I was honestly kind of surprised this wasn't in the base game. Cause right you can't really make a beach that transitions to a different material without a hard edge that you need to cover up. Great work!
@@sully_skylines Thank you! Yeah, It was hard to make a breakdown that didn’t go too deep but still got the key parts and hopefully was somewhat interesting..
I watched the whole video as I'm sure most every CSll enthusiast will. Thanks for your efforts and cant wait to see what else your mind come up with. Your one of many shinning beacon in the community, Like I said in other post, "Give us the keys we,ll Drive"
Puddles when it rains? That’d be even more impressive than what you just showed. Great work! !! Could you theoretically do dynamic snow accumulation on roads as well?
This will be the perfect and best mod for me, because I love painting and changing ground textures in my cities! Thank you for the fascinating video too, it was really great!
This looks incredible! I am in awe of you and all the other modders who can understand this kind of thing, and are creating fantastic mods for the rest of us. 👏
Nice video! Cool to hear how the mod works and looking forward to the release. Speaking of mod tutorials, one thing I'd like to see is a basic technical tutorial on how to make/replace shaders in the game
I wish there would be one. Even in CS1. It would be cooler and realistic that fresh roads are painted darker and lightens up over time and with poor road service you’d get pot holes and patches on roads. It would add a lot of aesthetic to your city that you can tell apart old town from new neighborhoods
First of all, thank you! And yes! I'm currently working on an update where the performance of the painting will be drastically improved, along with a new shader that blends textures more smoothly. I'm not quite sure when the update will be ready, but the mod will notify you!
Yes! I wasn't sure if these kinds of videos would interest people, but I was surprised by how much appreciation this video has gotten so far, so I will definitely post more videos about the development! You're also welcome to join my Discord server, where I'll post updates more frequently.
I hope you have great success. Modders like you and the others are the reason why the game is worth buying.

Great work!
This is going to shorten the usage of decals by a a lot! I LOVE it
Why do modders always have to fix the game. Man, this is amazing.
Great to hear more about how the mod works. Very interesting 👍

Such a huge upgrade from the line based decals! Amazing work

This is a great video. Really insightful and I learnt a few things. It gives a new appreciation for mod makers as we get to see the work involved.
This is pretty damn epic! Big up🤟
Finally we will be able to paint a really realistic beach and more 🥳
Thanks to your impressive work!
This looks really good, can't wait to see it released! the surface area beach decals are so hard to blend out. This would be perfect
Take all the time you need! Great job so far, it looks great!
Very impressive work, sir! 👏👍
So impressed by your knowledge and skill. Amazing!
The road wear mod seems very interesting too!

I can't wait for this to be available:))) Thank you for this!!!
Incredible work!!! 🎉
Amazing work!!!
@@elgendo87 thank you bro!
holy crap, finally, I was pissed with that awfullly unnatural area texture model of the game
So the tesselation idea would allow puddles to form as you said. Would that also allow snow to cover the painted textures as well?
Will the early access Version become some Updates? And if is there a timeline? Love your mod right know even in this early stage
First of all, thank you!
