Well I think you were great mikka, just as you are in everything you do, I'm so glad you didn't remove this like u said u were going to, Howard if u remember me..
Wow, ten years ago! During that time, I became a student of bass clarinet myself. I so enjoyed this performance! How could anyone have given this a thumbs down? Are you still playing?
I'm only in middle school and I can tell that this is very good tone and sound quality it's the best I'm in 8th grade and I went from a clarinet to base clarinet for my final year of middle school
+Awesome Gamer25 Lol. Same here. I'm first chair in the highest band and debating on whether or not I should play this piece. I want to do an Easy-ish Grade 2 because I also have to practice for a bowling tournament three hours away the same weekend as Solo and Ensemble.
@dangeroustears123 well, i didn't notice that you had a cd accampiast, so you didn't really have control over the tempo. that sucks. i love it when there is an actual person there to follow your tempo and such. but it still sounds amazing. ill try to put up a recording of mine sometime
@musicmydrugmrm yeah i understand. it looks like youre in a library? maybe you should set up some kind of signal with your sound guy, because he couldve turned it down.
Not bad! I would say work on breathing technique, tongue should not stick like a popsicle, a ton more dynamic, and possibly finding a better chair that will allow you to have your feet on the ground. I totally get how challenging this instrument can be. I did solo ensemble this year for bass clarinet and won 1st in the state of WA. I have a lot more advice but it would take a while.
@MrTaterSheep my piano accumpionist (dunno how to spell it) sucks. Just remember to go ur own speed and they should follow. Its a hard song either way so the judge should be pretty nice about it
constructive critism: slow down a bit at the begining. when i play it, i tend to take it slower to bring out the fast parts. the articulation at the second section could be brought out. i had a hard time keeping time on the part where you cross the break a lot in the fast part. you also speed up when you hit the next little fun section after that. There's not much of a dynamic range from what i hear. im taking this to state in a few days on the bass clarinet. keep up the excellent work!!!
I also played this solo, but for an All South Jersey Junior High band audition. I was first chair. This song is really cool, and I play it all the time, and my book did not come a with the piano accompaniment. Where did you get the CD that was playing in the background? BTW...awesome job. I play along with this video all the time.
I wanna do this solo this year and I'm so glad I found a good recording of it
Very nice, thank you. Inspires me to...practice!

Great Job! A word of advice: Play with more emotion, dynamic wise for the most part.
Isaac Santos agreed

Hey, so I'm in 8th grade 2nd year ish on my bass...and I'm doing this in feb, any help?? I need it??!!
@musicmydrugmrm So you are saying that the CD recording comes with the piano book?
constructive critism: slow down a bit at the begining. when i play it, i tend to take it slower to bring out the fast parts. the articulation at the second section could be brought out. i had a hard time keeping time on the part where you cross the break a lot in the fast part. you also speed up when you hit the next little fun section after that. I think she's playing alone with recorded piano; so she has no control over tempo.
I'm playing this solo this weekend. I have only met with my piano dude twice and we don't really play together very well. :/ Any advice?

Were is this at it looks so fa-miler like I know the place?
what class is this?
I believe it is a class B solo
this is meant to be a helpful comment, not mean: you should play louder.
Yeah, my piano dude sucked too. He was just...no.
