Accuracy Update: So Spinosaurus has gotten even more convoluted. A nearly complete tail was found that was paddle shaped and built for locomotion in the water. The points I brought up in the video for why it couldn't swim well or dive were also under harsher scrutiny then I thought and weren't nearly as proven knowledge as I thought. So Spinosaurus WAS probably built to swim.

But were there any giraffe dinosaurs? m.ruclips.net/video/xaQJbozY_Is/видео.html
@@110100111000 Large pterosaurs were moving toward a grazing/non-flying lifestyle as evidenced by the largest species being unable to take off on their own, and needing to cliff dive to get any lift at all. So, yes!
I've lived my whole life thinking raptor had something to do with slashing and tearing apart flesh. This changes everything.
To be fair though, fossil evidence contradicts the pursuit model for spinos and eitherr doesn’t contradict or supports a mire crane like hunting style. They still swam but they didn’t use swimming in hunting behaviour (the adults anywya, we have no idea what the babies would have done)
You forgot about the hadrosaurs' T H I C C tails O-O
Birds are phylogenetically dinosaurs, so that means that the closest dinosaur to a duck is, infact, a duck.
"its hard to argue with his assessment"
Yeah alright. Useless letters. Ducks are my favourite fish. Monkeys are my favourite fish.
@@ekszentrik monke
@@ekszentrik nah man i get what ur sayin but dividing up birds from other dinosaurs makes way less sense than not doing that. i mean look at halszkaraptor up there, this is not a fish monkey kind of situation
@@ekszentrik birds are in the dinosaur clade Is what he’s saying. monkeys aren’t in a fish clade their in the mammal clade.
I was expecting a duck to be the most ducklike dinossaur in the end
It is, speaking phylogenetically.
If it looks like a duck. Sounds like a duck. It might actually be a non avian dinosaur.
But it might also be an extant avian dinosaur.
It may just be a duck.
I'll never get over hearing the strange tale of the Spinosaurus.
Yes and it changes all the time
Have you ever heard the tradegy of spinosaurus the wise?
You might find the ***TAIL** of spinosaurus strange too
@@cryptidskin1002 I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking of this pun
It gets weirder when you realize it actually is aquatic
I was waiting for Deinocheirus so bad, especially at the: "Mongolian dinosaur"
Seriously, dude ignoring our beloved camel duck.
Ha, me too. I had just watched the Eons episode about it.
Ducks are, in fact, among the many avian dinosaurs alive today.

It's weird to think that anyone that has pet birds really have pet dinosaurs. Blows my mind.
@@Ieatpaste23 Not really dinosaurs
@@mr.hazamayukiterumi2909 yes they are 👍
@@mr.hazamayukiterumi2909 they are unambiguously dinosaurs. They are theropods, more specifically coelurisaurs, more specifically maniraptors. Hence the terms "avian dinosaur" and "non-avian dinosaur" being used now.
If carncinization is crustaceans repeatedly evolving into crabs there should also be a term for dinosaurs repeatedly evolving into ducks

Carcinization comes from the Greek word for crab, and the Greek for duck is pápia, so papification?

As a fan of spinosaurus I have to say I always find it funny it seems every Spino video has outdated information in 6 months, It's been a wild ride keeping an eye on how they develop.
@cartoonistlouis773 I mean it basically is.
Also, ducks just.. Are dinosaurs. The ability to become ducklike is in the avian dinosaur toolkit. So it makes sense that even when the non avian dinosaurs go extinct, the remaining dinosaurs would fill similar niches with their genetic toolkit.
"a hundred tonne wall of flesh will always be hard to fight"
Uh, no. Once you get hardmode gear, like wings and chlorophyte bullets, the Wall of Flesh is *incredibly* easy, actually.
Is that a terraria reference
@@dead_dude5248 :D
Your terraria comment will not go unnoticed
If proper prep is taken in PreHardmode, WOF can also be quite easy.
Granted you need a flat running platform that goes all the way across hell and possibly 200 fallen stars and a Star Cannon, but hey it’s only a bit of grinding :D
To beat it easily in prehardmode just defeat queen bee for some bee grenades or make Molotov cocktails to kill the tendrils then use a mini shark with a lot of ammo to kill it you just need to have a flat platform or if you’re lucky and have a massive pool of lava you can get potions to walk on it
Clearly the last one is just a product of a time traveling duck getting busy with a very kinky raptor
The blue and white version of the last one looks more like a grebe than a duck.
No matter if you are a T.rex, a 100 ton wall of flesh will always be hard to fight.

Okay I’m upset that the best dinosaur every, Dienocheirus, wasn’t mentioned. It was literally a giant duck with big claws.
I was thinking the exact same thing, I was so excited to hear about my favourite big duck
When you imagine them as giant geese they sound a lot less harmless
Especially if they were just as cranky
I just finished all your videos in 1 sitting. I need more. Keep it up.
looks like spinosaurus just got even EVEN weirder this year with its tail/flipper
Ringo the parasaurolophus with zebra stripes- was always my favorite
Goodness. This is quite the duck dinosaur dynasty here
Since birds are dinosaurs, the duck-iest dinosaur should be the duck!
i got my eyes dilated earlier and oh my god my screens too bright but I just found this channel and it is so worth the pain lol
Wear your glasses.
"Everyone Love ducks"
Duck Hunters: *Laughs In Gun*.
Ask any duck hunter if they love ducks and see what their answer is; ducks are delicious and can be cooked several interesting ways.
@@thunderhammerx2966 anyone who hunts duck undoubtedly has great love and respect for ducks as a species and not just food
@@YuriTarrdid The best way to cook wild duck is by following these steps.
1: Marionate the duck in a bag for not less than 3 days.
2: Throw the bag, with the duck in it, in the trash
3. Order pizza.
I absolutely love your channel! Can't wait for more!
"...the Ringo Starr of dinosaurs." spit take, lol.
“Boring saltine cracker of a person…” is the line that got me!
Isn’t deinocheirus a giant duck ornithomimus with killer claws?
"The Ringo Starr of dinosaurs" 😂🤣
As someone living in a state with a hadrosaur for a state dinosaur, I concur, duck dinos are the most magnificent creatures to ever walk the earth.
Nowadays, Spinosaurus is more like a Shoebill Crocodile... And that is Goddamn Badasss
I love Hadrosurs ♡
My top is:
Saurolophus
Magnapaulia
Shantungosaurus
Parasaurolophus
Edmontosaurus
Olorotitan
Thank you so much for this video ♡
Ducks are the most duck-like of all dinosaurs.
Good video, but creepy. I was reaching for a saltine cracker, and guess what. That’s right, freaky timing. Aside from that, I got the information I needed. Thanks!
thanks for another great video, definitely one of the best paleontology channels out there.
Missed the Deinocheirus!
Idc what anyone says JP3 was great as a kid and it still holds up.
Monty python, beautiful! I love this channel even more!
Are Donald Duck and his friends and relations, like Huey, Louie, and Dewey, and Daisy Duck, and Scrooge McDuck, all actually dinosaurs?

In this weekend's episode of *Duck Dino-sty..*
I really like TBM. He has good information, is slyly humorous and the selection of music (in this case, flutes or recorders [Renaissance or Baroque]) is fine.
Thanks 4 recommending this youtube
I think ducks are the ultimate duck dinosaurs as all birds are dinosaurs.
it's honestly a crime I haven't binged your channel yet
Deinocheirus: "Am I a joke to you?"
Great video!
The only Duck Dynasties I care about

we discovered a dinosaur called "natovenator" which was a dromaeosaur that would swim and hunt fish
That is seriously the most bird like non-bird I have ever seen.
ringo starr is my favorite beatle lol.
p.s. my pre-roll ad was the dawn commercial where they clean ducks ^.^
the monty python clip was just perfection *chef's kiss*
I got so excited when i Heard "poatching" till i got greeted by the most ducky dinosaur yet still dissapointed from lack of the terrible claw
They're actually so cute I have a duck dinosaur toy and I actually have 2 and I like them.
I love this video xxxx
When part 2?
Good video
I cannot verbally express my sheer love and adoration for Parasaurolophus.
My little, little heart jumps out of my chest whenever I am graced with a picture of this marvelous beast. Nothing can truly encompass my love for this creature. Their sheer size, shape, sound and mind have done nothing but consume my very soul since I was but a young boy at the age of 4. I remember seeing a decal on a dinosaur cookie bucket, depicting a watering hole filled to the brim with creatures big and small from the times long past. Amongst these creatures were, Parasaurolophus. I fell in love. I do not know what it specifically was, but everything about this estranged creature my eyes behold me called to me, called to my soul. I **needed** to see this creature with my own eyes. I **needed** this creature to come back to life. Just so I may have a mere chance, a smidgen of an opportunity to meet one for myself. I don't think you understand how much I love this dinosaur. I would kill for this dinosaur. I would watch the life drain from a man's eyes just for the small chance to see a Parasaurolophus in the flesh. Hell, not even just in the flesh, just in person. I would end a man's life, steal him from his family, do the job myself, reap the consequences of my actions all for the **chance** to see this marvelous, majestic, magical, momentous, monumental beast. Parasaurolophus, how I love you so.
>duck-like dinosaurs
>spinosaurus
My mans straight up forgot what crocodiles are.
This was quite the duck dinosaurs dynasty
I thought the "Velociraptors" in Jurassic park were Utahraptors.
At the time they were closest to deinonychus really
They were supposed to be Deinonychus, which used to be called Velociraptor when the book was written.
When the movie was made, Deinonychus was considered a unique genus again but they decided to stick with the other name and also made them a little bigger.
Utaraptor had not been described at the time but apparently the claws of the jp raptors are based on the claw fossil of Utaraptor.
By the way, Utaraptor was actually a little bit bigger than jp raptors.
The raptors is JP are indeed very unlike actual dinosaurs, mostly because they’re man-made frog-dinosaur chimeras that ought not bear resemblance to real dinosaurs owing to the fact that they’re hideous lab creations that defy the laws of nature. They’re not really supposed to to be accurate dinosaurs even in the world of the movies. They’re sort of dinosaur-like unique animals.
Unfortunately, most people don't know this.
Wouldn't the bane of fossil's existence be allied bombing raids technically?
Cause you know, museums have such a huge military offensive potential.......
@@doctordragon9798 Hate Hitler all you want, but you are missing the point. Was terror bombing a downtown cultural center/ museum area really necessary other than to demoralize the local civilian population?
This was awsome
If it walks like a duck and it talks like a duck, it must be a duck billed dinosaur...or a duck.
@ 10:30 -- Bonus! MPHG clip! TYVM !!!
Can you do a video on the best preserved Dino today? The ankolosouarus (spelt wrong but I don’t have time 😭 I belive it’s the spikey club tailed one, and I think was discovered in Canada?… I think😅)
The fact you never had hughe neutron mention ducks is a crime
this one's a lot of fun
I present you the Deinocheirus: a VERY big duck!
Hadrosaurids are the best dinosaurs and I don't care what anyone thinks
This is a fact. Nobody can deny it.
You should make a sequel with Deinocheirus, that is my favorite duck like dinosaur.
Duck-like dinosaurs. I call them Quacken.
How could you miss Ouranosaurus-the duckbill that actually lived in swamps? Or therizinosaurus?
What a great dynasty of the duck...
"duck dinosaur"
wow look at that "pug canid"
thats a weird looking "lion feline"
I love the use of Month Python XD
That Hadrosaurus fossil is at the museum of natural history Drexel in Philly. Had to do a double take haha.
Nice vid
I hearby crown the duck as the duckiest of all duck-like dinosaurs.
They must have had some biiig frozen peas back then
oh hadrosaurus, my favorite 8 ton duck-lizard cattle
What a long and storied history of Duck-like Dinosaurs in the tree of life.
A grand lineage of these Duck Dinosaurs;
A “Duck Dino-sty” if you will
If I named spinosaurus I would call gigaduckphoneus meaning giant duck murderer
"How majestic."
I mean, I would argue the Spinosaurus is more like a crocodile, given it probably had similar electro-receptors on its snout and hunted similarly in the water.
This is my kind of Duck Dynasty.
that explains big bird behavior.
imagine evolution if smoothies and protein shakes were freely available.
So, the only looking duck dinos.... ARE TTTTTSINTAO AND MAIA! tsintao has a skull of unicorn and scientist could make a duck with 1 horn on its head so tsintao gets its real relative instead of a near relative
Spinosaurus are more Grebe-like (weird body proportions, eats fish, dives and can't move on land). Duck comparisons are better with Deinocheirus (omnivore, with wide beak that has adaptions to both water and land).
Cant hepl but to read tbm as the british museum. Not tge budget museum. Was that intentional?
The new 2022 paper on subaqueous foraging really destroys this one 😔
offended that deinocheirus wasn't mentioned
I grew up about 20 minutes from where the fossil of hadrosaurus foulkii was found
the fact deinocheirus isn't in this is a sin
I mean, the fact that he even didn't mentioned that ducks are actually dinosaurs.
@@PineappleOnPizza69 Yes
