Recycling Extravaganza - April 2024

The City of Overland Park hosted one of two annual Recycling Extravaganza events at the Black & Veatch Campus.
Recycle and donate items not collected by routine curbside recycling that may otherwise end up in a landfill. Whether you have electronic gadgets gathering dust, gently used clothing taking up space in your closet, or old tires taking over your garage, Recycling Extravaganza is an opportunity to declutter your home sustainably.
Disposal + Recycling (these items are subject to change):
Medications
Tires (up to eight tires per visitor)
Electronics and small appliances (weighing less than 10 pounds) Please note that there is a $20 fee per television.
Reuse + Donate:
Items must be in good condition.
Clothing
Building materials
Toys
Furniture
Eyeglasses
Musical instruments (excluding pianos, organs, or drums)
Shoes
Fabric and knitting/crochet supplies
Bikes
Pet supplies
Solar eclipse glasses (undamaged)
