french open semi final with half the seats empty? what a shame.
Definitely the French crowd showing they didn't find these two a tantalising semi-final match. It seems tough with stands being so empty but people have their favourites:\ While the Sinner-Alcaraz match was jam-packed 😲and what a match it was.

Guys I know this sucks but the reality is the stadium is 95% full. They just build is horribly wrong. The front seats are those for the invited companies so people don't show up and eat at the restaurant. The tennis fans are sitting above those and believe me everyone is watching🎉 ( I was there at the begining of Ruud zverev Match and after 20 minutes everyone was back watching)
Sascha's backhand is such a lethal weapon, what a masterpiece!

This could really be the first grand slam title for Zverev.. would be deserved even if it’s going to be a hard match against Alcaraz

He is probably playing better than anyone else in this tournament. Very solid. however Alcaraz has these beast mode moments in which he becomes unstoppable. Let's see on Sunday. It's going to be an interesting match.

Ruud fought until the end and gave it all. So proud of him.
I think it's Sascha's time to finally get his hands on a GS trophy! His tennis is more convincing than Carlos's tbh. Just too many silly errors from Alcaraz. We know Zverev is a choke-artist in slams, so that's why it's 50-50. While Carlos usually wins his finals. But Zverev looks as focused as ever right now. Whoever wins, i'll be equally glad. They both deserve it!

Bummer that Ruud was ill. Such a great first set by him. Nice second set from Zverev. Injury messed up what would have been a wonderful battle.
Well, that‘s part of the game. Zverev is not responsible for Ruud‘s health or fitness. That happens every day on tennis courts worldwide. And: It‘s not easy to play against an opponent who shows signs of sickness or injury (Just ask Cerundolo, Lendl and many others).

I'd say Zverev's game determined the outcome anyways. When he is on top of his game, he is really hard to beat (which rarely happens, but in this match it did after set 1).
@@HaleG9total BS, the 1st set proved that Ruud could easily have won this. Already in set 2 he lost speed and power and started to hit the balls short. We were robbed of a great match.
zverev has been FORMIDABLE throughout this tournament. playing against carlos will definitely be a battle!!

@@selcukcilek555 was ein quatsch. Es wird natürlich ein brutal schweres Match aber "keine schnitte" ist einfach Unsinn. Zverev kann alcaraz auf der ganz großen Bühne schlagen was er sowohl bei den Australien open dieses Jahr, als auch bei den French open vor zwei Jahren gezeigt hat.

Just brilliant from Sasha compared to being carted off in a wheelchair 2 years ago. Hes moving and playing so well. So strong. I suffer with ankle pain. I'd love to know what his recovery exercises were. What a fighter. Such a lovely looking forehand too. One of my favourite forehands on tour. Loved watching Zverev for years.
I’ve said it since the first round and still believe it now. Zverev is winning this title.

Zverev's backhand was on another level today! Dude hits back-to-back winners down the line so consistently. I hope he will reach his first GS title, absolutely deserved it. (Although bad story with gf but in the terms of sport he ofc deserved it)

There will be so much shouting, screaming and grunting in the final that I'm suprised if someone's hair won't turn long and blue
I noticed that Sverev has a fair grunt, in the sense that his grunt is sharp and short, ending before the ball crosses the net, and allowing his opponent the opportunity to take his short in silence, which is fair, without still hearing the opponents grunt. Whereas if you note Sabalenka's scream\grunt, it trails well beyond the ball crossing the net and can still be heard rather loudly while her opponents are about to make their short. It's just an observation:)))

@@TeambrutalDeluxe Sascha is the common nickname for Alexander in Russian. His parents are Russian born and he was called Sascha by more or less everybody from when he was born. Like Bobby for Robert or Max for Maximilian, etc.

Thanks Zverev for eliminating Ruud in the semi finals although he had two days more without playing. At the end this seems very unfair because Djokovice gave him the last round as present so at the end Ruud wouldn't win a grand slam, only 6/7 of a grand slam.
