Being a great Grandmother to a 9 month little boy who just learned how to crawl is bringing so much joy. Knitting lots of socks for family and friends makes me so happy. Thanks for an awesome podcast.
One thing bringing me joy this month is upping my financial independence game. I’m reading, budgeting, planning and getting money smart. With that comes more intentional buying habits and cutting back, which has allowed me to fall back in love with yarn in my stash!
Emily, listening and watching your channel is bringing me joy. You always sound upbeat and show so many wonderful yarns. I have not knit for awhile so watching your channel is bringing back the joy I had and still have. I like your idea of moving your body at least 30 minutes 5 days a week. I have no plan yet but I need to move more. Have a good day.
What brings me joy these days is that I did all my winter exams at uni and can work on my knitting and sit with my mom in the garden, I also slowly teach her how to knit and it is really nice that we can knit together. I found your podcast recently and enjoyed your videos about knitting. Right now working on my Paul cardigan and doing the double-knitted button band.
“I know I said no test knits… but then I signed up for a test knit.” 😂 Your handspun Ranunculus looks fantastic! Even the non-knitting armchair fashion expert sitting next to me says that it looks really good. What an incredible turnout for your knitting group - wow. 🥳 Watching cardinals and woodpeckers on my bird feeders has been bringing me joy. One of my favorite things about winter is how bright the male cardinals look against the snow.
Bold lipstick, statement earrings, Suri alpaca, and green smoothies are bringing me so much joy! Congrats on moving 30 minutes a day everyday in December! That’s inspiring!
two things are bringing me lots of joy right now.....First, my husband finished his first documentary (35000 Watts - The story of college radio)! It took 3 years but it's finally done, so proud of him! Second is an upcoming beach trip with two of my girlfriends and added bonus a pit stop on the way to one of our favorite yarn stores :)
One big thing that is bringing me joy is knitting all the things for my first grandbaby!! Another is watching all these talented and wonderful podcasters sharing their world with us. Thank you ❤
Hi! I'm currently knitting a prayer shawl for a lady in my church who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. The knitting brings me joy because I know the shawl will bring her some comfort as she snuggles up in it. It's just one small thing that I can do for her.
Knitting brings me joy. Always. I finished a sweater that fits me perfectly and it was my first time modifying a sweater pattern! 🤗 I found your channel during Vlogmas and enjoy watching your content. Keep up the good work! ❤🧶 Ewa
You bring me joy every time you post a vlog. You are empowering and kind and it’s a joy to be your knitting friend for the duration of the vlog. Other things that brings me joy at the moment are my loving family, that I’m getting better and better at being kind to myself and that I’m turning 50 on Valentine’s Day. I have so much to be thankful for. Trying to pay it forward. Take care! ❤
My current WIPs are bringing me joy. After the busy holiday season of gift giving I am only working on projects that I am enjoying. I always love knitting, but all of my current makes are rather selfish, and I’m ok with that!!!
We've been having some rare rain here in California, and that gives me joy!!! Thanks for a great episode. My current WIP is my first pair of socks in years!!!
Being able to just stay in and knit is bringing me so much joy. The fall and Christmas seasons are so busy that it's been refreshing to have no obligations beyond work.
It’s a day with a lot of sunshine and a blue skie today and i get to knit, watch podcasts, drink tea and read. That brings me so much joy and the much needed rest I need to get me trough the next week.
I went thrifting and I scored a huge stack of vintage crossstitch, crochet, and knitting magazines/patterns. I found a home sweet home cross stitch pattern that I kitted up and started, it is bring me so much joy to stitch on it in the evening.
Sorry my comment ended up in a reply to another comment! So I will re-comment here! Life is really busy right now with work - so when I have time and get some knitting done that brings me great joy! But even more so - we just welcomed our 6th grand baby one week ago on Jan 18th! His name is Dominick or Domi for short and he and his mom and dad and sister Eliana are living with us for a few months while they do some renovations on their new house! We love having them living with us - and especially now with a new little one to get newborn snuggles at night after a long work day❤. What a generous prize you are offering to celebrate this wonderful milestone in sharing your love of knitting - I really enjoy watching your posts and your love and kindness and inspiration really shine through you!
Your #The Botanical Knitter channel brings me joy and inspiration. Thank you. I also go shopping for items stashed in my own home from 3 generations of family who are with us in our dreams. Your giveaway is lovely. Please give it to someone young. I first put hand to spindle in 1973 and have enough stuff to keep me going forever. You are appreciated!
I’ve had a cold all week, and I’m finally feeling better! We have a gorgeous weather weekend in store and I’m so grateful I’m feeling healthy again to enjoy it!
Hi! Love your podcast!! This Christmas my Granddaughter had asked me to make her a sweater in her school colors! I'm thrilled. I used to knit her sweaters when she was little but I stopped because she stopped wearing them. I'm currently knitting her sweater now to have it ready for her birthday in March! It's bringing me so much joy!
What's bringing me joy is that we're patiently awaiting the arrival of our baby! And I'm knitting to pass the time :) I'm working on a mosaic knitting pattern (the pressed flowers cowl) for the first time, and I'm really enjoying the technique!
I recently started spinning a couple of months ago and I’m using my handspun in a project for the first time! Watching my project grow knowing that I made the yarn myself is bringing me so much joy!
Right now, being able to have the flexibility to work, homeschool my 3 children, and still find time to knit and do all the things in my spare time! It’s hard to complain even on hard days, because I would do it any other way. I feel so thankful and it truly brings me joy. 😊
I knit my dog a sweater to match mine, and it makes me so happy! I've been scaling down on test knits largely so I can cast on projects like this, and it is so worth it.
Hi Emily! I love watching your vlogs. As a fellow Minnesotan I have to say that right now the warm up is making me happy. You have helped me get back into knitting and I’m trying all kinds of things I never thought I could. Keep on vlogging!
I'm finding so much joy rn sitting in my dorm knitting while watching a show with all my friends. We finally got the projector to work and it's been such a blast! Thank you for the great video!
I've been waking up 30 mins earlier than usual before work to get a little bit of knitting done! It really sets my day off on the right foot. Love your podcast!
Hi Emily! Your handspun Ranunculus is amazing. So cozy looking, and the colorblocking turned out perfectly for not even trying! What is bringing me joy right now? I'm sitting here in my home in Pennsylvania with my window cracked and the sun keeps peeking out from behind the clouds. It's very unseasonably warm after having single digit temps and lots of snow last week. My diffuser is diffusing a peace and harmony blend, and I'm enjoying knitting the sleeve on my Gloam cardigan as I watch this episode. Thank you for posting. I really enjoy your videos, your articulate thoughts, and your insights. Your kitchen shelving looks awesome! We installed open shelves in our kitchen eight years ago, and I love them so much. Your house looks so cozy!
One thing that is bringing me so much joy is that seed starting season is upon us! I am getting my pepper seeds started this week!!! I’m also getting joy from knitting all the vests!!! (The Academic, Vest No. 3, and The Trouvaille Vest are all on the needles!)
"sparkle and this unicorn floofy thing" YESSS! I have seen alot of people knitting a hat called the alpine bloom hat, and I think some colorful unicorny flowers on the black sparkly background would be so good together. Some things that have brought me joy recently are the light returning, getting back into a knitting-and-reading groove, and a new sudoku/puzzle book i got recently :)
Delighted to have discovered your RUclips channel! Presently, I'm knitting the Pressed Flowers Cardigan, finding joy in watching my Spincycle yarn transition through all the beautiful colors🩶💜🩷🧡💚
Your Ranunculus sweater is amazing - I love the sleeves!! Also, your plant shelves are incredible!!! I love seeing them all in the background!! Thank you so much for your support and love for my bookmarks!!! :)
My knitting and spinning is definitely bringing me joy right now. I’ve been doing more sitting than usual (recovering from a broken ankle 😢), so making has been saving my sanity! I love these RUclips chats so much - it makes me feel like we get to hang out 😉
So nice finding your podcast. Really uplifting and inspiring. Felt like we had a nice chat over a cup of tea😊 Finding a beautiful match with yarn, pattern and wardrobe…🥰
I’m getting so much joy right now sitting by the fireplace, knitting (of course!) and watching all my favourite RUclipsrs. Keep doing what you are doing. I love your calm energy. ❤
Life is really busy right now with work - but when I get some time of course knitting brings me great joy! But also - we just had our 6th grand baby on Jan 18th and his mom and dad and sister are living with us while they are renovating their house! We have loved having them here with us - especially a new little baby to snuggle at the end of a busy day! What a generous gift you are offering to celebrate a great milestone in sharing your joy of knitting! I really enjoy your enthusiasm and your kindness and love of knitting shines through you!
Hi Emily! Congrats on almost 2k! I'm finding joy in a spring shawl project that I cast-on to help me get through a particularly gloomy winter. We've been shrouded in fog and rain for days on end and this shawl is helping me focus on the bright spring days to come! It's also bringing me joy because I saved the yarn from a languishing WIP and it's an absolute luxury blend of BFL, silk, and cashmere. I'm super excited to get it done and wear it as the spring wildflowers come out 😍
I am so happy I found your channel during vlogmas, I grew up in MN and making plans to move back. It warms my heart to hear from MN. Sounds like we hang around the same fiber groups. I am sure we will meet at some point. It brings me joy to watch you have fun, I have purchased several sweater patterns after you have shown them. Thank you
Love your knits. And what wonderful goodies in that cute bag. I have several whips to work through as well this year. But all the new and shiny are calling ❤. I live watching your podcast and that and this whole community brings me joy. I love to decorate and thrift as well. We renovated our kitchen last year and incorporated some open live edge shelves. Love displaying the pretty things.
All the beautiful friendships I've made in my local yarn shop's knitting afternoon bring me so much joy! I am privileged to see these ladies once a week to talk about all things knitting, to share our projects, to work out knitting problems, to laugh and cry together, to offer a shoulder to lean on; what could be better?
Thanks for sharing! Your podcast has helped me to take a break from finals recently. One thing bringing me joy lately is a cup of earl gray tea during study sessions. 😊
You are so generous. Thank you for sharing your favorite things with us! What's brining me joy is making yarn! I'm a very new spindle spinner and I'm finally making 3-ply yarn and have a project in mind for it 😍
Retirement brings time for all fiber fun - knitting, weaving, spinning, and travel with family. ❤ Almost done with Lulu vest for my daughter’s B-day, and always have gift socks and charity hats on my needles. As an ex-Minnesotan, so enjoying your podcast and the local content. Thanks!
So glad that I found your podcast and happy to be part of the community!! One thing that is bringing me joy is WEARING MY FIRST PAIR OF HANDKNIT SOCKS!! So cozy. Oh and you didn't ask for a second one, but I'm about ready to start a mini-MKAL with my best friend--we picked our pattern and are going to cast on in a couple weeks! Cheers to another year of knitting!!
I love your new haircut so cute on you. Also, this space brings me a lot of joy, I look forward to your content and hat and sock knitting during these chilly midwestern days ❤
Congratulations on a very successful January knit month! Your Renunculus is amazing, the color 'change' looks like perfect. What brings me joy is having very busy evening with my six year old and being able to knit during all her activities. Im able to watch her while my hands knit knit knit.
I am working…slowly through my WIPs and it is making me so happy to complete the projects that have been giving me stink eye as I continue to cast on more 🤦♀️🤷♀️
Something bringing me joy recently is my new yarn storage shelf--it's technically a shoe organizer, but the little cubbies are perfect for storing yarn, especially in project quantities! I love being able to look at my yarn and think about projects I have planned or figure out yarns that might go well together--so much to look forward to! Congrats on your growing channel! I love your videos and I think I've actually been watching them since your very first Vlogmas video. You create such lovely projects and I enjoy hearing your knitting chit chat and adventures.
I live in south Texas these days although like you I am a WI girl by birth. So what is bringing me joy right now is getting to wear my woolly hand knits.
I just finished my first ever pair of socks and am making good progress on a colourwork pullover. Really enjoying it. I can’t find a knitting group close to me so these videocasts are very dear to me. Love your kitchen shelves!
I just finished my first test knit and the pattern was an absolute joy to knit up! Keeping my fingers crossed for cooler temps so I can show it off. If you’re looking for a gorgeous worsted colorwork pattern, check out The Sunset Sweater by Camrie Cutler with Golden Hour Knitwear!
One thing bringing me joy is knitting my first pair of socks. I learned to knit in September of last year and am so happy with how much I’ve learned in just a few months. Love your podcast and thanks for the giveaway!
Your podcast is so positive - I am enjoying it. What is bringing me joy this week is creating a space in my home dedicated solely to knitting! I love looking at my stash while I am knitting.
Finding a moment of peace in the midst of chaos, which gave me the motivation to finish a shawl that I've been working on/off all month. I seriously screwed up the bind off a couple of days ago and was almost tempted to frog it, but here I am, slowly picking up 330+ stitches so I can finish it before the end of the day. 🥴
Beautiful ranunculus, love the long sleeves! Thanks for another awesome episode and generous gift away. I am happily working on a large shrug for my cozy reading corner and two sock projects: It brings me joy to be working with some of my wonderful stash sock yarn that I've bought on my travels. Self striping yarn always makes me happy.
Dear Emilly; Always great to see a new video from you; enjoyed some knitting while seeing what you've been up to. I am getting great joy from making a Habitation Throw from the advent minis you sent me; can't seem to put it down. Also, getting some organizing done, in my home, is bringing me joy!! Take care and Happy Making ~ Best Always ~ Lori

My current WIP is bringing me joy, it’s a really fun cowl with cables and lace and bobbles and smocking and all the things, and, it’s hot pink! Your rainbow batts and black sparkle yarn would be perfect for a pair of Rockefeller Mitts by NicoleClark. Love your ranunculus.

Love your vlogcast! Always happy to see a new episode 👍🏻 My favorite thing currently is having a small project going along with the larger one. Making socks and mittens currently along with the sweater project, and probably some little bears and bunnies coming!
Our pre-lit Christmas tree is bringing me so much joy right now as I pray for snow days and the lightness and wonder that comes from snow filled winters. Also new to me yarn from thrift stores (including some Lavender Lune yarn!)

Thanks!
All of the fiber and family time sounds lovely! Thank you for watching.
I’m knitting a shawl with the most beautiful three skeins of blue yarn. The colors coordinate perfectly and I’m so happy every time I pick it up ❤
I am from southern Mn and it makes me happy to find other MN knitters! Happy to have found your channel.
Attempting cables is bringing me joy (and frustration). It's fun to try a new technique and notice myself getting better in the course of a sleeve!
So fun meeting with you the past few weeks at DFCo! I love your inspiration of a podcast…maybe it’ll happen soon! See you at the Let’s Lento KAL🧶
Hot tea, fire in the, a knit and The righteous Gemstones with my husband cozy and hilarious
Loved this episode!! Bringing me joy is my 7 week old baby. She makes knitting tough but that’s what vlogcasts are for!!!
Squeee! Congratulations.
I love that you have your own space for knitting! Thank you for watching and your kind words.
Today I am joyful for family! Currently knitting sweaters for all of my SIL. So grateful to have them in my life
Love this. I bet your SILs will love their sweaters.
330+!!! Hope it went well and you are enjoying the finished object.
Today I joyfully finished spinning 250 grams of black Welsh mountain. Such fun to try different breeds!

Knitting has been more joyful than usual because I am becoming the knitter I want to be. I just finished a pair of Melita socks that I altered and was so proud of how they turned out.

Having a very quiet, low-key January is bringing me oh so much joy!
That sounds so nice. Hope your February is also relaxing.

Our pre-lit Christmas tree is bringing me so much joy right now as I pray for snow days and the lightness and wonder that comes from snow filled winters. Also new to me yarn from thrift stores (including some Lavender Lune yarn!)
Getting ready to a family cultural event at my kid’s school - thankful for these kinds of sharing events ❤
