Looked interesting, for a while. But i'd like to be able to become a lord with castle if i'm effective enough. I don't understand the reasoning behind increasing the rent when you get bigger. Merry christmas.
I think it is something that used to happen (and still does in the states) its called scarcity tax. The more land you own the less there is available to the amount you pay on each plot is more. Not sure whether you can ever become a Lord. I doubt it but you will become castellan of your own settlement
Btw around 12 mins you say you don't know why the taxes go up in a sliding scale? Just fyi that's a system called (here at least) scarcity taxation. It's not the building necessarily but the land. Taxes on the plot of land go up because now there is less land for others to own.

I noticed when I recorded the footage that a wolf ran after a rabbit hahaha. First time I have ever seen it. It must be a really low line of sight compared to wolves vs player
The concept is interesting. But this look terribly tedious, and then bland generic graphics sertainly don't help. It feels like yet another game that doesn't have the budget of it's ambition. It would be interesting if the loop would be shorter and span on several generations. With more AI going into neighboring rival or allied cities that grow with you or at a different pace.
That is my only issue with it. You can reduce the amount of days per season, so in theory you could have a year being only 4 in game days. That would speed up the cycle a lot. It is definitely hampered by low budget but the devs are still working on it so who knows what will come in the future.
