Good interview and a great product, congratulations on all the hard work and looking forward to seeing the company succeed. Working in the maritime industries for over 30 years I have used petrol out boards and understand the importance of maintenance schedules and how frequently we have to strip the petrol engines, the new diesel out board engines could half the cost and time we have to do this. The advantages of reliability at sea is paramount and in my opinion I'd choose the diesel out boards over petrol every time.
My thinking is that it would be quite a feat to be able to have a Trawler yacht with Diesel outboards instead of inboards . Imagine all the design possibilities and space reconfiguraton, not to mention mileage over distance attained from fuel consumpton.
I'm new to diesel outboards, I've heard of "Oxe" and now Cox...2 different companies from 2 different countries.. holy cow. I guess I've been asleep.. now mercury is in the game.. who else? Great idea...
@@phil-bay-of-plenty-nz Wow, like who really says they like their engine pushing hard on their rear end ? Your comment probably meant to be a joke, but it aint funny.
This guy makes it sound as if the British Government gave them a personal request to build this engine. The truth is, the request was put out there for anyone.
Almost $50,000 US for this monstrosity or about $23,000 for a 250hp Honda..... gee let me do the freaking math... this engine has fail written all over it.
I couldn’t stop laughing as the interviewer has to confirm he’s heard what he just said by “ah huh” and okay with a head nod. Ruined the entire video and threw the sales guy off.
All these diesel Outboards seem to be a Solution to a Non-existent problem... There are a couple of outboard brands that have been used Commercially for decades with normal wear and tear maintenance...
Had to raise $100mil? Who do they think is paying for that? We have seen a $60K+ OXE already, double the cost of a great gas outboard. I guess here is $100K+ British version of the same overpriced and undersold shit.
Unbelievable that with $100M raised they couldn’t find a better sales director. I would think twice about buying water in a desert from this guy. No detectable passion for what should be an exciting product.
Both interviewer and interviewee are great. The interviewer asks few questions and the interviewee answer them honestly and in full detail.
Yeah ..they were great.
10 minutes of smoke screen and BULLSHIT.
Excellent reporting, thank you!

Have you checked out the oxe diesel engines? from cimco marine
These engines: last 3x longer, save 25% on fuel, 485ft of torque starting at 1300rpm, 1.8mpg, 40-55 knots to speed. BRAVO! Well worth the price.
BULLSHIT

Oh look, more outrageously priced outboards.
Pretty much.
at last, a respectful, gentle presenter! goodonyamate!
Ivan?
Finally big power diesel outboards
Wow thats a massive Cox, does it have DPF or adblue scr?
I've seen 3 or 4 of these videos not a single one gives us a fuel concussion dependability warranty cost and weight
Guy on the left: do you like cox? Guy on the right: I do. They are fabulous!
Ik Lam nice😂
"unique vertical crank shaft" - heard of Yanmar d27, d36 and d40 outboards?
It's ok, he doesn't know what vertical crankshaft means. Vertical, horizontal, only a matter of degrees.
Is a Cox the same as a Johnson?

@@juddosborne305 yeah.. bit aren't they only doing lower horse power motors? Like around 20 HP? Idk
Dick Hurtz -yessir
Thumps up for the interviewer not dying of laughter every time he hears bout cox this and cox that
Surely they could have come up with a better name!
Dencil Dean I too have a friend with the same last name
Here in Australia we use the term for the male appendage.
hey when i am out in my boat i love having 2 cox pushing me hard in the rear end! lol. thats why the name sucks!!
TheMarkbop Well if you talk like that then you’re a douche anyway. No one says “I love having my Yamaha push hard on my rear end” 😂. Fruitcake
@@phil-bay-of-plenty-nz Wow, like who really says they like their engine pushing hard on their rear end ? Your comment probably meant to be a joke, but it aint funny.
When it brakes down will they say it's " all cocked up "?
my cox not working! lol

Missing the most important reason for diesel vs. gas/petrol on boats is the enormous fire hazard of carrying the latter on a vessel.
Hmmm...How many Gas powered boats have you seen "blow-up"? Stupidity is the #1 issue to be delt with
Tell me I'm wrong... used cox .049 engines for flying model airplanes in the 50's..if so, they do have experience.
This is a new company
When engine goes to limp mode in ruff seas...is the marine engine more durabel
Pull a cowl off start off with this is their own designed block this is like watching a year long documentary on the BBC at that
Would love to try 120 hp one my 120 two stroke drinks fuel like a plug hole
How heavy?
Almost $50,000 US for this monstrosity or about $23,000 for a 250hp Honda..... gee let me do the freaking math... this engine has fail written all over it.
Care to go into detail? What screams failure exactly...
@@WattsUpDev the ridiculous price
Brandon Murphy Not convincing since 100k Seven Marine Outboards are selling like hot cakes.
A lot of rich people are stupid. They did their marketing. It looks like the 300 hp diesel OXE is not doing well. And up against 600 hp Mercurys...
what types or brands of watercraft are these engines being marketed for?????
The floaty kind
He said Government and Commercial...
Torque and weight ?? By the way, the number one industrial out board brand is Suzuki.

Sounds like BULLSHIT to me. Big power, small displacement, equals HIGH STRESS....HIGH FAILURE RATE.
Tell me they have pdf filters or do you just dump that fuel oil in the water. Not good. The fumes are poison
Will they power a 20foot rib from Calais to Dover under darkness!
Look how big for a 300 😲 rather have a 627 instead.
Two different purposes, one is for speed and power (seven marine), while (Cox) is for Fuel Economy & Torque.
To bad they have bad customer service. It is a great idea.
How did they have bad customer service when they weren’t in full production?
Intrested in a diesel outboad but righ not does not make sense cost, performance and liability
Joel you're not convincing me
When this engine come to my village, Aceh jeumpa .maybe any people to buy .so this brand can word compani.tq.
He said , " main - tain - annce," !! Lol
25 or 30 or 40 % safe 😅
mhm mhm mhm mhm mhm mhm mhm Does the interviewer know not to mhm to every point!!Other than that very interesting!
I can't stop hearing it now! lol mhm!
Cox!! Why not dicksiel engines.

Who in the Hell would want a Noisy ...Stinky...Diesel.... Big Ass Boat Anchor hanging off the back of their boat???
uh huh, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh

That guy is a total clown I was actually interested in his engine and technology now I can’t even watch the video till the end

All we bloody need on the waterways, Sooty's! WTF are they thinking?? Bad enough people driving Diesel Sooty's on the Roadways. PASS!!!
