Oh to be 5 years old again rolling my Party Wagon across the floor on Christmas Morning hunting down the Foot Clan. Feels like 1989 was just Yesterday.
With all the wear and tear on the inside, you'd think they would've Incorporated some of that on the outside; a nick here, scrap there. The outside gives a very Little Tikes impression. It looks like blow molded plastic, something that would cost around the $20-$30 range...you just have to look a little deeper to see the value [but not $500 value].
That's so freakin' awesome with the owner's manual and keychain. What would've been icing on the cake is a key to the van, with a turtle shell incorporated. I only wanted one van, and I'm all about toon accuracy, so it was an easy choice for me with what to get. But objectively speaking, this is by far the cooler product. And like so many are saying, always good to never pay full price for super7, 'cause it'll always come down. But if I was more into the Playmates aesthetics, I still would've paid the full price when it went out for pre-order.

@@vadoraid2517 For sure! Like it broke my heart to pass on the NECA sewer lair. Didn't have a choice with it being a horrible time to put that out; then the $300 price went to $350 - plus shipping. Gotta take a stand towards overpriced piss poor decisions at some point.
I don't have the underground arsenal version, and while I've had a shipping label from NECA for their van since September, it has yet to actually ship out. :(
Side note: the back end engine compartment can’t open or close if you have the winch attached to the rear bumper. Also, attaching or removing the winch from the bumper immediately starts scratching off the gray paint.

What's worth it to one person may not be worth it to another. It's also hard to judge the value of something today with the prices inflating at a rate I've never seen in my lifetime. When an Ultimate was $45 a figure, I think an item of this size and quality could be justifiable around $350 at that point in time. Now we're in this weird place where the price keeps going up, where we have Ultimates that are retail $75, yet we also have an overabundance of figures sitting on shelves unsold, and getting fire sold as low as $13 that I've seen. That causes a lot of concern over the pricing of everything in regards to the line. I don't have a good answer as to whether at $500 it's worth the money. I don't know what $500 is worth from one month to the next. My auto insurance 6 month renewal just went up $500 for no reason. My HoA went up $250/yr. My Escrow payments went up $1000/yr. Anyways.. that's part of a much larger discussion. Simple answer: For those who have $500 to burn, and enjoy the S7 Ultimate line, then yes, it's worth it to them.
I'm sure the NECA has its good points as well. It has the battery powered lights, and the actual gunner seat. I just hope NECA/Fedex gets it to me soon.
It's alright but I still don't see why this is $500. Underground Arsenal is much better and really the best one out of all three. Although Neca's is the most cartoon accurate if that is what you are after.
Wow! What a piece of junk. Saw one in person today at my local comic book store and cannot believe what they charged for THIS! UA and NECA’s vans both blow this out of the water. Not sure what has happened to Super 7 but they have become the worst overpriced toy company out there. If you’re happy with it I’m glad for you- but just confirms to me to avoid anything S7 going forward.

Super7 itself is pricey, a discount would still not compare to other lines with better sculpt and articulation, imo.

You might be confusing this with the Playmates mass retail version. This one right here costs $500 and that is if you can find it at retail.

$500 ain’t nothing to some people. I got one of these on a whim 👍
