@@bobbobbly7900 - yeah, I can’t see this being realistic for a recreational user. A Yamaha 425 XTO would be several thousand dollars cheaper, have *much* higher top end speed, and much better service and support - all very important to a recreational buyer.
@@Darkblitzrc - the CXO300 is several thousand dollars more than the Yamaha 425 XTO. And the Yamaha will have much greater top end - which might be more important to recreational use buyers. As would service and support.
@@petersouthernboy6327 Yeah but you are not accounting for 3 times the lifespan and the 25% reduction in gasoline costs. If we take into account those costs I believe the COX 300 is very competitive.
@@Darkblitzrc - torque does absolutely nothing for top end speed. Which is why a recreational buyer will go four stroke. This motor makes sense for a commercial fisherman or other commercial uses like a charter business or dive boat. Plus the lack of service or support for Cox or OXE will turn off recreational users.
at last..can't wait to have one on my boat
At three times the cost of a 4 stroke 300 this is going nowhere
@@petersouthernboy6327 oh sh..t ,thought it would be cheaper to run but there goes that dream ,thanks for the info

Круто! Спасибо за видео:)...
How much will it cost? In Russia, when will it be on sale?
Please, contact us. We are from Poland and we can provide you with CXO300.
about 3 times of what a normal 300 4 stroke costs
so forget about it it is only for the rich people
Who would sell to russia?

Based on the torque, the equivalent of this motor is a Yamaha 450 not a 300.

@@petersouthernboy6327 great points. I understand torque does not equal higher speeds. Anyways, its good to get some diesel innovation nevertheless.
This is the Chinese knock off, of the OXE diesel outboard.
No - Cox outboards are made in Great Britain….Oxe are Swedish ones made out of stripped pine and you assemble them at home with an Allen key…..
