    That concerto was... An experience. As a bass clarinetist myself, even if I wasn't one, that is hands dowm my favorite piece for ANY kind of clarinet.

    When your concerto starts with a recitative like section with wild cadenzas! Very much in the vain of Weber and Mendelssohn so far with references to Steiner and Waxman, I'm digging it, would love to get a score to this and cd of it. Outstanding bass clarinet!

    I think that video shows us one of the best option how bass clarinet can sound and how bass clarinet can be hard technical instrument

    I am completely perplexed that is of an extraordinarily high level. What a talent and the instrument fits you like a glove. The musician becomes music

    Me entristece ver el recinto tan vacío cuando hay una presentación con grandes músicos.

    The second movement resembles Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini inverted slow theme section! It is enjoyable.

    Very good! it's the only version of this concert on RUclips that plays really well. I can see that you play a Pomarico wizard, what tip opening is it?

      Thank you so much! I use the Pomarico Wizard HB mouthpiece (the HB model as far as I know is not easy to get now) and Vandoren traditional no.3 reeds.

    Dear, congrats by the concert, a question. Do you have a Fingering chart of the high notes of bass clarinet? Thanks

    • @MISSSSMAYLOVE
      @MISSSSMAYLOVE 8 месяцев назад

      The fingering chart is the same as the usual clarinet. But, you need to open the hole(note E(Mi)) when you start playing high notes.
