lol yup! Thought is a top tier MC for 3 decades now. No, these are all songs of his. I believe the song list is somewhere in the comments. But if you want to see some real, made up on the spot rhymes, you gotta check this equally amazing show. Common is the king of that! ruclips.net/video/2uFfVkXH0no/видео.htmlsi=lVSm6gX-scsGZm_y

I was about to buy a ticket for his up-coming show in my town. Now that I see Mr. Glasper would give over 30 mins to a rapper...screw everyone who came to hear jazz/Robert's band play for a FULL set, and paid a nice sum to hear it. After seeing this, I'm really disappointed . I play bass and still think a 15 min bass solo is too much. He played amazingly well but... Mr.Glasper just blew too much time on his indulgences when he should have been giving the people rehearsed material.
You just have to know which shows to pick. His October residency has usually 5 or 6 different arrangements to choose from. In this case, the show was marketed as a Glasper/Black Thought show, so we knew what we were getting. For your interest, I’d suggest the shows that are just him and his band. This year, that’s Oct 2,5&6 and Oct 23,24&27. Check my page to see some of his jazz-only shows from last year, like the “original trio” show.
@@NYCHipHopAndJazzConcerts Thanks for your assistance. The three Jan. dates in my town are billed just Robert Glasper. I'll reference a YT show vid with him and a band to see what to expect. For eighty five bucks it would really piss me off if he gave his time to a rapper. Thanks again.
What's so special about these guys ...nothing they just play instruments ..nothing like they are saving lives brain surgeions or something that important they just ...play...
You sound ridiculous. You want to see videos of brain surgery instead? What are you even doing on a concert page if you’re not here for music? Go somewhere else
Suppose we had a system in which every person pursued only 'important' professions that directly related to life preservation, such as brain surgeons and doctors. We'd all extend our lifespans until 100 years old, and we'd rarely see premature deaths. But then what? What would we all do with our time? Sit around and just wait for the inevitability of our mortality? We need things like art, music, movies, cuisine and sports so that we're actually living, not merely surviving.
Wow! Thanks for the upload, I will be listening to this all week! HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!!
This is TALENT personified. Glasper should be nicknamed The Maestro. 😏
