It's like going down memory lane with this channel. RIP to all these brilliant people
Some of them, I didn’t even realise were gone, so sad RIP
Same with me and some of them were quite a few years ago. The Ones That Shocked me the most was Peter Sissons and Bill Turnbull, I don't recall hearing anything about them dying I just thought that they had retired.
Same here i didn't either quiet shocking really xx
It's sad to see people you grew up with on the television that have now gone. 😢
You paid their salary.
A lot of them were household names and some of them read the news at a time when we believed every single word that they said. Today we know better because of the internet and other news sources. I just wonder how many lies these people were telling us for their establishment masters?
When you saw them on telly most nights they became like friends, so sad lots of them didnt have very long lives, bless them.
I always will remembered Peter Baker as he narrated the children's programs Teddy Edwards and Mary Mongo and Midge.
@@adjam7782 Richard Baker 😊
No corny music or pointless voice-over, just a respectful upload.
Carol Barnes was lovely. It was particularly upsetting after she lost her daughter and went downhill.
I recall her reading the Rwanda news in 1994 whilst looking visibly shaken at the sight of sick child patients piled on a wheelbarrow being pushed from a to b.
💮🌻🌹.
Richard Baker was my favourite. An officer in the Royal Navy. Voice for Mary, Mungo and Midge and numerous documentaries.
I had no idea Bill Turnbull had passed. I stopped watching TV years ago but he had been my fav news reader as he was so genuine and nice.
Bill Turnbull was a presenter on Classic FM and worked until a few weeks before he died. It was very sad.
Kenneth Kendall was one of my favourite news readers. He also hosted 'Treasure Hunt' from the studio whilst Anneka Rice was in the helicopter
Yes agree did he also do Mary mungo and midge?
@kathleennye262 Richard Baker narrated that
@@mjstefansson7466 oh yes..
When some of our newscasters were actually honest and impartial. Not now.
Flipping cancer has got a lot to answer for ….how many years has cancer research been going?😢about time something had improved…
Cancer is awful
Yes it’s very sad for all these people we either met or knew on screen RIP.
Some of which were very young lovely educated people RIP.
42 here and stunned so many died younger than me
Hey 42, I’m 52 and feel 13 so when I see that so many familiar faces have passed so much younger than I am now it’s just makes me so sad. Many died far too young. God bless them all ❤😢
Rest in peace 😢all
Of them goodnight godbless.. never forgotten part of our lives through tv 📺
I remember some of these from when I was just a boy so sad may they all RIP
RIP to all of them. I wasn't aware those I remember have gone until this video. Thanks a lot for informing us.
I didn't realise all those people had gone. So sad.
It's just like your child hood gone flying past you..I've not had TV for about three years now, I remember George A he always had a lovely way about him,he was terrible in trying to get his point over with awkward guests, for a news caster he was just to nice 😂 I never realised he'd passed away... I feel all sad now 😿😿💖he was Definitely one of the better ones 💕🙏🙏✌️💂🇬🇧🌹🍒
So sad, so many died at a young age many of them almost felt like family they were in our home and lives almost every day. Thank you all for for your professionalism and dedication. God bless😔
The number of them who died from cancer is staggering.
Indeed, Mary. I've been a Trauma Physician for nearly forty years, & the correlation in mortality statistics, given their occupation, cannot be ignored. Ironically, the more
we study Carcinomas, the fewer (seemingly) we successfully cure; that not being a criticism per se, rather more a bleak observation & truism.
@andrewtongue7084 I was thinking aloud and wondering about the equipment and electricity that they are constantly surrounded by and use. Of course, I have no proof or data. Plus we would have to look at the support staff as well...
Quite right, Mary; of course, there are always external factors that can present as causative agents in Carcinomas - congenital familial elements, & as you assert, electromagnetic equipment; more telling (as I consider) is the phenomenal amount of stress - relative to their occupation - meeting deadlines, impromptu scheduling, caffeine intake increase; dietary
irregularity & content of same; were I in that line of work, I'd be more inclined to work as a freelance Journalist - governing the workload personally; in any event, not an idyllic career. My friends & family have never really understood my choice in becoming a Physican - & of course, this profession can be stressful too; I suppose all that one might say is that it is imperative to strike a fine home-work balance; not always possible, but one has to try.
Wishing you a fine day ahead,
Best,
Andrew.
@andrewtongue7084 Cheers from a London Medical Biochemist .
Ah. My third degree is in Biochemistry, Mary; clearly, we are cut from similar cloth,
Regards,
Andrew.
I remember a load of them when I lived in the UK.
Now I've got the illness similar to a few of them, memories have returned, and I'll catch up with them within the next couple of months.
We'll have a chat and laugh about the older UK.
❤
Gosh so many young taken by Cancer ...
RIP to them all
I think it's because our food is just rubbish.
Cannot find a cure for that but developed a vaccine for that thing in months.

Some of those i never even knew had passed away.. Such a a shame we lost so many 😢💔
Some fine journalists here. RIP all.
5:00 Justice for Jill Dando!
So many, so young.
I remember Peter Sissons also on ITN too.
Respect to Richard, Hugh, Sir David, Gordon, Alistair Burnet, Frank , Andrew, Leonard, Brian and Bill, some of who were part of my childhood. Very sorry about Chris Morgan. Hope he found peace.
Had no idea Tony Morris had passed on. How sad.
Sue Lloyd-Roberts is another gem. Gone too soon. 🥀 🌺 🌸 🌼 🌻 🌞 🌾 🌹.
Their voices are etched on our memories. God rest their souls
I didn't know Carol Barnes had died and so long ago.😢
Yes did not even know. Just assumed she had retired.
A blast from the past , so many died so young RIP
This is shock to me, didn't know the news reports had passed away. RIP to all of them! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤❤❤💜💜💜💜
There on the other side now RIP to them all
Michael Nicholson, author of "Natasha's song", about the young girl he saved in Sarajevo.
That book became the movie " Welcome To Sarajevo".
Its all to sad they brought us the news, but news readers don't us of thier passing.. I'm at the age group I love my Gordon Honecombe, Proper news ŕeader. ❤
So many, so young, it really makes you think.
Shocked at who have died and how. Cancer and heart attack
Omg, so sad to see Beccy Barr has gone, I always liked her on Northwest news she was so beautiful..... so sad
Bless them all.
They were all great guys RIP
God bless all RIP
Tony Morris you missed Granada Reports off the channels
He was a massive part and I remember Lucy Meacock announcing it 😢😢
RIP legend's
A few died in their 90s and that's normal, but far too many died well before their time. Very sad.
It feel like you know them all from watching tv over the years. I hadn't realised Peter Sissons died. RIP all.
I just thought they retired or employed elsewhere, im surprised to hear they all died 🙏
So many died from cancer. RIP
Not forgetting Harry Gration BBC look North or Tyne Tees Bill Steele Pat Doody
I remember reading that while Carol Barnes was dying in hospital her home was broken into.
Down with MSM.
Did all the lights from the studio work up the Cancer cells, bcos most of these reporters died from cancer 😢
So many die from cancer or a heart attack, very sad
I met David Robin in the 90s, nice guy
Helen Rollason was beautiful 🤔
No back ground music was nice. I can think of them without any disturbances
Omg so many known faces from the TV in my lifetime so far have psssed away
@2:35 Tazeen Ahmad "SHE died ..."
Please give some dignity.
I agree, Toryglen. I found the very brief submission on Tazeen to be overly brief and almost embarrassingly dismissive.
? It was moving far to quick ,I tried as quick as I could to read it all many I
did not even have a chance to complete reading, and hardly saw!
Alistair Yates died aged 65 1952 - 2018.
I remember when Jill Dando was killed I was at my last year of school and the news came on Jill Dando was killed by the stalker and that was really frightening that day.
Mike Morris was missing from that memoriam.
You missed out Steven Chambers (Anglia News) the father of one of my best friends from university. Died in 2002.
Im sure i saw Peter Sissons reading the news just last week. Jheeze is that how fast time is moving!
It's all so silly taking everything so seriously, any second it can just end at any age for anyone us, live for the moment , live , love and laugh each day as if it's your last, I hop that someday we csn combat cancer more effectively RIP to all those passed
Tazeen Ahmad ... "He died..." you could at least check your work before you publish it. Commemorating someone with incorrect information is pretty low.
Why are the 2 Asian women not shown the same level of respect. One being called a "he". The other no explanation of death. Please edit.
What about Reginald Bosanquet, Joan Thirkettle, Richard Widmark and other English reporters who are no longer with us?
RIP
Peter sisson, he was in the same school and I think in same year or class with some of the beetles Paul, John, George. and Jimmy tarbuck.
We shall i sleep better tonight
That's all for now 😢
They gave us news good or bad bless then
Carol barnes daughter , parachute failed to open carol watched her die, never the same
Lifes short. Wheres the 90 year olds and 80 year olds?
Alister Yates??? Think the dates/age are wrong 🤔
I forgot george died 😢😭
Proof- reading needs improvement!
And a lesson in maths too! Alastair Yates was 60 not 65 when he died!
A lot won't have
RUclips isn't always fact
Propaganda pushers
Shocking lack of respect. 😢
Some of the greatest propagandists ever .....
The people who helped fool the world for a salary.
I sincerely hope they don't rest in peace and are rightfully remembered.
👨🏽🎓🙏🏽👼🏽🙏🏽👨🏾🎓
Oh dear ..
