It’s very inspirational to see back to back how they come out the first time and behind them all of these previous winners’ photos, little they know they will be on ‘em next year. Some know they got it, some are little too humble, some worked hard and got better during the process. Beautiful inspirational way of reminding us that it all starts with one short step of trying and it can take us to places we never have imagined. Whoever worked on it, thanks for the edit!
Never watched Kelly's audition or that season of idol( learned of her and the show after) but she was so good and who knew that when she sat in that chair she would end up a judge on a singing show years later. She straight manifested it right there, wow!! I love Carrie, Fantasia, Jordin and Mr. Studdard as well. I didnt see any of their auditions( heard of them after). Havent watched the show in years but really like the current judge line up. Not sure but think I have heard of Scotty M. before( think he is a country artist now if im not mistaken) Wow everything about Just Sam's audition made me cry. She is a beautiful soul with an amazing voice. I love how gentle they were with her and omg the prayer at the end🙌🏾🙌🏾
Different strokes for different folks. I found her generic, but that's just my view. Good singer for sure, but so many contestants are like so many others over the years. But props to all the early contests for singing without any accompaniment - difficult ! And has everyone missed the point? This is a collection of the winners from every year - not a competition between their auditions, so just enjoy it already.
Carrie Underwood was born singer, gifted with gold. The moment she enter in the audition and start singing sparkled her humble personality. But Kelly Clarkson is the legend. Her personality is brilliant, a total package. She carry the best American Idol tittle and reliven those unknown winners.
Among of all, Kelly and Carrie are the best ever produced by all of the winners. They all have their own personalities. But these two ladies, Carrie & Kelly, they both still releven until today.
IMHO, Fantasia is hands down the best! If they were all given the same song to sing, she could switch it up and take it to church! Her raw soul singing gives her the edge over all of them!
Something about how this show changes lives is just so touching. Just imagine if one of these auditions was canceled for some reason. They would all lead completely different lives. Kinda crazy
YES! VERY UNDERATED! I TOLD MY SON AS SOON AS I SAW TAYLOR'S AUDITION, HE WAS GOING TO WIN! HE'S AN AMAZING TALENT. LOVE HIS VOICE, THEN WHEN HE STARTED PLAYING HARMONICA LATER! THAT WAS IT FOR ME! HE'S ONE OF THE BEST. ☺❤
unpopular opinion, but it was annoying. You can't just burst into tears when you audition, you need to have poise. That is what Simon was there for, to tell the truth and keep it real. The judges are such pansies now, they play right into those sad background stories. And they don't tell people the truth when they sing badly (like Lucy Love in the current season), just keep telling them they're winners.
Carrie Underwood has such a beautiful voice. She also has the personality to go with it. She’s still as down to earth as she was on her first interview ❤
I love Taylor Hicks! Chris was too predictable and just like so many others, while Taylor was unique and interesting and super talented. He was never given his due, because Simon didn't want him to win in the first place.
Just Sam, if you're reading this, you broke my heart and repaired it in the time you were on our screens. Those of us given up by our parents all feel like you, it's hard to let others in when those who were supposed to love us unconditionally didn't. I'm 45 later this year and these feelings never go away, but they can and do become less frequent when I started letting others in. I'm glad you are making your way through life on a good note. Much love and respect to you young lady.
BLESS YOUR HEART 💙 VERY SWEET WORDS. I HOPE YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE ALL THE LOVE YOU DESERVE. YOU ARE SUCH A KIND & LOVING SOUL. I WISH YOU ALL THE HAPPINESS LIFE HAS TO OFFER. SENDING YOU LOVE & HUGS 🤗 STAY BLESSED 🙏💙
I like the original format. There shouldn't be any in-depth back stories until the final 12 is announced. All you need to do now to go through is say "I was bullied," and the judges fall all over themselves to vote you through to Hollywood. I was truly bullied, so much that as an adult it is still hard to enter a high school, but it doesn't define me or get me favors like it does these auditioners.
Here in southeast asia, Kelly Clarkson is well-known. Her songs are staple contest and karaoke piece. A Moment Like This, Because of You, Already Gone... Carrie had some hit here, Jesus Take The Wheel, Blown Away (maybe)... Some winners have 1 known song here Fantasia with "I Believe", Jordin with "No Air", Philip Philips with "Gone, Gone, Gone", and David Cook with "Come Back To Me" Some AI Alums that made a name here were David Archueleta, Jessica Sanchez, Adam Lambert, and Daughtry.

She has the most amazing unique voice of all the years
Her story is absolutely amazing! She went all the way through American idol and never knew how to read. She was trying to sneak and learn how to read while she was on the show and she win. She had so much against her and she won. So I have to say Good job to her. Now on the flip side. I dont like her music but Im a rock girl and I would prefer someone like Chris Daughtry. But I still have great respect for Fantasia.
@@ZishPOE ... Do you even listen to that type of music that’s literally how they are supposed to sound. It definitely is not nails on a chalkboard sounding .
I don't really like her voice.
I remember my whole family sitting down watching American idol, praying for fantasia💕💕
Powerful fam getting her to the top 💛
Fantasia's was the best audition for me. A different rendition she made to Killing Me Softly was awesome!!!
Yeah you could hear all the music with her
She did the fugees version but she was absolutely stunning.
My thoughts at exactly 💯
Different strokes for different folks. I found her generic, but that's just my view. Good singer for sure, but so many contestants are like so many others over the years. But props to all the early contests for singing without any accompaniment - difficult ! And has everyone missed the point? This is a collection of the winners from every year - not a competition between their auditions, so just enjoy it already.
Least favorite.
Why is no one talking about Phillips Phillips, hes audition was awesome
Agreed. That dude felt the music. I am sure he has worked very hard, but he makes it looks like it comes easily-- just a natural.
I literally checked the comments just for this
Wow! I had never heard of him and just saw his audition. Amazing!
He's fantastic in concert as well
True. I really loved it. Sooo cool 😎
Carrie Underwood was born singer, gifted with gold. The moment she enter in the audition and start singing sparkled her humble personality. But Kelly Clarkson is the legend. Her personality is brilliant, a total package. She carry the best American Idol tittle and reliven those unknown winners.
Just Sam watching your audition made the years flow down my face. I could feel your pain and your faith at the same time. God bless you!
Agreed! Kelly's got it all from the start! She's awesome!❤️
Among of all, Kelly and Carrie are the best ever produced by all of the winners. They all have their own personalities. But these two ladies, Carrie & Kelly, they both still releven until today.
Adam Lambert is now the lead singer of Queen…
@@cashetteHe also technically didn't "win" the competition (He should've though.)
Carrie always sings like she's screaming when she hits high notes. She's good, but not great.
@@kevinwilliamc5244 agreed! She doesn’t deserve any of the fame she has and she’s really let that fame go to her head.
David Cook was super talented! Went head to head with David Archuleta, but David Cook had that rock raspy voice going for him and I love him for it!
I was a David Cook fan from day one. He’s so good.
Same here. He was my fave from the beginning of that season. He adapted all the songs to his style that he performed during the live shows.
It's so cool seeing them end up on the backdrop as the video progresses.
Just a brilliant presentation. Real talent shows through almost immediately. Kelly Clarkson was incredible.
Jordan Sparks - now that’s a voice. At 16 she was exactly as sweet as she needed to be!
Justice for Candice Glover she did not get the Star treatment she deserves. Absolutely Beautiful voice
Kelly Clarkson, all around best!! This girl can sing and is a natural performer!!
Please could you do every American Idol Runner Up!
That would be great!!! I really remember Bo Bice, the runner up to Carrie Underwood. I thought he was gonna win!! I wonder what he's up too now.
Clay Aiken.
Adam Lambert!!
Diana degarmo
Kathryn McPhee
Chrystal bowersox
Justin guarini
David archuletta
Lauren Alaina
yeah like Jessica Sanchez
Just Sam you have the best audition I've heard on this show out of all auditions ever. Your voice is amazing and so are you.
Kinda crazy
Man, Lionel Richie is a truly great human being
FRIENDS series finale aired here in England the same night the Idol finale did the year Fantasia won. I spent the whole night crying
🤣 that is a crime
Taylor Hicks was very underated. Did you know he was never in the bottom three. Saw him in concert and he was awesome.
Right! Simon says he won't make it when the public votes🤣
@@katymcginn4644 That's exactly what I said after he auditioned! Love his voice!
i disagree he is the worst winner in my opinion daughtry should have won
Scotty is so damn talented. “Five More Minutes” always has me in tears wishing I had 5 more with my granddaddy each time I hear it.
I like his engagement song, too!
Phillip Phillips is still my all time favorite - like a young Dave Matthews, fancy footwork and all ❤️
I literally love Kelly Clarkson she is so funny and she has such a bubbly personality and she is so unique!
Just Sam made me cry!!!! Omg!!! Beautiful!!! Lionel Richie is so sweet!!! 💕
unpopular opinion, but it was annoying.
I don’t see her as down to Earth! She is rude to fans. Many people who meet her say she seems uninterested and like she wants to get away from them.
Fantasia never fails to induce goosebumps.
she was the worst winner lol
@@Btash97 to each their own, my friend.
@@Kayla1992can’t be mad some people
Don’t got no soul. Fantasia got the voice of an angel
My absolute favorite is Kelly's audition. Funny, fabulous and authentically Kelly!!
and i think she was able to be more relaxed since american idol wasnt really a "thing" yet
This kind of videos sure make people realize that celebrities are just normal people with amazing jobs
Jordan Sparks was born to be a star! That girl can sang!
And omg that head voice at that age. Iconic
And wasn't Jordan Sparks at one point part of Britney Spears The circus starring Britney Spears tour?
I loved her from the beginning and predicted she would win.
I'm still sore about Season 5.
Taylor Hicks is a doll, but Chris Daughtry should've won.
agreed!! i've seen daughtry in concert 3x!!
Fantasia killed it. Love her voice.
Get her latest album Sketchbook
Holy shit this show has changed lmao walk in sing yes or no gtfo, today it's literally a drama series 😂 i love it though 😂😂
SO TRUE now all these talent competition shows are soap operas oml
I can't stand to watch any of them now.
Bring back reality tv without the drama and sob stories honestly.
My favorite audition was Jordin but Kelly is the first and best idol ever.
I love Scotty's voice he almost sounds like instruments.
Jordin’s been doing this since 16. she’s set forever. and her stage presence was amazing
Fantasia’s voice gives me chills! 🥰
She was set before she was born, her dad played in the nfl for 9 years and was actually a good football player.
It’s almost like Kelly Clarkson knew she was gonna be famous lol
Ya think
She went to LA to launch her career, and didn’t make it, but American Idol launched her career for her.
Kelly’s audition gave me chills! Beautiful.
I love them all but Jordan Sparks literally made me choke up , very moving ✨
Ruben shouting out his whole family is so sweet. He had no idea what was coming ❤️
Paula telling Fantasia to watch her pitch is insane. She was pitch perfect. Didn’t miss a note.
I forgot just how good she was until I watched this. Anyone know what she's up to now?
Facts ... I'm looking like 😦
@@liba She has been on Broadway and won a Tony. She is, probably, the 3rd most successful winner along with Jordan Sparks.
WAS JUST THINKING THIS EXACT THING 🤣
@@liba her PTSD song is a bop!
Just Sam. She sends shivers. She is so outstanding. She feels safe when her grandma hugs her.
I hope she got rid if that neck tattoo. She’s absolutely amazing but that neck tattoo is such a turnoff
Aw look at how Kelly swapped places with randy & was a judge. To her being an actual judge on the voice today ❤️
Kelly Clarkson remains as my all time favourite American Idol winner. She's absolutely wonderful, fantastic and I really, really like her.
Great fun to see all the American Idols.
Jordin sparks was amazing
Great talent.
Candice Glover gives me head to toe CHILLS! What a powerful and expressive voice! Incredible!
Agreed. It's really too bad a truly good producer didn't get a hold of her. Or if American Idol would actually promote their talent.
Her cover of love song is the best American idol performance of all time
@@jareddepew1467 I agree!
I wonder what happened to her??
Last audition made me cried !
And
That’s how you make your name
For yourself!!!!
When you think you watched every season but then you realize there's a handful of winners you've never heard of
