In this video, I'll show you to how to use the Duplicate Stitch to add letters, designs, logos or pictures to pieces made with circular knitting machines, such as the AddiExpress or Sentro knitting machines. The Duplicate Stitch is a very common technique used in hand knitting, and the concept is the same with knitting machines-however, because many knitting machine pieces are double layered (knit in the round), I'll give some tips specific to working with circular knit pieces.

This is one of the reasons why I wanted a knitting machine. To get the hats made super quickly so I could work on adding a design or cute emblem/character using duplicate stitch.
Exactly! Is there a way to remedy that and have it stretch out less? Maybe use thicker yarn? Any suggestions would be welcome!

Where can I get duplicate stitch designs?
What is your experience with fair isle knitting with the knitting machine? I've done a lot of fair isle hand knit hats, but on the machine it looks like it would be super annoying to leave any long strand of yarn in there.. would you suggest just switching by cutting like normal?
Are your gloves made specifically for crafting? I have allergies to dyes in the yarn. I think it would help if I had some gloves to protect my skin.

Hi Karen! No, they are just regular "driving gloves" I think is the name. I use them to help keep the camera in focus (I film my own videos so it can be hard to keep the camera in focus). But I'm sure they do protect my skin from the yarn too!

Hi, could you please do a tutorial on how to make a hat with the hole for your hair to go through at the top??
It's easy. Just don't close that hole as much as you normally would. Leave it open then stitch both sides together to reinforce it. There are videos on yt to show you.
