We didn't have TOTP in the states at all and never saw any performances. I loved this song and never saw any of it live or them performing it together, Geri left the band, broke my heart as a kid
Xcuze Her solo career is not comparable to the Spice Girls. She usually had solo parts. And wanted more while being part of the biggest band in the world...I wish they could’ve stayed together. But i know it wasn’t all geri’s fault.

I think people are looking too deep into the camerawork of this. Geri has no solos so she doesn’t get as much camera time, standard practice. I think it’s highly doubtful that she would have requested less camera time.
I think the camerapersons probably just noticed she looked sad and tired... I think if I was filming this performance, and I saw someone barely putting any effort into performing, out of kindness and respect I'd just keep the camera off her. And Geri is matronly dressed here... a far cry from the Union Jack dress or any number of her boustiers with her breasts spilling out of them. She's basically hiding in plain sight.

I don't know if I'm reading too much in to the performance but, Geri was hardly acknowledged in the video. I don't know if that was by request of Geri, knowing she was leaving, just consequence or by other people within production. The focus was much more on the others, even if they weren't singing solos.

Victoria substituted Geri in the single edit and eventually the latter had no solo parts.
