I was able to try this back when it was still available everywhere. Sadly, I don't remember what it tasted like (at least for me), but I can say I enjoyed it. Now I grab Evan Williams Bottled in Bond and 1783 while they are still available. Both very good without breaking the bank.
This was one of my starter-bourbons when I eased into the more high-end bourbons. It's the least expensive single-barrel Kentucky bourbon I've ever tried, and it's great for the price. I prefer the Four Roses Single-Barrel or the Henry McKenna Single-Barrel, but both are about twice the price of the Evan Williams.
My whisky budget is on par with my cigar budget. Although I'll occasionally get a nice scotch, I usually go for bottom shelf bourbon. Evan Williams black label bourbon is usually around $17 a bottle at my local store and it's a totally respectable bourbon. In my opinion it's a great alternative to Jack Daniels which is usually $10 more.
For a similar price point, I prefer the Elijah Craig Small Batch. It makes a good Manhattan too. It's no Old Forester 1920, but it's a good daily drinker.
Evan Williams Single Barrel has 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% barley malt. And a barrel burned on the inside at level # 3.

This is about $23 in the US. Good budget bourbon.

This is an epic crowd pleaser bourbon! Amazing quality for the price.
Nice! I have put in oak at 2008 bottle
Very nice
Sadly this is now a Kentucky Exclusive bottle and no longer in any other market than KY.
We had that here in Sweden for a short while, but I didn't get it. Very steeply priced at €54. So it's wasn't worth that.
very mild
