His worst passing accuracy in his Madrid tenure was 92 percent
A legend of the game
Safe passers should have 100 percent accuracy. How many assists from open play does he have?
He has plenty of assist. Go troll elsewhere. No one has 100% pass rate
@@josephajibowo-wp2rw What midfielder has 100 percent pass accuracy in one whole season? Saying safe passers should have 100 percent accuracy every season, that's not how football works
He's not a legend of the game. Obviously a top level pro, but never close to the best player on his team, let alone an all time great. I could name 20 midfielders better than him that don't have his trophy cabinet.
Go ahead then, name 20 better midfielders.

He is not fed up. He is just a very principled man.
He knows that he could not be further for 3 years at that point to left out.
Exactly. He just doesn't want to be on the bench and with the new talent he probably saw that coming. And he wanna end at high. Such an L take by Frank honestly
@@chitranshuswami2957 His stance/comments on playing in Saudi Arabia last year. Amongst other things show the mindset of this man. It’s never about money.
Yeah. Cryuff, Xavi, Pep, every playet to have played almost has no bad words about him. I see some fans underrating him. I was trying to figure out why. I think it's because he doesn't do take ons as much and that entertainment factor of dribbling. But he does his job so wonderfully. With precision. Every Real Madrid fan realises the void this is.
Toni Kroos is often like salt in a dish I feel. When the dish is great, people don't praise it above other ingredients, but when it's not there you immediately notice what's missing!
Such a legend. With Modric staying, I was hoping to go to Bernabeu to watch these two. Sadly, I won't be able to see Toni live 😢
He said he wants to have more time for his son. I think he'll finally enjoy his retirement. He already has a podcast that’s quite popular, and Tbf he was probably financially secure by 27 and still kept playing.
Retiring while you are still playing at such high level is something to admire. Real Madrid and football will always remember him.

I don't know why they're talking about this situation as if Kroos's only options was go to a less competitive league or retire. He was offered a new contract at Madrid, Ancelotti was very eager to keep him, his relationship with the club was amazing, if he didn't retire, he would have continued at Madrid for another season
I don’t think that’s the point they’re making. They already said that he was at still very good. I think the point about the lower leagues was about how other players never want to leave football. That was not about Kroos.

Madridistas so desperate to call their players a GOAT. The term literally implies there is only one, and - grab your tissues - it will forever be Messi, the greatest player to ever walk the pitch. However, that doesn't change the fact Kroos is definitely one of the better players of the game though, magnificent. I hate the fact that this is such a lazy take. Kroos has been so clear about his plans and how he sees life post football. A quick google and some podcast episodes would have given y’all much more depth. Kroos loved the game but never wanted to be one of those guys in the bench or in a lower level team. He can’t deal with incompetence and he demands so much from himself and everyone around him. For those that know he literally stopped with the German team because of how bad the coaching and level was, and prolonged time with family and Madrid. Now he’s going to retire a legend , he just opened his football academy for boys and girls in Madrid. Clearly Kroos has a well established path post playing days.

Iniesta and Zidane were better midfielders
This is a sad day, I feel Toni still had a lot to offer to our beautiful game
I am still coping with football with guys like Zidane, Pablo Aimar, Riquelme, Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo, Scholes, Frings, Ballack, Seedorf, Bastian, Kaka all retired and now Kroos. Feels to me like football is slowly dying because most of the youngsters and midfielders we are considering to be the best now would all be average players back in the days.
I‘m also a nostalgia junkie. I think there’s definitely differences in the way and the reasons the game is played today that have led to everything feeling a bit less magic. But undoubtedly there is still young talent that will be deserving of the torch.
many people had the same feelings about the guys you mentioned, after guys like Maradona, Matthäus, Gullit, Gascoigne etc. retired.
There's no copies of Toni Kroos.

The video of Real Madrid to Toni Kroos that will make you cry, tears dried. Danke German Sniper and what a player. Brilliant measured and calculated passes.
It is highly recommended and a MUST for Real Madrid management, board of directors, coaching staff, people working in their club who are involved on the transfer-market to permanently sell who are currently out on loan to play for another football club, do not offer a loan with buy back clause or with a number or percentage rights, recall or return players that are currently on-loan by another football club to play for Real Madrid, ageing ((28) years old and above), inconsistent (due to limited playing time, never have played and always on the bench, poor defensively, not performing well) regardless of age, injury prone, those who are not comfortable playing in different position, that MUST happen on or before July 2027. We are referring to Modric, Kroos, José Ignacio Fernández Iglesias "Nacho", José Luis Mato Sanmartín "Joselu", Vasquez, Daniel Carvajal Ramos "Dani Carvajal", Courtois, Alaba, Rudiger, Arrizabalaga, Mendy, Daniel Ceballos Fernández "Dani Ceballos" Jesús Vallejo Lázaro "Jesus Vallejo", Francisco José García Torres "Fran Garcia", Diaz, Juan Miguel Latasa Fernández "Juanmi Latasa", Reinier Jesus Carvalho "Reinier", Rafael Marín Zamora "Rafa Marin", Nicolás "Nico" Paz Martínez, & Guler.
Once they get sold these are the players should be sign based on their positions on or before July 2027.
Right Back: Jesus Fortea, Malo Gusto, Pedro Lima
Left Back: Alphonso Davies, Miguel Gutierrez
Centre Back: William Saliba, Leny Yoro, Dean Huijsen
Main Striker: Kylian Mbappe
Lastly Real Madrid must never offer a contract to these players for a RIGHT BACK position, that are inconsistent regardless of age, poor defensively, has disadvantage of height and strength (lacks muscles), proven already that unable to stop wingers/strikers in different leagues, injury-prone, has beyond 60 million euro's transfer-market value, and ageing 27 years old and above, and turning 27 years old and above on year 2027. We are referring to Darmian, Walker, Trippier, Di Lorenzo, Cancelo, Dumfries, Calabria, White, Mazraoui, Wan-Bissaka, Alexander-Arnold, Hakimi, Tomiyasu, Royal, Dalot, Porro, James, Boey, Frimpong, Couto, Livramento, Terracciano, Bradley, Sanchez, Lewis, Fresneda and Gray.
Toni has always been clear that he wants to end his career at Madrid and at the highest level of performance he can give. So the retirement part is not shocking, the fact that he chose this year to retire and not next year comes as a shock. He has showed one of his bets forms this season and Real Madrid still wanted to keep him.

LEGEND
Toni should be on the top 5 ballon d’or this year
Seeing how more emotional and passionate he’s been this year explains it all. He knew this would be his last year playing
Toni Kroos is a midfield maestro one of the best number 8s we’ve ever seen. Imagine tell your kids that a guy who wasn’t the most skillful fastest or strongest player dominated football and won almost everything for club and country. He’s a serial winner and has won trophies consistently whether it’s with Real Madrid Bayern Munich or the Germany national team and his trophy cabinet many players dream of having it. He was part of a Bayern Munich team that won the treble in the 2012-13 season, he helped Germany win the World Cup in 2014 and while at Real Madrid everyone talks about Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale as players who are pivotal in them conquering European football, Kroos helped them win many champions league titles.
His style of play catches the eye. He’s not known for his dribbling or skills, he’s a deep lying playmaker who impacts the game in unparalleled ways. He’s never been a flashy player but the way he plays is just something else. He understands the basic components of football and that’s because he’s so intelligent has that ice cold composure and technique, very good on the ball and has an unlimited range of passing that many players cannot replicate. Even though it seems like he’s always playing sideways passes, at least every time he passes the ball and has possession, he always make the right decision, you can’t say that about a lot of midfielders who have better numbers than him. One of the biggest problems in modern football is people who only obsess over stats as the only thing that fans care about is goals and assists nothing else. In my opinion, we need to move beyond this whole “stat driven culture” and appreciate players who influence the game like Kroos does even if his stats weren’t always dominate. Real Madrid is going to miss him a lot simply because he’s a special player who is irreplaceable in his own way.
The news broke my heart.. I was expecting Modric but Toni?
Toni Kroos is humble and don't talk much, like Sergio Busquets, with calm, he went on to become world champion and club icon.

Even though Toni Kroos has had a fantastic season and has a year or 2 left in him at the highest level, his decision to announce his retirement at the end of the season is shocking, at the end of the day, you want to end your career off on a high. He obviously wanted to retire at Real Madrid because we know that he has an agenda against certain players who go to Saudi Arabia for the money, but thats for another conversation. The perfect ending for him is winning his 6th champions league title in his last ever game for Real Madrid and win the EUROs for Germany on home soil and then possibly the Ballon Dor. When you’re someone who has won everything there is to win at the highest level for club and country (almost), you can’t really blame him for his decision to retire at the end of the season despite being 34 years old.
There’s a possibility that he ends his legendary career on a high and he deserves it because he’s a flawless and professional player never fights against anyone has class very respectable and doesn’t care about headlines PR or media hype compared to his teammates. He’s a serial winner a footballing legend and we lost another great in Kroos. Toni Kross had that Spanish technique coupled with German industry. I've watched so much of Kross, stationed as a pure 8, near the left back, avail himself to ease the press and he never seem to lose the ball. Although technically gifted he really did put a number of miles on his body, especially with how undroppable the 3 of them were. I've also watched Touchmeni a great deal as well as Cavaminga & they seem not to think as quickly as Kross, despite their other strenghts.
As with Michael Ballack, technically gifted players with a hellava engine.
Every generation will have special players. Kross easily makes the list of special players in this generation. There is no compare to other players because there is not need for this. We must all applaud and revel at his uniqueness and greatness.

I'm dismayed by this news to be honest. I'll live to tell my kids I got to watch Antonio play for the best team in the world.
Enjoy retirement Champ! You have absolutely earned it💐
He‘s won almost every trophy, so there‘s not much to play for. He made it back to the national team and will play another Euros, so there‘s that. He’s a proud guy and doesn’t want to be relegated to the Real bench eventually, while he also frequently ridicules players leaving Europe for Saudi Arabia, so that is no option either.
Above all else, he’s a man of principle and a devoted family man. He’s well aware that there’s so much more to experience in life. And if you know Kroos you know that he‘s a huge basketball fan and a good friend of Dirk Nowitzki. Watch Dirk and you realize that he probably serves as an everyday reminder to not overdo it; Dirk can hardly bend his knees anymore and will have a hard time running around with his kids, and I‘d imagine Kroos certainly doesn’t want that for himself and his family.
Toni is world 🌎 class player he make everything easy in football ⚽
toni kroos is great footballer with a great career for both club and country, definitely a legend
It’s a shame he didn’t win a Balo D’Or. Has that much talent. I’m glad Benzema, Modric, and Jude/Vini (whoever wins for this year) were able to win during and after the Messi-Ronaldo era. Kroos will be missed by all Madrid fans.
Gracias Toni 🫡
