The best part - they actually used the classical music and the costume throughout the whole dance. I was afraid she was gonna do what always happens in the Talent shows - person starts dancing or playing classical music, everybody acts bored, then they drop the bass, pop music starts blasting, the classical dance turns into something else entirely and the crowd goes wild. So glad they didnt bait it with this one. It looks beautiful

I love how much respect you have for us pole dancers. Most of us come from a traditional dance background with many of us having left traditional dance because of industry *trauma*. But then we also run into traditional dancers who look down on pole because of its ties to s*x work so it's just all around sad when people can't be equally happy for each other in their chosen art form

She's my 'pole-rina' idol (pole dancer + ballerina = pole-rina!) Her white swan routine was a guest performance at the UK Professional Pole Championships - I watched it live and she's even more stunning in person, if that's possible!! She originally danced with the National Ballet of Canada and just oozes class and elegance - such a beautiful dancer 😍

I think this is just redefining pole dancing as an art. It’s like taking ballet and putting it on levels on each turn around the pole. Like taking the stage to the air.
I love this I could watch it all day.

Pole dancers are insanely strong and graceful. Ballet is such a good pairing for it. She is really amazing. I love when combined genres result in something so wonderful.

That's absolutely insane! I already thought ballet was difficult, but just recently (this past Monday!) began taking classes myself and watching this now feels like she achieved the impossible. It's so easy to misjudge the amount of strength required to do what she does, more so when she makes it look easy and always has a smile on her face. So inspiring!
Also, as a side note - thank you for creating this channel, Josephine (as well as everyone involved behind the scenes)! Learning ballet is something I wanted to do ever since I was a child, and it was a dream I had given up already because being 27 it felt too old to start, but finding out about you and watching some of your videos these days gave me the push I needed to go after it. So far, I'm pretty bad at it but I enjoy it a lot!

I’ve been WAITING for this forever.!!! I’m a dancer (spicy dancer/wannabe ballerina) and I started wearing my pointe shoes at work about a year ago (the club lol) and I enjoy it so sooo much.! I don’t have anyone to partner with me, so I figured the pole would give me a fair start at learning some new, fun, and challenging moves, and possibly create something new.. I’m so happy that you did a reaction video to her.! she’s incredibly talented.! I discovered her during work one day, desperately looking for inspiration.. her passion, artistry, and strength has motivated me to not only explore my creativity in dance, but also to change my lifestyle.. I’ve gotten healthier, started working on dance at home, taking barre at home, working en pointe any chance I can and I truly believe I’ve learned and grown so much from it.! I’m far from being half decent, but the joy and excitement is worth it all.! honestly, I’ve been dealing with a continuous spiral of depression, and unfortunately I still am.. thankfully , work and ballet continues to give me something almost indescribable.. it’s more than something to look forward to, it’s more than just a fun time; more so discipline and patience over everything, as well as self motivation, determination, strength (mentally & physically,) and the ability to find and develop artistry.. as well as a broad community of amazing people, mentors, role models, future, current, and retired dancers, teachers, choreographers, musicians, adult dancers, professional or not, ballet companies around the world, and the amazing pointe shoe fitters like you and your team who give someone like myself the ability to dance happy and safely.. I’m so incredibly thankful for people like you that not only create awesome , entertaining content, but share experiences and educate all of us.! you’re truly a gem.! 💎✨💕

The show in the second half is called "Beat the Best" it's a dutch tv-show from 2012 that aired only 9 episodes. The premise is that candidates compete against each other in three catagories: music, dance and ~variety~ (whatever that means). Turns out it wasn't very popular because it never continued after that first season.

👏👏Brava! 👏👏She took her talent in each discipline, ballet and pole dancing, and combined and elevated her routine. It was stunning. The impact of a pole routine would be different without the story and techniques on the ballet and pointe side, just as I think the pole skills and strengths allowed Ms. Gibson to create beautiful illusions that the swans actually fly. This was artistry, creativity, and darn hard work paying off.

She don’t need a man to partner when she got a pole 👏🏻 she’s so insanely strong 💪🏻 she absolutely has to work so hard. Good for her! Especially in point shoes on the pole. Usually you want grip because it’s slippery and that’s why pole dancers wear very little. To grip the pipe. And to be sexy of course. But especially for the grip. So if they’re also wearing tights. Omg. So slippery! 👏🏻 amazing jobs
