I just got my philodo yesterday and it does 31.4 throttle only. However it seems sluggish on takeoff and then at some point something kicks in as more power my 500 watt single motor has more initial torque
I would love to see a PASS 5 run on a modern running track. I have a high school track near my home I used to drain my battery before charging it overnight.
28.7mph seems to be max throttle only. I got mine to 30mph once and that was down hill though. Setting pas to 9 seems to give a small advantage on speed but drains the battery almost instantly. Lmao. Still a decent bike. I am hoping to find some 35amp 48v controllers to help with uphill since mine seems to struggle a bit unfortunately. My single motor 750w Aventon Aventure did a little better on hill climbing in pas 5. The Philodo rear motor seems to struggle which is starting to lead me to believe these are actually 500w motors and not 1000w each unfortunately. I will probably wait for warranty to run out or sell before upgrading though but it’s a nice platform to modify in the future if need be. My Aventon was all proprietary and wasn’t easy to mod anything on that bike. The battery alone cost $699.00 for the Aventon and you had to use Aventon built batteries which I’m trying to get away from. I like a more open source bike platform which imo this sorta fits the bill.
It can actually reach 31mph on throttle only. Did it on flat straightaway though, with no wind. Though i dont trust the speedometer, i match my wifes speed on her lectric and they never match. This thing can go up hill no problem, especially with a 265 lb dude on it. I will see about doing some tests on the next video.
I still do. I ride it all the time. Great bike. It's a heavy bike. So if you get it, get a rack that's low to the ground. So you don't have to lift it too high.
The H8 has 2 hub motors with 2 controllers. The Throttle controls both at the same time. I remember lifting the bike and verifying this when I first got it. Same for Pedal assist mode. After you pedal I'd say a turn and a half, pedal assist kicks in with both motors.
@laptop597 i get a good initial kick from level 3 and up. I am wondering what i'll do once i need a new battery, probably youtube a diy battery replacement. Till then... i will pretend it will never fail.
Hope to get mine soon. Looks like a good one.
Honored to be your first sub.

Do you still have this bike? Hows it holding up?

@zeker8686 I did and I did get a rack to...I have 75 miles on it. Have it 2 weeks now. Awesome bike.
Is the front hub throttle only?

I find take off on throttle only slow? .batteries are expensive to
