Social experiment idea: leave everyone in a normal-looking world, but in the middle of the world, there is a command block with a button, the command block moves the bedrock layer up by one block, but nobody knows that, all they know is that there is a sign on the command block that says "DO NOT PRESS." how will the players react?
They probably spam it until they all suffocate in bedrock

The best strategy here would have been to kill a skeleton to obtain bone meal. Hope to find a red or blue nether forest biome and then place the bone meal on the ground and attempt to grow a nether tree

I haven't watched the full video, but I'm pretty sure you can kill the skeletons, get bonemeal, bonemeal the crimson fungi, and grow it into a tree to use. I'd be shocked if nobody used this

I would have set up an end portal near the spawn just to give them an idea of what their options are.
Unlike in real life, surviving isn't really a priority, nonetheless a goal in and of itself.
Cooperation requires an agreed upon goal and they weren't aware of any such goal.

You should do an experiment where you force people to do an obstacle course where one by one someone needs to be sacrificed for the rest of the group to be able to continue. Sometimes, the person who gets to the end is the winner, other times the rest of the group wins.
The comment at the end about the spelling of team reminds me of something my brother once said: “There may be no I in team. But there is an m and e. If you don’t like it, the team doesn’t need U.”

Check 15:42 there is wood, also if there is gold armor then you can have the piglins kill the holgins for food. Also if you have the wood you can get stone for the gold which you can then get iron from the piglins for a bucket that you can then use to tower up 5 blocks and burn the hoglins. Also if I remember correctly if you bone meal the red/blue mushrooms they turn into trees which means that you can indeed have a renewable source of wood and if you do it right you can have an iron axe/sword with fire resistance potions and enough obsidian to make a portal and the eyes of ender needed to beat the game.
