Do you know if hummingbird is coming out with a new generation? I was wondering if I should wait over the winter months to see if something new comes out before I buy a helix
I have a Ranger Cayman so I fish fresh and salt water. I currently have mega live on a free standing mount I made since my saltwater Terrova is not compatible and I have not seen a saltwater version of any compatible motor. I am wondering if you can see a way to mount this close to but separate from the trolling motor on the bow? Hard to tell from the photos and videos I’ve seen so far. Haven’t seen any “hacks” for the Terrova or other Saltwater series motor.
Nice. I hope so. I currently have my Mega Live on a modified Minn Kota bracket and hinge assembly for a transom mount and an old motor shaft I had. But I can’t find an install video on the new target system to get an idea of what mod might be possible. Please let me know if you see or hear from anyone that’s a little more ahead of this than I am. They did tell me that it was “fully saltwater compatible” when I called before ordering it. They just left out the part about not being compatible with any of the saltwater series motors.
So the question only you will find out the answer to is... can I make this work with my helix si+ g4n 10 but using my motor guide xi3 and my mega 360 unit universal mount?
This should work as long as you have a HELIX 9 MSI G2N unit. humminbird.johnsonoutdoors.com/accessories/transducers/xm-9-20-msi-t-transom-helix-mega-si-mega-di-transducer
Doesn’t look like it will work with a dual stack head unit. Doesn’t appear to be enough clearance for a Bass Boat Technology dual stack mount with two Helix 12’s for an example.
That's possible in certain boats. I'm sure all the tournament guys with stacked units were taken into consideration but ya never know. Does look like it takes up a good amount of space especially with the 360 and targetlock installed together
Or be cool like me and buy a kayak and put livescope and a spotlock trolling motor and have livescope on a pvc pole next to my seat. I spent $6k for everything.
Its interesting that Garmin has no issues shipping products, but Humminbird could take years before they are ready to ship.
Can this be used with the Ulterra self deploying trolling motors?
It's about time HB came our with something.
Yes sir it can and you are right it's about time they came up with something clever like this.

It appears to be only compatible with the Ultrex trolling motor. Is that correct?
Our of the box yes but there will be a universal mount kit from what I've been told

Great question. seems like terrova is left behing. Ultrex only. Not very foward thinking !
Supposedly there will be a universal mount from what I've heard but don't hold me to it

You should be ok but I'm not for certain. I'm not too familiar with the xi3. Def have no problem running it with your helix 10
@@HumminbirdHelp thanks for the reply my friend.
Can I put a transducer that will do down Imaging and Side Imaging on my Helix 9 gen 2 ?

Looks like you need two units, everything I seen with people using it has Target lock on on screen and Mega 360 on another
Yes it seems to be common practice running multiple screens these days

it is too heavy, I can not get it in the water.

Innovation means nothing if you can’t supply the products, they can’t get graphs out let alone new stuff.
Yep unfortunate that goes for alot of things this last year. It will catch up. I'm in the trades and we r having a hard time getting half our products
