It's like winning the lottery. Most lottery winners lose it all within 5 years or 10 years even if they don't plan on going on huge spending sprees. Getting huge sums of money doesn't suddenly develop good financial habits. From my experience kids with both parents, very religious family's etc, parents who are very strict. Those kids be the ones who act out the most, especially when they are around kids who are less fortunate. It's like they do have to try to qualify themselves and it never ends up good. Truth be told you can't save everyone. When the light shines the brightest it shows you who you really are deep within. Ja is definitely walking the wrong path and the world is watching and that itself can drive a young man over the edge.
Mmm… I agree with you about sone kids from homes like that. But most turn out to be good people in society that has had a good home, religious and strict to a “certain degree” growing up, but I hear you cause I’ve seen exactly what you said as well!

I was born and raised in Memphis. Live here today. Ja needs to stop messing around with guns because they are NO JOKE. He has put himself in a great position to live a very comfortable life and needs to not do anything to jeopardize that.
When your culture is gangs and guns, this is what you get. Its cool to be 'gangsta' and people will defend it to their literal death. Its one of the many things that hold society back.
It's the reason most young successful men leave the neighborhood they grew up in cause you're going to be tested and it's hard from my experience but I was broke with nothing to lose so I went all in.
Ja morant is only 23. At 23 I’m sure we all was still doing dumb things the only difference is he’s a millionaire and a celebrity so it’s magnified. Hopefully this is the situation that makes him learn and mature from it.
"This guy's a gangster? His real name's Clarence And Clarence lives at home with both parents And Clarence's parents have a real good marriage". Ja Morant is a real life Clarence😂💀💀
Joy, your way off on your monologue. You're really going to blame slavery for a generationally wealthy NBA player waving a gun around in an Instagram video? If he grows up and stops doing stupid stuff he will be worth a billion dollars before he's done.
Ja wags a gun on IG and these people are blaming slavery lol. Bit of a reach there. He's a young rich kid, who's likely immature and surrounded by the wrong people. We don't need to go back to slavery to see that. This show isn't going to last much longer.
The number one issue in the black community is a lack of accountability. It shows with Ja. It’s always someone else’s fault instead of taking ownership.
Yeah man I'm biracial so it's a little different situation. But I definitely relate to being called an Oreo and that I'm a white boy. Took until my 20's to not bother me and to just be myself.
Never go somewhere where you’re the richest man in the room! Finally Shady said something meaningful. If you’re richest man in the room you have the most to lose. If all athletes/stars thought like this they would get in a lot less trouble.

Can’t blame this on “The people around him”. It’s lazy. He is a fully grown and competent adult. He should already know what he was doing was risky. At least he didn’t hurt anyone or himself. This is why you have parents to help you navigate these issues during your maturation as an adult.
What's the difference between a young person working in a factory and a young sports star? Are they not the same in years? Why then does someone that messes up but is not celebrated not given the same excuse based on age. Do the millions of dollar serve to judge someone differently? I hope that's not the case. JM should be held to the same standards as any young man. Please let's stop the BS and let's stop giving these punks a free ride. I was waiting for Joy to tell us she too use to carry a firearm in the hood. I see two men who because of their abilities led a very pamper life.
I don't know what yall are talking about when yall said shady gave the best take. Please explain. All i hear is excuses. This isn't just one mistake. This man had a list of allegations piling on him all week and then to go on IG and try and flex is just being completely tone deaf. As a black man I'm tired of hearing the excuse, "it's hard to be young, black, and successful." What do you mean? He's got the blueprint of great players in the league to look up to. He's trying so hard to be something he's not. I'm not even against guns, but when you start trying to flex with it and throw up gang signs you're inviting trouble, not just carrying for protection. On a side note that's why the NBA has heavy security so you don't have to. This man has a daughter, crazy endorsements, and 200 million, but you'd rather be NBA youngboy. All these dudes that grew up in the hood (Stephen Jackson, Jalen rose, paul pierce) act like they're the only one that allowed to speak on Ja Morants situation like they're gatekeepers. "He made a mistake and apologized." I don't care about none of that. After all that been put out with the pacers, the 17yr old, the mall security. That's not simple mistakes. Zion is in new Orleans and he ain't letting his city influence him, Trae isn't letting ATL influence him. All these ex nba hood players did come from that lifestyle while Ja didn't. He trying to pursue that life. Dude is old enough to know right from wrong.
I respect Acho’s point of view. I experienced the same thing growing up. Not being fully accepted as Black because you don’t behave a certain way. However, we are all responsible for our actions. There are no excuses. You’re an adult.
Facts!! He’s talking like that because he got called out a few weeeks ago for his Bs. This is more of a case of a person that didn’t grow up in a certain life glorifying it.
I appreciated shady’s comments so much!! Everybody bashing Ja and kicking him while he’s down isn’t it. We know he messed up but to see how certain individuals and even certain African American athletes are going about it is corny. He’s 23 years old and isn’t the first NBA player to go through certain situations like this. He can learn from this and we will see where he goes from this point.
He didn’t call someone a bad name or go too fast in a school zone, he’s been involved in multiple events involving firearms, allegedly beat up and threatened a kid with a gun and is now flashing guns on social media, idk how you wouldn’t already know not to do that stuff
Bruh quit making excuses that's why our community can't strive and move forward cuz yall always wanna baby ppl yall like why ain't more 23 years Olds doing what ja do?
There are times you have to just listen and agree. No need for any debate. Unless you've been a young athlete given this mind blowing fame and dough like shady has, then you can't properly judge. He's been there. All he is saying is: everyone gets presented with such choices when young but ADD to that MILLIONS of accessible cash to do WTF you want and...for every 200 lebron's who handle it well, there a couple of Ja Morants peeking their heads with the dumb shyt. It's not just him, he's just got the brightest lights on him RN!

Very disappointed with Joy and Shady's takes here. They missed the point completely. His real name is Temetrius. He grew up in the burbs with both parents and now that he's a big shot he wants to act hood??? Something ain't right about this. Someone who really had to come up out of the mud will check him one of these days and it will be ugly. Someone in his circle needs to try to set him right before he ends up leaving his own child without a father..
Acho that makes no sense in Jas case. Your peers are the reason you felt like that. ha Morants peers aren’t making him feel that way he just wants to project a certain image but it isn’t coming from the people he’s around the most
Oh god, can one show make it about Ja Morant and not make it about themselves! “I’ve been through a similar situation”, “I am Ja Morant”, “I’ve been in his shoes”, “I know what he’s going through”. Just shut the eff up and talk about what he is going through.

these monologues must staaaaahp. my god. 3 minutes in and all you hear is acho preaching.
Shady never disappoints with the super surface takes
?
You're right he should have blamed this one on slavery like Joy did.
How was that surface level? Do you even know what that means lol
Brains like urs , get in the way of common sense.
@@is0sceles 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shady had the best take by far on this segment because it hit him close to home. Sucks Ja had to learn the hard way but hopefully he does for the better
No he didn’t. Shaft made some great points but wasn’t the best take. He’s speaking from a place of “I wish someone had excused my behavior” instead of “I wished someone had pulled me aside” first.
Shady making excuses….. he always very athlete friendly and as a athlete I get it! But Ja ain’t running the streets with a bunch of “hood dudes” he grew up with cause he ain’t grow up that way…… he let the hard streets of Memphis get to his head Nd he tryna fit in
It’s hard being a black man in America that’s for sure. You aren’t black enough to your own community if you don’t act a certain way and other races place so many stereotypes on you but at the end of the day, when you’re an adult you’re responsible for your own actions. Ja Morant doesn’t deserve a pass or any sympathy because he’s young and has a lot of money. He needs to mature and take responsibility for your own actions. These are lessons he should’ve learned when he was a child
Shady trill ASF... That's why he hit the nail on the head like that. High IQ!
Shady was Straight goofy on this subject
Great job Acho well said
From my experience kids with both parents, very religious family's etc, parents who are very strict.
Big facts I agree
Mmm… I agree with you about sone kids from homes like that. But most turn out to be good people in society that has had a good home, religious and strict to a “certain degree” growing up, but I hear you cause I’ve seen exactly what you said as well!
Right exactly he has to prove his blackness
@@davidbaggs2273 correct David I agree let’s put a percentage on it that turn out bad like Ja versus the ones that are good citizens in society and don’t cause trouble
Oh man I can’t even start to do that bro
I’m just saying I’ve seen kids turn out both ways. I’ve raided 4 and thank God they all turned out fantastic. But I seen good parents have kids go a little off the rails.
I’m not faulting Ja. I’ve done the exact same thing. Not on instagram.
But the same thing and worse.
But bro has a high standard he has to hit if he wants the bank roll coming to him. He got to grow up quick. I think JA just got sone of the wrong people around him. I think he will make it ok. I hope 🤞
Joy lost me on that one.. rare L take blaming slavery I MEAN CMON 🤡
Lol she didn’t blame slavery.. you missed it
The realest episode since Marcellus left. Good job Acho hope more to come 👌🏾
I was born and raised in Memphis. Live here today. Ja needs to stop messing around with guns because they are NO JOKE. He has put himself in a great position to live a very comfortable life and needs to not do anything to jeopardize that.
Ja doing the most but I'm always here for Joy 😏
When your culture is gangs and guns, this is what you get. Its cool to be 'gangsta' and people will defend it to their literal death. Its one of the many things that hold society back.
Bro is about to fumble the biggest bag
It's the reason most young successful men leave the neighborhood they grew up in cause you're going to be tested and it's hard from my experience but I was broke with nothing to lose so I went all in.
why does it have to be a color issue? why cant it just be "hes a man who is on the wrong path?" this is the problem
Ja morant is only 23. At 23 I’m sure we all was still doing dumb things the only difference is he’s a millionaire and a celebrity so it’s magnified. Hopefully this is the situation that makes him learn and mature from it.
Love Acho....bro always brings it!
tf was joy's take lol
"This guy's a gangster? His real name's Clarence
And Clarence lives at home with both parents
And Clarence's parents have a real good marriage". Ja Morant is a real life Clarence😂💀💀
Man there was some gems in this one
Joy, your way off on your monologue. You're really going to blame slavery for a generationally wealthy NBA player waving a gun around in an Instagram video? If he grows up and stops doing stupid stuff he will be worth a billion dollars before he's done.
Ja wags a gun on IG and these people are blaming slavery lol. Bit of a reach there. He's a young rich kid, who's likely immature and surrounded by the wrong people. We don't need to go back to slavery to see that. This show isn't going to last much longer.
Was about to ask where Dave at but I know why he isn’t here 😂
They can talk about a white person that messed up but Dave can't talk about a black person messing up
The number one issue in the black community is a lack of accountability. It shows with Ja. It’s always someone else’s fault instead of taking ownership.
I can hear the video with no problem.
Glad I watched that till the end, shady said “never go somewhere where your the richest man in the room”
Congrats Ja. Let's see how well they do in the playoffs now.
I agree with Acho…I was told the same thing. It hurts for awhile
Yeah man I'm biracial so it's a little different situation. But I definitely relate to being called an Oreo and that I'm a white boy. Took until my 20's to not bother me and to just be myself.
Having 2 parents who are working/educated should be NORMAL...not an anomaly
He brought a gun on a plane. That’s a federal crime
No he didnt
Not trying to hear Acho talk about blackness or culture when he was ducking that conversation with Van Lathan.
Exactly what I was thinking the same thing.
Acho is the biggest clown
It's funny when the woke eat each other
strong discussion , great perspectives from Joy and Shady as usual. pretty surprised. acho wasn’t too bad on this one either, keep it coming SFY
Big truth!!!! Big facts!!!
this woman is really blaming white people for this man’s actions mind blowing af
That last part Shady was real af
G shyt. Iykyk
Really it's white supremacy that's making ja feels he needs to act this way? To act more gangster? More black? She really said that.
Man wtf is joy talking about nobody ever said you less black cause you got 2 parents in the household
Never go somewhere where you’re the richest man in the room! Finally Shady said something meaningful. If you’re richest man in the room you have the most to lose. If all athletes/stars thought like this they would get in a lot less trouble.
That nba youngboy has me shooting random ppl at red-lights with my fingers 😂😂😂 let's talk about the music I ain't shooting nobody with Michael Jackson onn for real 😁😁😁
In other words, his return is hinging on what they perceive to be the public’s perception of him returning.
Well spoken Shady. Ja will come around....just gotta take a few lumps
Ja acting like this because of slavery and white supremacy, I'm sorry, what???
It's called historical and intergenerational trauma.

G SHYT. Iykyk
This was a good discussion. Shady was so on point. Props to him for keeping it all the way real.
😂
Shady was straight goofy on this subject
@@maurice1290 agreed!!!
Wow that comment at end by McCoy is something!
Wtf is Acho talking about everybody from the hood wanna make it out nobody wants Ja to be tough
Facts!! He’s talking like that because he got called out a few weeeks ago for his Bs. This is more of a case of a person that didn’t grow up in a certain life glorifying it.
everyone from the hood wants to make it out? nah...
Great break down...well said!!
Clarence really did it🤣🤣🤣
Ja 'Private G' Morant 🤣🤣
Shady was really good in the segment
It always been like that
I appreciated shady’s comments so much!!
Stop it. It's called accountability. He's a GROWN man. This has been an issue and I don't feel bad for him at all!!! Stop making excuses.
Bruh quit making excuses that's why our community can't strive and move forward cuz yall always wanna baby ppl yall like why ain't more 23 years Olds doing what ja do?
He has not been held accountable whatsoever. Multiple instances where he could have been charged and wasn't

Acho is not your typical African American youth from the hood. His parents are Nigerians.
Your peers are the reason you felt like that. ha Morants peers aren’t making him feel that way he just wants to project a certain image but it isn’t coming from the people he’s around the most
You’ve spoken to his peers or the people around him before ?
Dominique Lane And you know this how? Cause you are speaking like you have first hand knowledge of what's going on in Ja's circle.
Oh god, can one show make it about Ja Morant and not make it about themselves! “I’ve been through a similar situation”, “I am Ja Morant”, “I’ve been in his shoes”, “I know what he’s going through”. Just shut the eff up and talk about what he is going through.
