  • This footage, taped by Director Jim Ruddy for "Entertainment Tonight", captures scenes of the Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) in their original lineup playing at the Majestic Theatre in Dallas, Texas on May 1, 1992, for the release party of their album, Little Ol' Cowgirl. Original band members Martie Erwin, Emily Erwin, Laura Lynch, and Robin Lynn Macy play bluegrass and country songs for an enthusiastic audience. In this clip, the Texas band plays a song from their new album, "Just a Bit Like Me." Martie Erwin can be seen on the fiddle, Emily Erwin on the banjo, Lynch on upright bass and lead vocals, and Macy on guitar and lead vocals.

i think of her often and was fortunate to see them play in Paso Robles Calif for a few years. I had to drive like 240 miles every year to see them and thought of driving to NM from LA one year.

Rapidly becoming one of my favorites. Rest easy Ms. Lynch, you're still with us in spirit. Kudos to all of the Chicks and Robin Macy for a great performance.

This is my favorite pre-Natalie Chicks song. I’d never seen a video of them singing it before. What a treat. Thank you for posting! Rest easy, sweet Laura. 🤍

I've been looking for a performance of this song for years. Thank you. I know they were on the American Music Shop but those shows don't seem to be available.

Laura Lynch is from Dell City, TX. Formerly a successful farm town owned by her dad and his two brothers. They had a large family. I knew her brother, Kevin, very nice man, nice family. I never met Laura, though. May she RIP.

i met her and loved her. Awesome is not a word that describes her. Beautiful, classy and with style. First class. Natalie was disgraceful choice the sisters made. There could never be a replacement who had the beautiful soul of Laura.
