package story/recommendation: it's a really fun thing to add to a short cruise and make it a priority. I got the 50 photo package on Indy for a 3 night weekend cruise and got all dressed up for dinner every night so we could take advantage of the package. The photo package was heavily discounted, so photos were about $5 each. My fiance proposed at one of the photo spots, so I have pictures of my reaction. Our photographer was absolutely amazing. I wish I could invite him to the wedding!

October 2022 was my first cruise since RC implemented the free daily vouchers, and it is now my favorite benefit! now I never have to debate getting the deluxe beverage package. my second favorite benefit would have to be the Diamond Lounge itself. Thanks, Matt. I have finally learned how much the balcony discount is for platinum tier and above. Too disappointing, though, as I expected something around 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% for each tier from platinum on. The "discount" RCCL offers is of course better than nothing, but yet comparable to the on board credits we get by booking our next cruise while on board. For instance, someone can get US$ 600 in credits by booking a grand suite during their first cruise, while a pinnacle guest - who took their entire life to get there - would only get a US$ 375 discount for the same stateroom (assuming a 10-night cruise or longer). That does not sound fair, but at least I assume those benefits can be combined. I wonder if the discounts on other cruise lines would be even smaller? Once again, keep up your great work. Sailing on Grandeur of the Seas in a couple of days.

Since my wife and I are in the same room, do we get BOGO specialty dining for each one of us? So two nights? What about free laundry, is it one bag per Diamond plus member or one bag per room? If you reserve online while signed in with your crown and anchor number does the system automatically apply the Diamond Plus balcony and suite discounts or do you have to call and ask for them? We usually book thru Casino Royale and two recent booking for a year out didn't show any discounts of any kind applied to our price. Thanks

I'll have to use some of those on my next cruise, notably the photo, casino, and BOGO dining. I'd prefer to figure out the menus beforehand and do speciality dining on nights where the menus repeat. I was already using the laundry and drinks, though I never used all five my D+ status entitled me to. I did switch to just the soda / internet package instead of the beverage package that included mocktails and came out ahead.
Not mentioned was the D+ amenity. On my recent cruise, it was not provided, and after a few days I had to chase down the Diamond Ambassador, who sent me to the C&A Ambassador, who had the job of telling me that they didn't have the item I requested. Unfortunately, that meant I had to pick a consumable item, which is not what I'd wanted. I tried the no alcohol wine, and realized it doesn't do anything for me. I'll try again on my next cruise.

Its a cool thing on Royal, Crown &Anchor counts no matter how young, no matter how far back. My parents have loyalty points back to the Song of Norway & Souvrain of the Seas. During our mini cruise back in January, my wife and I met little girl (age 6, and proud to tell us) showing off her 'back bends.' Her parents, and Grandparents who were looking on described how this voyage was her 4th cruise. I commented that she'd be a pinnacle member without ever having paid a dime of her own money, by the time she graduates from high school. They just laughed... then nodded. My own daughter, (age 7) will get her first 7 points in June, and might make Platinum by her 18th birthday.

They are loaded on your sea pass. You just have to mention that you want to use them. If you don’t have a letter in your room you can ask for the letter at the loyalty desk.

We sailed on Ovation last October. It was our first cruise on RCI but when I log into the Crown & Anchor website, my status isn't shown. It just says "Please check back later". It also doesn't list the cruise under Past Cruises. It's almost as if RCI have deleted us from their system.

Hello first time cruiser here 😊 Do you get points towards your status if you play nightly at the casino. Do I have to get a card or something so they can see my rate of play. Also does my husband share my points if I’m booking the cruise and paying for everything on my credit card? How does that work? Thanks in advance ❤

    • @PatrickWagz
      @PatrickWagz Год назад +1

You only get points for the nights on your cruise. If you go on a 7-night cruise, each person gets 7 points added to their accounts, once the cruise ends. You may also get double points for booking a junior suite and above.... or something. Those are the only ways you can get points. Points are not influenced by credit card spending or casino play.

If no one else in our party has a C&A account do they automatically get assigned a number when we board and get the coupon too? Or do they need to create an account in advance?

The perks aren't what they used to be. I remember the loyalty cruises, with gifts in our room every night. We were only Diamond level then, but one night we actually found C&A watches in lively metal cases waiting for us! On a later loyalty cruise, I received ONE cheap pen for the cabin, although we were all Diamond members, and told to share it. Now, as far as I know, loyalty cruises no longer exist, and unless you are Pinnacle level, you're nobody. Yes, I get me 5 free drinks every night, but no more specialty gifts, and a lot of other benefits have disappeared too. Since I'm at Diamond Plus now, with such an enormous gap between that and Pinnacle, I might as well start working my way up on other lines. Very disappointing....

Why in the world would anyone want to navigate all of that BS, trying to figure out what % off of what they have, when, where....etc?
Just go on an all inclusive cruise. I haven't looked, but, I'm PRETTY sure the ones that provide that, ALSO have rewards programs, SO>>>>>
Rather than having to literally do math, every time you want to get a drink.....how about have all of the math figured out, AND PAID FOR, before you even GO on the cruise!
You're literally talking about saving cents, to a few dollars, while it cost you THOUSANDS to get to the level where you can save cents, to dollars...
    People are dumb, I know.....
Show a %off sign to them and they baaa like sheep.
Why anyone would go anything but an ALL INCLUSIVE vacation, is beyond me.....

    • @PatrickWagz

Different strokes for different folks. Not everyone needs 12 drinks a day. I have no need for W-Fi, never book excursions through the cruise line anymore b/c they are extremely over priced. So, I have no interest in an ALL-INCLUSIVE. Plus, I don't have to do any math as you said. They hand me a Free drink, and I hand them a $2 tip. Then they hand me a free bag of clean laundry, and a free photo. Not too difficult to comprehend.

Some people scrimp & save just to afford taking a cruise. That's why they pinch pennies. You don't know how lucky you are to be able to afford an all inclusive cruise. Some people NEVER can afford to cruise. You are just being rude.
